I took a recommendation from the Marina I was staying at (Mangrove Marina) and found Easy Adventures. Captain Tim was quick to respond to my initial email and was very helpful and flexible. We chose a 4 hr. Charter for the 3 of us and time flew by. We spent about 70% of our time fishing and had a blast. Each of us caught fish and Captain Tim was a gracious and helpful host. He had no problem baiting our hooks, replacing our hooks and taking the fish off our hooks! I caught a shark!! He's a knowledgable guy, gave us a decently long tour of some islands and pointed out lots of interesting birds and various things. Although we wanted to snorkel, time ran out. Captain T is willing to do whatever you want and has good suggestions on where to go. He's a trustworthy and I felt very safe out on an ocean with this Veteran fisherman. What an amazing afternoon we spent with captain Tim. I called around to a number of charters looking to plan a half day of offshore fishing. The only catch is that I didn't want to pay $650 for the standard 4 hours and my partner wanted to go snorkeling. The other hiccup is that we wanted to do offshore stuff rather than navigate the backcountry. So, with options limited, I finally called the chamber of commerce and gave them my criteria. The lady recommended I try Easy Adventures. Immediately pleasant and easy-going, Tim let us know that going fishing and snorkeling offshore for 4 hours wouldn't be a problem... and he came in well under what the other guys were charging. I booked with him immediately. Then on Saturday at 9am, we met him at the marina right next to the Islamorada Fish Company. His small boat was perfect and even had a bimini top to offer some shade during the excursion. For just the 2 of us, the boat was the perfect size. The journey started by going around 2 miles offshore to do some patch fishing. Tim helped my partner get used to casting and thanks to him, we never had to touch a dead shrimp or pull our catch off the hook (fishy fingers, be gone!). Our first go at it brought in lots of grunts and a medley of other fish. The only one worth taking was the porgie. After an hour or so, we headed to the lighthouse to do some snorkeling. On a beautiful day, with crystal clear water, you could see directly to the bottom. It was so clear that it was hard to miss the ~10 ft nurse shark that cruised just beneath the boat. That was enough to keep me in the boat, but my fellow fisherwoman went in for it. After snorkeling we went back to fishing and brought in 2 hogfish to complete our dinner. With 4 hours under our belts, we glided back to the marina and called it the perfect adventure. Tim is now our go-to guy for an afternoon on the water. read more

We had a blast with Cap'n Tim. This guy is a great cap'n. He is better than Cap'n crunch, and leaves you with much less tooth decay. We did a trip with him over Christmas break this year. This was after renting a boat on our own, and running it aground in the flats surrounding Dildo Key (this is for real a place- check a map). He took us to a precise location where he knew fish would be. Its as if he had a dive team right below us attaching fish to our hooks. We caught a ton of fish. Porgies, Snappers, Jacks, and even a Shark. The shark didn't even kill us. Tim cut him loose before he had a chance to devour our party. This shark was pissed. We weren't. Upon returning to the dock, he cleaned and filleted our catch. He could have said "Do it yourself, jerks" but he didn't. He simply said- go grab a beer, and I'll get these ready for you. What a guy. Porgie are a sneaky delicious fish. Point is- Cap'n Tim is great. He knows where he is going. He doesn't wreck the boat. He doesn't run it aground on the flats. He doesn't allow sharks to kill your entire group. He has affordable prices, and the fishing was non-stop. Great time all around. read more

This was our first visit to the Keys, and we booked Captain Tim for a Tuesday morning (4-hour) fishing/snorkeling trip. He was very friendly and was very good with our kids (ages 7 and 9). We fished in two spots and caught about 8 fish. We could only keep 3 of them, based on their size and type. We are novice fishermen, to say the least, and Tim showed us how to bait our hooks and cast our lines. He will bait the hooks for you if you don't want to do it yourself. He then took us to two different places to go snorkeling. He had snorkeling gear (which we didn't need) and snorkeling vests, which are required. Overall, it was a very enjoyable morning. I wish it could have lasted longer! Captain Tim filleted the three fish we caught and wrapped them up in ice for us. (We took them to the restaurant at the marina where his boat is docked and they cooked them for us. Freshest fish I've ever eaten!) read more

