We stayed in the aqua lodge #12 and had a wonderful time. Not a great place for kids, as we have a 2 year old and 5 year old. They loved the aqua lodge and had a great time but there isn't much for them to do. The pool is small and laundry is $6 per load (washer and dryer). There is one parking spot per unit. They have free bike rentals, kayaks, and great sunset view. There is also a picnic area with grills. It's right by the private airport so if you are a light sleeper, this might not be a great place to stay. We would definitely recommend and will be back! It's clean, quaint, and an overall fun experience.

Absolutely loved this airbnb which is also marina. Tons of amenities on the premise including a secluded sunset beach, kayaks, paddle-boards, biking, and a cozy pool. The houseboat was super cute, clean, and well decorated. I can't wait to visit again as my only regret is not having enough time to enjoy all of the amenities! Note that there is only 1 designated parking spot and will be charged for overflow parking if there is more than 1 vehicle and if they even have anything available. All of the staff were accommodating and very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed this place. Such a treat!!

Love this place! Reasonable, clean, on the water, spacious, free parking and WiFi, heated pool, private beach with spectacular views, designated parking space, dog, friendly, very comfortable beds, and reasonably priced. Can't say enough good things about this place. Would not stay anywhere else in Marathon only here.

Booked a "beach view" site, paid extra for it only to find out this place is surrounded by a thick wall of tall mangroves and you see very little of the beach. Would recommend *NOT* paying extra for this! I saw a small sliver of the water only after the campers in spot 24 and 25 left. Felt that we were scammed big time on the "beach view" up-charge. This would be a "mangrove view" and nobody should ever be scammed into paying extra for this. This point right here is the main reason why this place gets a "3" from us. Campground is gravel, all of it. Wooden picnic table at each site. One heavy barrel with a wooden top at each site. We were told it was to be used as an extra table The WiFi is unreliable at best - don't come down here and rely on this to actually work. It may depend entirely on your proximity to the office. We were in spot 23 toward the beach. Streaming TV worked about one third of the time or less. We are not people that stay in the camper all day - but at night when we came back and tried to watch TV we constantly had errors due to poor WiFi signal. Same message on our mobile phones. The cable connection provided a fuzzy TV picture so we gave up and just did not use that. The laundromat could really use some simple signage on the process of how to operate the washers & dryers (you must first get a special card in the office only available during business hours then pay them cash to load it up with the needed credit). There is a pool. There's a marina. Small beach at the end of the peninsula is nice and has wooden loungers, benches and Adirondack chairs. This is a gravel campground with a view of tall mangroves. Campers are not as tightly packed in like they are at most other RV parks but they can get pretty close to one another depending on how they are parked. The location in Marathon is good for exploring all the Keys. Lots of great restaurants nearby. Office staff helpful/nice. Staff on golf carts also friendly. If we return it would be for a non beach view site. The pictures I took were from when I walked down to the beach area.

Great place to stay. We did an AIrBnB with an airstream and it was great. Fun pool and you can't beat the sunset view.

    A perfect evening

This place is a gem. It's clean, quiet, uncrowded and thoughtfully furnished. The sunset beach was a peaceful little slice of heaven. We stayed for a week with our two kids and would absolutely camp here again.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This rating is not because of the facilities or the campground…read moreitself--it is entirely because of the way this situation was handled and the way my family was treated by the management. After nearly four years of visiting Jolly Roger RV Resort in Marathon and spending much of our summers there, I never imagined our experience would end this way. We truly loved this place. Our daughters grew up coming here, made great friends, and created wonderful memories. That is exactly why the way we were treated by the management was so disappointing. After the incident, our conversation regarding our permanent removal from the resort was handled directly by the park manager, Angie. Unfortunately, that conversation left us feeling unheard, unfairly judged, and with the impression that no consideration was given to our years as respectful, responsible guests. During the Fourth of July weekend, when the campground was extremely busy, several children were playing at the dock. As they had done during previous summers, some of them were jumping from the boat ramp into the water. I was the only parent present supervising the children who were with me. An employee came by and asked for the lot numbers of the families there. I was the only person who honestly and responsibly provided our lot number. The following day, I received a phone call from the park manager informing us that we had been permanently banned from the RV park. What hurt the most was not the decision itself, but the way the entire situation was handled. We were never given a meaningful opportunity to explain our side of the story, nor did anyone consider that, throughout all the years we had been coming here, we had never had a single complaint or incident. In addition, we were held responsible for situations that did not involve our family and that, from our perspective, were simply not true. It felt as though decisions were made based on assumptions rather than a fair evaluation of the facts or our long history as respectful guests. I was also surprised that there were no clear signs stating that children were not allowed to jump from that area. The posted signs referred to swimming at your own risk and under adult supervision, so we had no reason to believe that this behavior would result in a permanent ban. The saddest part was feeling as though we were treated like troublemakers or criminals when we have always been a respectful, responsible family that has taken care of both our children and the property. I can only speak about our own experience, but it ended with tremendous disappointment. More than the decision itself, it was the lack of empathy, respect, and willingness to listen that caused us to completely lose confidence in the management. We left heartbroken, especially for our daughters, who loved this place and were looking forward to spending the rest of the summer there. It is unfortunate that so many years of wonderful memories ended because of a situation that, in our opinion, could have been handled with communication, fairness, and basic respect. I sincerely hope the management reflects on how they treat families and handle situations like this. A great RV park is defined not only by its facilities, but also by the fairness, professionalism, and humanity with which it treats its guests.

