But I felt that the staff was always kind, friendly, and understanding. Volunteers who came to clean the common areas were pleasant and polite. Other patrons were also kind and respectful. I enjoyed my stay here even if other things outside of these doors were stressful. Thank you for your help and support.

To me that's a lot of money, I'm only 19 and not working due to my newborn being at the hospital and my job was in Tracy I lost my job due to him being at the hospital. They didn't have no hot water or heater and they didn't fix it until 2 weeks later. They didn't charge us for 2 weeks since there wasn't not heat or hot water. They fixed everybody heaters and hot water, but ours. Our hot water was working but not the heater and it's raining so much and it's so cold in there, they asked for money and we told them why do we have to pay if the heater doesn't work and to go check it out for themselves it's like a ac in there and they said ok and then they called the cops on us when they said they were gonna send somebody to look at the heater and then the front office said oh everybody heaters work I need money now and we paid them and then 2 minutes later they came to the door with the police again and said here take ur money back the staff doesn't want u guys here too many complaints but we've never interacted with the staff or anybody , most of the time we be at the hospital with our son. The building is very secure, which was incredible, and the view out of our windows was all greenery from the mature trees outside. Our room was renovated but kept the vintage embiance of this historical mansion. Enjoying a glass of wine in the parlor after a long day was a very nice addition to the stay. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area.

We stayed in the Happiness Loft, which was cute and unique. The pictures do note that it's not ideal for tall guests, and that's true -- the ceilings are quite low, but it worked fine for us. The highlight of our stay was definitely the spa. I had one of the best massages of my life, and the couples massage experience was wonderful. That said, it was on the pricey side, as was the room rate, though the charm of the property sets it apart from many other Sacramento options we looked at. Breakfast was good, but at $30 per person, it didn't feel like the best value compared to other places we've stayed. The biggest downside for us was the location -- while the hotel itself is lovely, the surrounding neighborhood didn't feel like a place where we could walk around and explore, so we found ourselves driving elsewhere for dinner and activities. Parking was also limited. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and are glad we experienced it. The service, cleanliness, and spa treatments are excellent, but for the price point, I'd likely explore other options next time. For us, this felt like a solid three-star experience.

This is my first Yelp review, though I'm very familiar with the review process. I felt compelled to…read moretake a moment to express my appreciation for Ed, the manager at Sacramento Guest Services, as well as the wonderful cleaning lady--I believe her name is Norma. I noticed some negative reviews from people who clearly don't understand what this accommodation offers. As a frequent traveler, both domestically and internationally, I pass through Sacramento monthly and always stay here--unless they're fully booked (which, understandably, happens often). When that's the case, I'm forced to settle for a hotel, and let me tell you--nothing compares to Sacramento Guest Services. These are fully furnished apartments, not just a basic hotel room. Here's what you get: A full-size kitchen with a microwave, cooktop, dishwasher, and dining area that's always fully set Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a washer & dryer (with detergent, bleach, and dryer sheets provided--free of charge!) A friendly and accommodating cleaning service Amenities galore, including free Wi-Fi, a phone with no extra charges, and a fully stocked linen closet with extra towels and sheets Competitive pricing--it's actually cheaper than the nearest comparable option, Extended Stay America, which only offers a small studio-style room at a higher nightly rate If you're looking for a place to party, this isn't it. It's a quiet, comfortable, and well-managed accommodation. That said, if you respect the fact that people live here permanently, there's a balance--you can have guests over without issue. And if you really want to go out, downtown Sacramento is just a $7 Uber ride away, where nightlife is abundant. As someone who has stayed in everything from budget motels to five-star hotels across the South Pacific, Dubai, Japan, and Thailand, I can confidently say that Sacramento Guest Services remains one of my most convenient and comfortable choices. It's truly my home away from home. I've been staying here at least once a month for nearly two years and have never once had an issue--not a credit card dispute, not a noise complaint, nothing. The management is fair, professional, and committed to providing a great experience. For those reading negative reviews, trust someone who knows this place well. I don't personally know Ed or anyone who works here beyond casual greetings, so this is an unbiased review from a loyal customer. Five stars, without question. If anything, I almost regret leaving this review because Sacramento Guest Services feels like one of Sacramento's best-kept secrets.

