We just got married on June 19th 2010 and used Eastwood Entertainment for our DJ/MC needs. We were originally booked with a different DJ for a whole year before they cancelled on us due to overbooking just 8-10 weeks before our wedding so when I called Eastwood in a panic Brett the owner he was extremely helpful. He assured me we had enough time to book our event and helped me get in contact with his DJ Courtney, who I met for coffee to make sure we clicked before booking him for our event. They are very professional yet can joke around and make you feel like part of the family. One really cool feature on their website is they have an online planner, and timeline which were great during the planning process. They have a song suggestion list and a top requested list to help you choose from too. We mostly let Courtney choose the songs bases on what the crowd was feeling. We did pick the first dance, dad/bride, mom/groom, those kinds of songs but for the dancing part Courtney really knew what he was doing!! Once he started playing the music people hit the dance floor and never stopped dancing until we had to pull the plug. We had to turn the music off and ask our guests to leave because we had to close down the hall! Courtney rocked it all night. He was great and knew exactly what to play at the right time. His choice of music was so good it even had my mother in law playing the air guitar in our wedding video, which she yet to see! The original DJ i was booked with I had already seen in action and knew what to expect so I was a little hesitant when I was first booking with Eastwood, but after meeting Courtney and talking to a bride who just used him for her wedding I was convinced, and now I couldn't have pictured my wedding without him there rocking it! I would 100% use Courtney time and time again for any event! and with having two sisters I'm sure we will be seeing him again for another Myers wedding. read more

My wife and I needed a DJ for our wedding. Our wedding location only allowed for 2 different companies and we chose Eastwood Entertainment for our DJ. Now, let me get this out of the way, if it was up to me, I would have more AM station buttons set up on my radio than FM. I'm just not that into music. My wife on the other hand was more than happy to be in charge of music. I was impressed from the very beginning with Eastwood Entertainment when they sent over this huge binder of music to choose from before we signed a contract. Included in this package was a nice detailed list from the music we wanted to play before the ceremony, during the ceremony, during the reception, first dance, father daughter dance, and even the last song and several songs in between. They even ask how we wanted our DJ to dress up. I have to say, Eastwood Entertainment really made it easy, even a musical/wedding knucklehead like me could figure it out. Someone really took the time to think about it and put together that form. Eastwood Entertainment provided one of their best DJs, Pete. Really nice guy and did a good job in keeping the party moving. You hear a lot about how the DJ screwed up the wedding and didn't play the right music, well even though we first met him day of the event (and I know that is very chancy for a lot you out there) he made it seem like we've been friends for a long time. He was there on time, had the equipment all set up and as soon as wedding time came around, playing the music right on cue. There was zero problems with the music and my wife said that Pete and Eastwood Entertainment exceed her expectations the music snob that she is. Overall very happy with Eastwood Entertainment and Pete. At the end, he even gave me and my bride a CD with all the songs he played during the ceremony. While it's not a much, it meant a lot to my wife and I to have that music. Including the equipment, tip, and about 5-6 hours of time, cost about $1,000. Pete, our DJ, was awesome. There are fantastic interactive tools to selects song playlists and set up timelines on the Eastwood Entertainment site. Of course, our wedding totally went off our timeline. We changed our first dance song, we changed my parent's dance song. We were running about 30-45 minutes behind, and then extended the reception one more hour. Pete totally took care of us; if we wanted a song he didn't have, he'd get it for us. He kept the floor moving, worked well with the other vendors and had a great attitude the whole time. He was cool and not cheesy. My Husband was worried about having a DJ without a prior meeting, but his fears were unfounded. Pete was spot on, ace job. I'd book them again in a heartbeat. read more

We had the pleasure of hiring Eastwood Entertainment for our wedding this Spring. Eastwood took care of music for an outdoor ceremony and for reception at a separate location. Brett was very quick to respond to any questions or concern (we're talking within minutes), and was very patient to answer ALL our questions during our initial phone call. While we were not assigned a DJ until days before our event, once connected, DJ Pete was very easy to work with! After our initial conversation over the phone with DJ Pete, we felt much at ease. I hired Eastwood Entertainment for MY party this past weekend. Everything was wonderful. The DJ had a great personality. My guests were dancing the whole night. There wasn't one of MY friends that I didn't see on the dance floor. We were really fortunate to have Steve DJ our wedding! He showed up on time, set up fast, went with the flow, and helped guide us when it came to structuring the evening and what we should do when. He also did a great job at changing the tone and tempo to suit the group mood, which was really awesome. If I could give 4.5 stars, I would. The only thing that I would have changed was how the last dance was handled. When picking things on the website, we specifically said that the final song should be "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey should be the final song - it's the "Closing Time" of recent years at weddings, and we both love it. Not only was it not the final song (it was played right before we cut the cake) but the final song wasn't announced and it was something I'm 99% sure we didn't choose. I would have liked to do that last dance with my new husband - and some of our guests were a bit disappointed that they didn't get to dance it with us, too. read more

