This is a wonderful RV Park and our stay here couldn't have been any better, as any RVer knows it all starts with the owner and staff and from the moment we booked our site until the moment we broke camp they made our stay a great experience and definitely one worth repeating. We've been coming to the Keys over the Thanksgiving Holiday for a number of years and until now have stayed a little north of Grassy Key or in Key West but decided to stay and explore the middle keys this year so we could enjoy more of the Florida Keys with less daily travel. We arrived prior to the requested time and check in was so easy, the staff escorted us to our site and ensured everything was perfect before leaving us to finishing setting up camp. The park was only about half filled upon our arrival and as campers left and others arrived it never got crowded and remained about half filled throughout out stay - this made for a very peaceful stay and very private we stayed at site 10 and had no neighbors until the afternoon before we left. The grounds here are very well maintained, beautifully landscaped with very good utilities, we had no issues - the view of the Gulf through the front window of our RV was stunning, as were the views from the park like setting along the sea wall. If your traveling here from the north its the first driveway on the right prior to their sign making it an easy entrance while they try and maintain a one way loop in and out. We were fortunate to attend the potluck Thanksgiving dinner hosted in the clubhouse, they provided fried and roasted turkeys and some side dishes and everyone brought a dish as well it was a wonderful and thoughtful gathering I highly recommend participating if your visiting during the holidays. This is definitely an experience we hope to repeat in the coming years, this is such a beautiful RV Park with a well thought out layout that doesn't put everyone on top of each other making for a wonderful experience for everyone... read more

We stayed there and after checking out they claimed their outdated old tv was broken. The tv was in the living room, we never even used it. Well, they charged us almost $200 and would not send us pictures of the "broken" Tv. Crooks read more

This RV park feels like family. It's small enough that everyone gets to know one another. Many of the sites are filled with people who have been coming every year for a very long time. They come back because they found something so special. Yes, there are strictly enforced rules. But in the long run, it keeps the park, safe and peaceful for all of us. It is a great privilege to stay here. read more

We were parked in between two long term campers which reduced our views. The park was practically empty but we were squeezed between two other motorhomes. I did not find staff or managers to be friendly. Although most sites were empty when I inquired about a waterfront site they would only quote me $50 a night extra charge. I will look for a different place to stay next year. read more

Nice quiet place to stay. The staff were very professional and helpful. There was a wildfire north of us and the roads leading out were closed. The staff explained how the state officials usually handle the road closures. But offered to extend our stay if necessary. We took their advice and made it back on to the mainland with only a short wait and detour. Thank you for the great vacation , we are looking forward to staying again. read more

How anyone can rate this wonderful gem less than five stars is questionable to me. The place is beautiful, private, well-kept, well cleaned, right on the Bay -come out of your RV, wake up to a gorgeous view ..soak in the sunshine on your own beach, corn hole, beach games heated pool laundry room friendly staff (including the old man and the awesome guy who helped us park and the ladies and gentlemen constantly cleaning and maintaining the grounds) It has 2 small small areas for the dogs to go potty, yes the roads are gravel, but my low riser doxies had no issues. I'm not sure what else you need in paradise! Oh, you have a boat, well they have their own private dock, for a small fee park your boat overnight, and enjoy the wonderful state, this is Florida. The location on Marathon is perfect, center of the keys, 20 to 30 minutes to Islamorada, 1 to 1 1/2 hours to Key West. Many things to do on the island of marathon. Just don't take my RV spot ;) read more

We stayed here for a few days. It's a decent RV park that is right on the water, but no swim able beach. The park was pretty full, but it was really quiet. They called a few days prior to confirm our trip. While we were on the way, they called again to see where we were at because they require you to be there before 4:30 to be checked in--traffic on US-1 isn't always favorable. Overall, it was a very good spot. The only reason it's not a four star: the old man in the office is flat rude. I understand he may own the place--but let's have some grace & respect. read more

