We had Sound Wave Mobile DJ for our wedding this past November at Casa Bella (Sunol, CA) and we can't recommend him enough! They were one of several DJ's our venue had us choose from. What stood out about David in our search were package options within our budget, being bilingual with English & Spanish, and the many reviews that spoke to his ability to read the room and keep events fun for guests of all ages. We ended up choosing the Dream package with some extras, so he provided the processional/recessional music for the ceremony, served as our DJ/MC for the reception, and provided additional lighting and the photo-booth - and we were so happy with all of it! What stood out with David vs other DJs was his webGUI and his free treats like monogram projection and GOBOs. He worked really well with our coordinator to make the day run worry-free. We had live singers as part of our ceremony and he worked hard to accommodate them. Our singers had to change tracks 3 times including at 1AM and 10AM on the day of for an afternoon ceremony. As a DJ, David is automatic with choosing the right songs to get the crowd involved. I have older Filipino aunties and uncles, and David had songs lined up for them so they can Cha Cha! I didn't even have to ask him to! Another service David offers that we got was the photo both. David's set-up is the best! I highly suggest upgrading to the "open-air" Photo Booth just so you can fit bigger groups of people in pictures. The props he offers are high quality, as in many of them are wooden and not flimsy plastic. There was one prop that was a car that was a hit and we saw many groups use it! The bonus thing about David's photo booth is that the pictures also get uploaded to a personal on-line gallery that guests can view and download to post on social media! Awesome DJ which was preferred by my wedding venue. He is great to work with and easy communication. His online planner is easy to work with. David also has an open air photo booth which we loved and was a big hit. His assistant was quick and kept all the props tidy. They even let us use our own backdrop. David was great! We hired him for our wedding Dj, uplighting and photo booth. We told him it was an American-Mexican wedding and we wanted a variety of English as well as Spanish music. His online planning tool helped us plan our timeline and add songs so he could get an idea of the type of music we like. He did a great job and kept people on the dance floor until the end of the night. I danced my little heart out to all the music we had asked him to play. We even changed it up at the last minute and had some traditional Mexican dances that we had not planned on. We booked his services about a year in advance of our wedding. About a week before our wedding, we had a phone meeting with him and went over all of the details. David DJ'd my wedding this month. It was the best day of my life and his services were a big part of it. A lot of people told me that they really liked the music. It was calmer at dinner, and then ramped up as the night went on. We didn't think people would dance at our wedding, but it turned out that people were dancing until they turned the lights on. We and our guests had so much fun! People loved the photobooth and we love looking at the pics. When were were taking pictures outside during cocktail hour, we could hear everyone laughing and having fun inside in the photobooth. The uplighting added nice ambiance to the evening and I'm glad we had it. We were on a budget, and Sound Wave was one of the less expensive DJ options. I am so glad we went with them because I think we got a wedding that looked expensive but at a lower price. David also has a lot of ideas of fun games that you can do to get the guests involved in the reception.