Captain Tim is an incredibly nice person that will make sure your fishing and snorkel experience exceeds your expectations. We went as a group of four and we were catching so much fish that we could not put on our bait fast enough. Our trip ended with seeing the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen. Tim was so accommodating and helpful. We wanted to go snorkeling, but he wasn't sure the water at the reef would be clear that day. We also had one kid prone to seasickness who had never snorkeled before. He was very patient and let him wade in and get comfortable, and never took us where the water was too choppy. I have been on chartered boats before but Capt. Tim was awesome! We wanted to charter a boat trip so everyone in our party would have a good time despite the different age ranges (4y/o-50+y/o) and he did not disspoint! My son (and actually everyone in my group) loved exploring the sandbar. The water was too choppy to do snorkelling on the Atlantic side and Capt. Tim was definitely mindful of our comfort and instead took us fishin in the mangroves. We had so much fun! Our friends opted to go snorkelling with one of those snorkelling boats with tons of people the same day and they were so sea sick because of the conditions that they could barely enjoy dinner later on that night when we met up again. My group on the other hand did not get sea sick at all (and I'm really notorious for this!) and I really think it was largely due to Capt. Tim's forethought. This is a great veteran owned company. Tim, the captain, was: friendly, intelligent, humorous, and great with family. He was a great teacher and a very hard worker. Every fishing hole he took us to was great, my family and I were constantly getting snags and catching fish. Tim never stopped taking our fish, measuring them, teaching us what they were and if we could keep them, what was the best techniques, and every opportunity he had he baited our hooks. He must have loaded 100 hooks for my family alone. He took us to great snorkeling places and showed us the best spots to go too around the lighthouse and coral heads. He was very knowledgeable of what fish to look for and what we needed to stay away from. Lastly he took us to a great spot for sunset. When we got back to the docks he filtered our fish for us and was very helpful about choosing a great dinner spot to cook our fish for us. I whole heartedly recommend this company to anyone and everyone. I recommend the 8hr trip at the least. This was our fourth trip to the Keys, and we decided to book Captain Tim for a Tuesday morning (4-hour) fishing/snorkeling trip. We have booked at our hotel before, but wanted to try something new. Tim was great, despite my hesitation that morning due to weather. Safety is his number 1 priority, and it turns out not having the perfect sunny day was better for us for catching fish. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. When we returned to the marina, Tim filleted our fish and we took them to a local joint to be cooked. Honestly, the freshest fish we've ever had!!! My boyfriend and I did a sunset cruise with Captain Tim during our trip to Islamorada. He was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Right away we felt like he was an old friend! He also personalized our tour based on some specific sights/areas we wanted to see. (i.e. Bloodline filming locations). He is very knowledgeable of the water, the ecosystem and had great stories. He even knew a spot in a canal where there was a good chance we would see a crocodile sunning and sure enough he was there! We had an amazing trip with Captain Tim on the Fulphiled this past Memorial Day weekend. If you are looking to make the most of your vacation and willing to splurge, book this charter and you will not be disappointed. The boat and service were 5 stars. Denise and Captain Tim really went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. The air conditioned cabin, sundeck and lounge seating made being on the boat just as fun as being in the water. Captain Tim took us to some great snorkeling spots that spared us from the crowds. We've been snorkeling in the keys numerous times, but this was the best by far. We spotted numerous eagle rays, a turtle, huge brain corals and sponges and numerous reef fish. After working up an appetite we enjoyed a bbq dinner on the boat and watched the sunset on the ride back with champagne (we brought the champagne). It was a very romantic end to a perfect day. We will definitely book again and want to thank Captain Tim for making it such a memorable day. read more