I needed a place for my two kids, hubby and I to stay for a week. I was not looking forward to a hotel because it was pricey and we'd be sharing a room...taking on food expenses, etc. THEN, I discovered an apartment complex that I used to live that had short-term rentals. This place is great. It's a gated, upscale apartment community two exits from downtown Sacramento. Our unit (#106) was a ground level two bedroom, two bath, and offered our family access to the beautiful pool, feeding the ducks in the "fake lakes" and access to their gym. (We never made it intot the gym, but we LOVED the pool and hot tubs!) It's a true apartment with Granite countertops throughout, a full, stacked washer and dryer, living room with fireplace, two flat screen tvs (one in the LR, one in the master br, both w/ cable) and great closet space. There's a private patio as well. The unit is carpeted in an industrial carpet. The bathrooms in basic linoleum. CH&A and free WiFiworked great. The kitchen was a standard apartment kitchen with a full-size fridge, full-size oven, built-in microwave, coffee maker, rice maker, plus all requisite utensils, plates, cups, and mugs. During the week we had a daily maid that vacuumed, did dishes and made beds. IMPRESSIVE! The development is very quiet. You're assigned a gate pass and parking spot. I got a $99/night rate. I thought it was too good to be true and checked it out in person. We LOVED it and will recommend it to family and friends visiting Sacramento. Our only recommendations to owners are to: ) add a few extra sets of dishes and utensils. For a family of four we really ran through items. 2) We never figured out how to use the gate. Fortunately we squeaked in behind other residents. 3) The sheets are rather threadbare. They could stand to upgrade to make the experience entirely perfect. 4) Patio furniture would make this over the top! This would be a great short-term spot for folks relocating too!

The server told us they operate out of a food truck. So the menu is limited. But what they make is really good! We ordered the lemonade, chicken and waffles, huevos rancheros divorciados, and the strawberry champagne sherbet. Service was very prompt! The actual menu in-person had a couple items that aren't on the sample menu including a couple more dessert options like fig ice cream. We really liked everything we tried! The portions were pretty good. If coming here for food I'd recommend getting here early since food trucks have limited capacity. You're welcome to stroll around the property both the flower farm and the inn side before or after your meal. The parking situation is a gravel lot. So it may not be the most handicap accessible place. We had a lot of fun stopping by Park Winters. They were setting up for a wedding so the inn side would have been closed for the event starting at 1pm. The check also came with a small map of the property for you to keep. This was very helpful in exploring the property. The only caveat is this is the countryside. Wear long pants or be prepared with insect repellent! Even at 10am in the summer my legs were bitten by mosquitoes. (Type O blood. Mosquito magnet here.) I'd like if they burned some citronella candles to help with mosquitoes. The rest of the dining venue was so thoughtfully designed including timed misters (like at theme parks) to help keep the area cool. Definitely check it out if you're curious or in the area.

They comped the meal, and we didn't ask for it; we only wanted to split the check, which was a policy that was never discussed, but their system could do it. So they decided to comp the check, given the many issues. Then the manager calls me after we leave, leaves a message, and says, very passively aggressive, "We comped your meal, but you did not leave the server a tip." Servers live off tips. But don't worry, we took care of her tip. Have a good day." Umm, excuse me? I was a server for over 7 years. First of all, I wouldn't expect a tip after the establishment that failed me by not ensuring they had adequate kitchen supplies to keep a Mother's Day up and running. Additionally, I would have added more staff to the day, which would of course be very busy. And lastly, how are we tipped when you comped the bill and walked away, and nobody had cash? We did not ask for the bill to be comped. So for future reference, dear John I don't recommend calling your customers and bullying them over voicemail. You're the problem, not us.

It was a small room but worked for me. It was clean and the bed was comfy. I was fortunate in that the temperature that night was 57 degrees and 88 degrees during the day. I was told that in previous days, the temperature during the day reached 107! The room did have a little fan. The shared bathroom and showers were clean. I met a few foreign visitors in the kitchen. One young female was working on her computer in one of the common rooms. Other than seeing 2-3 other guests, I pretty much had the whole place to myself. It was really neat wandering around to look at all the stuff in the place. At 10 pm., everything gets quiet. Even the music from the nearby festival went quiet. I walked about 8 minutes to a Thai restaurant, called Hiso, which had great food. There are homeless people in the vicinity. I felt safe as the walk took me past some really expensive homes. Lots of people were out walking their dogs. Just be aware of your surroundings. I decided to walk across the street from a spot where some homeless person had set up a tent. I also watched out for people on scooters and bicycles. Parking is available within a gated enclosure by the alley and next to the hostel. That greatly gave me some peace of mind. The young man at the front desk was helpful and professional. Two items of note: 1) you need to remove the bedsheets and pillow cases and deposit them into the baskets by the front desk. Not a big deal to do. 2) you do need to climb stairs to the 2nd and 3rd floors. Not a hassle unless you are older and/or have mobility issues. Or if you have heavy luggage to haul up. Overall, it was a good experience. I would definitely come stay here again. I'm glad I tried this hostel out. Oh, when I read up on the building, I found out that it was a funeral home at one time. I didn't get any creepy vibes. I zonked out and had a good night's rest.