Eastwood Entertainment was on the preferred list for the wedding venue we chose. The quote they gave me was VERY reasonable. After a few issues with venue we decided to have the wedding closer to home. We wanted to stick with Eastwood because their rate was awesome and Brett was very responsive, which every bride appreciates! I decided to meet with our DJ, Pete prior to the wedding to make sure he was cool...I had some suspicion because their rate was so much lower than other companies. Pete definitely put my mind at ease during our meeting. He was confident, had tons of experience, and arrived prepared. A couple days before the wedding Pete met us at the venue to go over some last minute details. This company has GREAT customer service, which is hard to find these days. Our wedding day went smoothly without a hitch! I didn't have a wedding day coordinator to help out the day of the wedding BUT there was no need. Pete followed the timeline we submitted online to a T. He got everyone on the dance floor and kept it that way for several hours! If there were any issues with time, he communicated with me and made sure things still went smoothly. I was so grateful for Pete. He truly was an awesome DJ and wedding coordinator alll rolled into one! I highly recommend this company! read more

My daughter decided to go with Eastwood Entertainment based upon their reviews and they were recommended as a vendor at the venue which she had her wedding. Unfortunately, my daughter, myself many guests were very disappointed with DJ Mario. Not only did he seem to have no interest in getting the guests up and dancing - he appeared to have been in another planet that day--- he could not remember the names of the wedding party and did not pronounce the bride's name correctly as she was introduced. Very poor planning on his part. Me, the mother of the bride had to ask Mario to direct guests to the cake cutting - I have worked many weddings and have observed DJ's being a major part of the wedding. I felt that this definately was missing from my daughter's wedding. I would not recommend them. I contacted Brent, the owner, however, instead of wanting to hear what I had to say - he wanted to know why the bride, my daughter, was not calling him. read more

I needed music for the wedding of my son and his fiance who are in their early 20's. They both said that they and their friends would NOT be dancing, and suggested just setting up an amplified iPod. However, the hotel wanted $300 just to set up $300 worth of self powered speakers! I called the big agency and got a 4-figure quote (ouch), and I talked to an independent guy who wanted to know if it was going to be cool to hit the prop 215 med's. I gave it one last chance and called Brett. Nice guy, easy to talk to. "Yeah," he said, "sometimes the kids don't want to dance and get sweaty." Brett is very knowledgeable about weddings, and I learned that a DJ is kinda like a cattle drive ramrod who keeps the wedding on course. I engaged Eastwood real near the wedding date and we barely got some tunes up on the web-site the night before. Price was good. Anyway, the wedding came and Brett sent out Anthony "The Mad Scientist" (my nick-name for him). Anthony arrived well before start time and set up a big rig sound system . He tapped into the hotel WiFi in case we wanted any other songs. Anthony kept the wedding moving and passed around a wireless mic for the toast and speeches. The first dance was S. Tyler, 'Don't want to miss a thing'. Volume and sound quality were good. Then we started the dancing with 'Dancing Queen' by Abba to celebrate the Swedish ancestry of the bride's family. It was when that tune ended that the reserved and polite Anthony turned into the "Mad Scientist". He started cranking out such funky beats and subtle blends and so many people hit the dance floor that we had to move tables back. Yes, it got CRAZY. The groom, who said he would not be dancing, put on a display of break dancing that morphed into a giant circle dance. It looked like a Caucasian 'Soul Train'. It got hot and the sweat was flying, but the 'Mad Scientist' kept pouring on the funky beats. We ended with a conga line dance, exhausted and happy. My feet were shot and my shirt was soaking wet. I had to drive home half-nakkid with the heater on! Anthony took us from 'no dancing' to a ritualized cathartic sweat lodge. Way to go 'Mad Scientist'! Gosh, this review is long overdue and has been in my queue for almost a year. I would give Eastwood Entertainment six stars if it was possible. Anthony, our DJ, went above and beyond the call of duty--and represented Eastwood Entertainment in the best possible light. In fact, if we ever have a need for a DJ, I'm requesting Anthony specifically. We hired this company to DJ our wedding (August of 2012), and if you've ever planned a wedding, you know that the entertainment is one of the most important services. I decided to go w/ Eastwood (after narrowing my choices down to two) based on the fact that they were approximatley $100+ (can't recall now) cheaper than one of their competitors. The competitor had an extra star on Yelp, so I was hoping that taking the cheaper route wouldn't come back to haunt me later, and I am sure glad it didn't. Everyone at my wedding commented on what a great job Anthony did. I even received a call in the morning of my wedding to clarify one of the details--just as a precaution. I really appreciated that. Our DJ, Pete, did a great job at our wedding. He showed up early to set-up, played everything from our playlist, took song requests, and kept the music going constantly throughout the night. There was some confusion with the bill at the end of the night, but Brett (owner) was very quick to remedy the situation in a very professional manner. Highly recommended. We had Pete for our wedding and he did a fantastic job. Before the wedding the communication between myself & Eastwood was great. Brett (the owner) always responded to my questions very quickly (generally within minutes) and there website that you use to pick songs to play/not to play and set up the wedding day itinary is invaluable. The day of went about as well as it could. To me, the DJs two most important jobs are: 1) Making sure the reception runs smoothly from event to event (first dance to cake cutting to bouquet toss, etc.) 2) Making sure there's an open line of communication between him and the bride/groom so that they know what's going on and when Pete was absolutely perfect in both respects. When it was time to do something and we were still greeting tables he'd politely come over and tell us nicely that we should start an event soon. It was great to have a coordinator there so we didn't have to worry about it. Not only was Pete great with the communication and coordinating but he made sure everyone was on the dance floor and had a good time until it was time to leave. To top it all off, one of our guests had car battery trouble and there was Pete running to his car between songs to get a portable quick start from his car. I'll never get married again, but if I did I'd be sure to use Eastwood and get Pete as the DJ again. read more