We've been coming to the Keys over the Thanksgiving Holiday for a number of years and until now have stayed a little north of Grassy Key or in Key West but decided to stay and explore the middle keys this year so we could enjoy more of the Florida Keys with less daily travel. We arrived prior to the requested time and check in was so easy, the staff escorted us to our site and ensured everything was perfect before leaving us to finishing setting up camp. The park was only about half filled upon our arrival and as campers left and others arrived it never got crowded and remained about half filled throughout out stay - this made for a very peaceful stay and very private we stayed at site 10 and had no neighbors until the afternoon before we left. The grounds here are very well maintained, beautifully landscaped with very good utilities, we had no issues - the view of the Gulf through the front window of our RV was stunning, as were the views from the park like setting along the sea wall. If your traveling here from the north its the first driveway on the right prior to their sign making it an easy entrance while they try and maintain a one way loop in and out. We were fortunate to attend the potluck Thanksgiving dinner hosted in the clubhouse, they provided fried and roasted turkeys and some side dishes and everyone brought a dish as well it was a wonderful and thoughtful gathering I highly recommend participating if your visiting during the holidays. This is definitely an experience we hope to repeat in the coming years, this is such a beautiful RV Park with a well thought out layout that doesn't put everyone on top of each other making for a wonderful experience for everyone...

We were escorted to our site, and literally were parked steps from the water. We enjoyed hanging out in the water immediately, and also loved all the wildlife present everywhere on the campground, including an iguana who liked to bask in the tree right next to our RV, numerous pelicans and herons (or egrets? I never know the difference), schools of thousands of little fish, and more. I loved swimming in the area off the swimming dock. The water was cool and refreshing in the heat. Every day, I marveled at the beauty of this place. The clouds and sky looked like cotton candy at dusk. Sunsets were magical. Bahia Honda State Park is only 5 minutes away. I almost didn't go, because this campground was so nice, but fortunately, we went, and of course, that was breathtaking as well. We have starlink so I didn't have internet issues, and we didn't use the marina services, so can't speak to that.

Location - This hotel is located right in the middle of Marathon in the Florida Keys. Marathon is a fairly large city when looking at the keys and this hotel is right in the middle of everything this island has to offer. You are close to many different restaurants, a Publix, famous 7-Mile Bridge and the one of the best beaches in the Keys, Sombrero Beach. Rooms & Building - Rooms are all suites and spacious. They reminded me of what you would find normally at an Embassy Suites. The style and theme was modern, nautical which fit the surrounding area. The room had a fridge and microwave and a small living area. The bathroom had a spacious rainfall shower and large vanity with plenty of room to spare. Amenities - The hotel has two outdoor pools onsite. The pools are heated and stayed comfortable throughout our stay. The site also offers a small butterfly garden, green space with firepits and hammocks, and beautiful marina views (and sunsets). The property grounds are well maintained and beautiful. Food - Breakfast is not included in your stay but there is a restaurant and coffee shop onsite. The coffee shop serves Cuban-style coffee which was unique and very good. The breakfast sandwiches at the coffee shop were also pretty good. We didn't eat at the restaurant but the food menu looked interesting. Vibe - Easy going staff and customers. No complaints. Reality vs. Online - Pictures that I saw on their website and online matched the quality and condition of the hotel and rooms in-person. No surprises. Price & Final Verdict - If you are looking for a luxurious stay while in the Florida Keys, Faro Blanco offers a good mix of luxury and hotel-styled amenities. One neat perk - if you are a Diamond member, you can use the amenities at their sister resort next door (infinity pool, hot tub, and man-made beach). Prices tend to fall into the $300's+ for a night, so this place might not be in everyone's price range or interest.