This is a charming RV resort offering lovely surroundings and amenities that make for plenty of outdoor R'n'R opportunities. We loved pulling into our waterfront site and finding two comfy lounge chairs already in place and just begging to be kicked back in. The dock area is a focal point for chilling out and watching the ocean world go by, especially if you take advantage of the resort's Adirondack chair deck. Grassy Key may be a small, intimate resort, but that's part of what we enjoy about it. The place is peaceful and the perfect spot to be on Florida Keys' time. There's a bit of road noise during the day, but choose a waterfront site and you'll rarely notice it. Regarding the "before 5:00 PM" check-in requirement: it's a fair policy and the office staff goes out of their way to be clear about this on the front end. If this is a time frame to which you don't want to be held, then simply book elsewhere. But, just know you'll miss out on a sweet little slice of Keys' RV paradise if you do! ;) read more

Never again! We couldn't make the checkin time of 5pm so the manager insisted we park at the entrance with no hook ups yet still pay the $100 for the night. He said this was because everyone had to be escorted to their site, and he obviously quits work at 4:59 daily. When I got there and realized there were only 40 spots I was furious! By their policy I wasn't trustworthy to count to ten to find spot ten - but I just drove across the United States - using a map! Despite three Masters Degrees and one PhD in the RV we weren't trusted to find spot ten....out of 40 spots. Rae Charles could have found spot ten, but alas we found that to be irrelevant. The sites were tight but manageable. There was a cable problem- we didn't have cable because our line was taken from our RV and given to the guy next to us because his cable outlet didn't work. He arrived after us which confused me- the manager unplugged our RV from the cable while we were at the beach, to give it to the person next to us. There was no explanation for this... You can't swim from this park. We stayed here October 2014 for ten days, and have since found much better places to stay. Check my other reviews, I'll NEVER come back to this place. Don't be fooled by the Lower Price You might want to stay...If you only like to Sit inside your RV. There is a Tiny pool, no other Recreation. No public Bathroom or Shower (Which we already knew) BUT, IF you have any Watercraft, you will be charged to leave it in the Water or have it On Site. You are not allowed to keep it on your RV site at all. Storage$$$$ The Management is more Concerned with Being Right, than making your Stay Right. Rules, $$$$, No reasoning. Zero Customer Satisfaciton. We have travelled 6000 miles to be here and now we are imprisoned to stay, since there is a No refund Policy. Going to be a GREAT Christmas 2018. Stayed during 2018 Thanksgiving. Not inexpensive but worth it. The host are extremely friendly. the little harbor is a great place to see the sunset or sit in the Adirondack chairs and watch the water. No complaints at all. The only reason for the four stars is its all on gravel and our little dog had trouble walking on it (she talked me into backing off one star). read more

We stay in this area every year for about 10 days in August. We were looking to book here for next year (2019), so we stopped in and drove around in our rental car- only there for about 2 minutes and staying completely out of the of everyone's way. As we go to head out, a man in a golf cart comes up and tells us "If you don't get your a** off my property immediately I'm calling the cops". We were so taken back we thought he was kidding! We were simply looking for 2 minutes to see if it would be a good fit. After a few more very rude sentences, my wife apologized politely and said "I'm sorry sir we made a mistake" - he then said, "You're damn right you did, now get the hell off my property or I'll call them (the cops) right now." If he would've asked what we were doing we would've gladly informed him, or even had he kindly asked that we don't stop by unexpected we would've understood, but this was uncalled for and awfully disrespectful. I believe this is the man talked about in other reviews, so if he is the one always around the grounds I wouldn't want me or my family staying here. read more

We stayed here in July 2014. Nice park, while small, about 40 sites, the view of the Gulf was great. You can't beat the sunsets. Opt for one of the water front sites, you won't be sorry. Its's on our "return to" list. read more

I'm with Robert about that check-in. We made it on time but if we haven't I would have raised holy hell. It's not 40 but more like 27 including those two with just electric if you arrive late. Since it's so small your temporary may be across from your permanent site. It's insane. They have a worker staying on site who rides around all day but you have carry your trash to the dumpster. We had to take don't our canopy (allowed per their handout) not mentioned when they take your money but after the fact. Does have a beautiful view. No real doggy area just a patch of grass behind dumpster off the main road. We won't be back. read more