I was in charge of hiring the DJ for my best friend's wedding as hers cancelled 3 weeks before the wedding. She lives out of town and didn't have any time and was so stressed out . I went to wedding fairs I looked at bridal magazines and had the toughest time talking to several different companies trying to find the perfect match. I was so nervous booking literally 2 weeks before my wedding as our previous arrangements had fallen through. Our DJ was AMAZING! We had so many compliments throughout the event as well as after. Some guests are even wanting to go with Eastwood Entertainment for their next event. The lighting was very cool, and the way our DJ mixed our songs was great! I coordinated the wedding of a friend not too long ago and her father had contracted with this company. Not only was their website extremely user friendly and SOOOO helpful for my bride (and me too!) but anytime I had a question - I called and Brett would not only answer (what no voice mail?!?! I've used Brett's company for several years in a row for our holiday party and other occasions. They are the best in the biz! DJ's are all very friendly, professional, and they play a great mix of songs. I also love how you can create a request list up front, with songs rated "must play" or "try to squeeze this one in" amongst all the other thousands of songs available, from Sinatra to Metallica. I can't praise these guys enough (DJ Dave). Had a small backyard wedding party at our home - about 15 people. DJ Dave showed up more than an hour before expected to set everything up and get familiar with the place. Music was PERFECT - for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception. He did a great job of taking the partial song list I submitted, sorting them into "dinner" vs "background" vs "dancing" categories, and then filling in with similar-style songs. I would not use Eastwood entertainment again and they are the one vendor we regret hiring. First of all they were difficult to get a hold of and slow to respond to email. We were finally able to speak with her actual DJ before the wedding and well he seemed a little spaced out we thought we covered most of the main points including that we put together a playlist for the dance portion of the evening and the timeline. He arrived late so we had no guest arrival music. He played some of our dance songs during the dinner service and seem to forget about our playlist during some of the dance portion. There were many songs we requested he did not play that he could have. I don't think he paid much attention to the forms that we completed and he delayed our cake cutting without asking us if that was OK. At the end of the day we had a small wedding and I love to dance regardless so it's not as though any of these missteps ruined our wedding But they were by far the least professional vendor we had. They called me twice in two days two months after the wedding because they lost my final payment. We were solicited for Tips via email and in person so here are some tips: Answer emails Be on time and start music on time Play the all songs that the event host take the time to pick from your very malfunctioning website Consult with host before you make any changes to the timeline they provided Play the dance songs requested during the dance portion and not while people are eating dinner or cake. We still said thank you pay the vendor and had a great time because that's the kind of people we are but not because we didn't notice where DJ fell short. Would definitely hire a different company next time. He went on and on about how we should introduce us and we confirmed that with him several times and he never even did. read more

What a great night! We had usedEastwood entertainment 2 years ago for my daughter's bat mitzvah and planned to do the same for my son. Well, in January I had ticked the box-DJ after receiving a quote (quite reasonable) for Erik's event May 6. Fast forward to April and I realize I never paid the deposit so I don't have a DJ booked. I call Brett, the owner. He calms me down and scrambles to find me a DJ since Anthony, who had been the DJ at my daughter's party was unavailable that day. Within 48 hours I had a DJ booked and Brett respected the original quote from January. The party this past Saturday was AMAZING!!! Courtney and Derek were the DJs and they rocked us! Everyone danced. They helped with the side show my daughters had put together. Everyone had such an awesome night. Can't say enough about how professional, on time, responsive, and wonderful Eastwood entertainment is to work with. We chose Eastwood Entertainment as our DJ service for my wedding. We got Pete, who was absolutely awesome. There were just a couple hiccups that could have been avoided that rained on my parade a bit. We didn't properly get announced when walking in, so we had to go out and take pictures, then get introduced on our way back in which was a little awkward. Secondly, I requested that "Spanish Flea" by Tijuana Brass be played after the father daughter dance because it holds special significance with my family (more specifically, my deceased grandfather.) I didn't notice until the next day that it was never played. The worst part, however, was that all of this happened because my song list and timeline never got forwarded to him from him boss. I resent it a total of 3 or 4 times and there was still a huge error. That was extremely disheartening, but I was not a Bridezilla by any means, so I rolled with it. read more
