People there are friendly and welcoming but still serious about getting better, they take their training seriously but it's a relaxed vibe. The instructors are wonderful, very professional yet personable. High level techniques being shared here. With soo much experience on the mats you have lots of different Jiu-Jitsu styles to choose from. The amenities are exceptional. Nice clean bathrooms, changing rooms and showers. The front desk people are always smiling and helpful when you come in the door. While I haven't gotten to train the striking classes as I primarily train Jiu-Jitsu , they look like a lot of fun and they are training very hard with solid technique. They have lots of quality mat spaces for grappling and striking as well as workout equipment. There are many classes for people to choose from. Giving the most flexibility I have ever seen at a gym. Add in the elevation and the location of a beautiful mountain city, this is one of the best places to train in the country. I highly recommend the gym.

I could see our kids building confidence, even as beginners to these martial arts. I know "jiu jitsu" and "kickboxing" might be intimidating terms, but we found Easton is a place people come to improve themselves and experience community. I'm glad it's right there in central Boulder. Great people. Support this small business! Five Stars!

I think every "trash can" needs to be labeled landfill so folks think about where waste goes and why recycling (or using less) is important

Motive Jiu Jitsu is the only studio I've seen, in three different states, that is closest to the fundamentals and ethics of martial arts, that I grew up with and instilled in my students. She also didn't have much confidence and wouldn't stand up for herself which left her susceptible to being bullied at times. Needless to say, it was hard to watch as a father because I felt helpless. Less than a year into training with Proffessor Anthony, her personality had gone through the roof with confidence. By that time she had a solid Jiu-Jitsu foundation, and had even begun to compete and win in tournaments! And it all started to show big in her personal life, personal relationships, and just overall happiness. Today my daughter continues to thrive, battle, and win Jiu-Jitsu tournaments! She is still that sweet girl that she always was, but in addition is now very proud and confident. She no longer has problem making friends and now quickly and easily stands up for herself and others. The discipline and confidence of learning Jiu-Jitsu has also spilled over into school as she's a straight A student. I can't stress how much I recommend having a child join Motive. Just recently we signed up our 6 year old son and I look forward to proudly watch him grow into this journey as well. Professor Anthony is awesome with the kids! He has a great balance of fun, and learning a real effective martial art that you will keep with you for life. For the competitive minded, Proffesor Anthony encourages optional tournaments for his students where he prepares and coaches them for succes. Team Motive has often finished tournaments in the top 5 out of 45 plus schools. Words can't describe how proud I am to watch my daughter compete and perform complex submissions that I've watched pro fighters in the UFC do! 4 years ago I never would have even imagined her doing the things she does now!!!

I've trained in Kickboxing and Muay Thai off and on for almost 10 years and I have never seen a Coach love what they do as much as Erin! Anyone can teach something, but not just anyone can COACH. A coach has to LOVE the sport, and have an obsession with studying the sport... competing experience is always a plus too... Erin simply has it all. You can literally feel his love for the sport, and his students , radiate as he coaches. Jen and Sam are some more great people you will see here and are truly a foundation of the gym as well. You will immediately feel at home, Jen and Sam have such a Papa and Mama Bear spirit. As if the coaching wasn't already enough, you couldn't meet better gym managers/owners than Jen and Sam. I'm a Personal Trainer, so I have been through dozens and dozens of gyms ....and even though this is a fighting gym, there is absolutely no ego and no egos tolerated and these two make sure to keep it that way! Not to be a corn-dog but I am truly grateful I have found this gym! I could go on and on!
