Century roofing installed our roof several years ago. There has been an issue with our roof and black tar dripping down the sides of our house. I have called at least 3 times to get someone out and they always have an excuse why no one has shown up and then promises that they will send someone out soon. No one has ever shown up. read more

Century Roofing installed our tile roof on our new build 8 years ago. About 3 years ago, my neighbor flew a drone over our house and noticed we were missing a ton of tiles. I called Century Roofing 3 times before they finally sent someone out. They quoted me $3200 to fix the 30 tiles and needed to be replaced/fixed. What?! They claim there isn't a warranty. Why should I have to pay $3200 for their poor install?! I do not recommend this company! read more

I didn't use this company; my neighbor did, so I can't give it a fair comparison in value to other roofers. I can tell you, though, that they left their trash all over my property. I am picking up chunks of old roofing material, plastic packaging, drink containers, nails, etc from my front yard, back yard, kid's sandbox, and front porch. I really don't think this should be my job. My roof is still fairly new, but if I were in the market for a roofer, I would be extremely hesitant to trust a company that shows so little regard for courtesy, professionalism, and attention to detail. read more

Century Roofing installed our new roof a year and a half ago. Since then, every time it rains it leaks through the lights and onto our hardwood floors in the kitchen. We have called them and they have come out twice, only to find "nothing wrong" with that part of the roof, but to blame it on a flat part of the roof (that wasn't covered in the contract). However, the leaks persist. We had another professional roofer come out who quickly identified the problem. It apparently was a cut shingle that was never sealed back together...and this was not anywhere near the flat portion of the roof. It was directly above the leak coming down, on part of the roof where they applied new shingles. Hence, the leaking has been identified. It is a problem with the "new" roof they put on. Now it's finally raining again in KC (yay for our yards), and it's drenching our kitchen -- and we can't get ahold of Century Roofing. Poor customer service. Poor job in the first place, and second and third times they came out to identify the problem. read more

Century roofing installed the roof on our new house. We have had an area leaking every time it rains that is consistent with where our deck meets the house. They have come out 3 different times: the first time, they caulked the area and said that should fix it. The second time, they climbed up a ladder (didn't even go on the roof!) and told us that it was a window causing the leak, nothing to do with the roof. There isn't even a window near where these leaks are occuring!! The third time they came out when we wouldn't accept that as an answer, they told us only the shingles are covered under the warranty. Why would they come out three times to work on a leak, if it wasn't covered in the first?! Bad business to me, and I'm guessing the repair will cost more than they want to pay so they are trying to find any way out of it and make excuses. I have called numerous times, and nobody calls back. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO INSTALL YOUR ROOF IF YOU WANT A GOOD PRODUCT! read more

Over promised - under delivered. Century Roofing just replaced my roof, it was a horrible experience. Dates were never confirmed, promises were not kept and misstatements were told. They installed two different colors of tiles and then told me it was dust. I'm still picking up debris left in the yard. When I sold the house after the roof was only 1 month old, it did not pass from the buyer' inspector because of bad workmanship. They finally fixed it, but only after meeting with the manufacturer and getting a sr manager involved. It's A BIG hassle to work with Century Roofing. There are many other roofing companies, go with someone else. read more

If there was less than one star. They have earned it .... While living in my rental. The owner mentioned a roofing company would be by to put on a new roof Well they never informed me of a date.... One day I heard pounding and nailing looked out to see several men working on my place. They blocked my truck in with their work bin (huge and needed a truck to move it) not only did they block my truck in my garage for the day but I ASKED them if they were coming back the following day and I was told No, they would be finished at end of day. I missed my medical appointment that day and waited until end of day to ask them to please let me out of my garage. I had to wait until a crew chief could show up with his truck to move this huge bin I was beyond shocked when I returned home that night at 10pm to see a huge piece of wood on TOP of the hood of my truck !! It was fiercely windy and also there was ice if my hood as I got closer I saw the wood had rocked on my paint job and had totally scratched my entire hood up I tried to lift the wood off my truck but as it was a huge rainstorm the wet board was too heavy for me to lift All they had to do was ask me to move my truck !!! It took additional time as the crew of three didn't speak English .... I woke up the next day to find my truck scratched down to the basecoat. I left a note for them explaining they had ruined my paint on my truck That was almost a year ago I was reassured by the property manager that I wouldn't have to pay any deductible that the owner said he would reimburse me for the damage. I got estimates and in the mean time the house sold and the new owners property manage took over I sent in my estimates and both property managers did for me as well Believe it or not they NEVER responded to my letters. They did respond to the last property manager saying they would pay 250.00 towards repair. It's far over 800.00 and they flat out refuse to pay This Brian Fisher person won't even get back to me. I'm now sending my final demands and will have to take them to court It's been almost a YEAR What BAD business. Luckily it was so irritating to me at the time so I took several photos proving THEY did the damage in the meantime I'm driving a truck that the paint has flaked off on the hood. The sides of the front fender and the top No where else does my truck have any damage ... Only where they threw junk off the roof to my truck Unbelievable !!!! Don't they have INSURANCE for these things ? Obviously Brian is refusing to turn it in Is that legal ? Guess I will find out in small claims court read more

I thought I would help those of you out that are considering using this company for a new roof or siding or windows.... First of all - DON'T DO IT! Second of all should you decide to ignore this advice be sure to pay them in full - even if they have done severe damage to your home like they did to ours and THEN YOU file a lawsuit against them for the damage. If you hold off on paying them because they repeatedly promise to take care of all they damaged they WILL sue you and win. We are victims of their game. A few years ago we hired them to roof a smaller home we own in Shawnee Kansas. The roofers took 2 days to roof the home. We were at work and found out after we got off that they had thrown the roofing material over the side of the house and left large black marks all over our white vinyl siding they (the roofers) then decided the way to cover it up was to spray white spray paint over all the marks on all four sides of the home. They also damaged a $1200.00 metal awning over the front door and told us they were sincerely sorry and would take care of it all. We let them try for days to scrub off the spray paint, which did not work. They told us to order a new awning and they would reimburse us - that never happened. We started getting resistance from them immediately after they could not get the spray paint off the siding. We took them to the BBB and could never come to an agreement on anything. They finally said they would put new siding on our house and that they had the white vinyl siding in stock - they tore all the siding off of our home during the winter months and then it set for weeks in a snow storm without siding on any of it. EVERY step of the way they fought with us on fixing things they damaged - THEN due to us holding payment for them not fixing all the things they damaged they sued us. The total roof cost was approx. $3000.00 Also as a side note since this incident had another roofing company have to come out to fix things with this roof that they did not do properly when they roofed it. This whole experience was a nightmare! This company makes money on lawsuits and they do them continually. Look at Johnson County District Attorney's website under public records and find their name... you can see for yourself how they operate! We are honest, hard working people who have NEVER sued anyone and had never been involved in a lawsuit. That is not how we do things. We trusted them to do a good job with our home and then spent close to 2 years in legal battles over this whole situation. We had to take a 2nd mortgage out on our home to pay for all of the legal expenses because of this company. Please DO NOT let yourself get into the mess we got into with them. There are other roofing companies that are not this way with their customers. read more
