I inherited the family home when my parents passed away. I'm elderly, and disabled. My previous property management company put tenants in who trashed the place, and they did nothing to fix the house up so I could get good tenants in. So I called up Carmazzi, and he said he wasn't interested in helping me. He said he "wasn't interested in a project" like mine. Just too much work. He said if I arranged all the work myself, and had it in perfect condition, he might consider doing the easy work and collect hundreds of dollars a month to "manage" it. He offered no names of contractors that could help me get it ready. I asked him if this happened again but under his management, and he said it would never happen. Really? Give me a break. The property manager told me that I needed to apply, pay the application fee, and then I could see the property. This kind of practice should not be permitted. I am a renter and I was very interested in one of their properties, I called and SET UP the first showing around Dominic's schedule. i asked if I could obtain an application, he told me I had to see the house first. which is fine by me- I prefer that. I was 15 minutes early to the property with all I needed to apply in hand minus the application. I looked around, wanted to apply and I went to talk to him on my way out to hopefully get an application and fill it out right there. But instead this young women walked in the door- about same age as me and I believe she said something like " Hi I am so and so's daughter- did you get my application?". He told her he had but he had not looked over to see if it was completed. Then he told me that if I wanted to apply I would secure a 2nd place in line. At that point I was upset that I set up the viewing, I took time off work, I was proactive, I was frist in the house but this other women got it because of connections. Yea- i dont want to do business with that kind of person. I didn't want to even apply because of that but my husband wanted the house so the delay caused us to be 3rd in line for the house which the first applicant got- I mean why wouldn't she? her connections got her to steal the 1st spot from me. Anyways. A positive was that they refunded my app fee. I n response to the agents response- I know for a fact I heard her mention a connection, and I don't appreciate being called a liar. He tried to cut the person off and quiet her in a nice way so I wouldn't hear. I don't believe you were the agent who showed the house. I most certainly did not reject the application- i was scrambling for a house and really liked this one. And when I called that great if he had x amount of inquiries- i was concerned about applications in. I pretty much set up the viewing I asked for an app and he told me I had to view the house first. I contacted the phone number listed for this business. The phone rang and rang and when the call finally connected, there was silence. I could hear someone in the background, but no one answering the phone and asking how they could help me or stating their name. I had to say hello multiple times, followed by someone finally saying "hello?" in an irritated tone. Then I had to introduce myself and explain why I was calling. The person had this initial reaction that implied that I was disturbing them and that I was an inconvenience at that moment. Finally the person said his name was Matt. First impression: horrible customer service. If he treats a random caller as if they inconvenienced him, I certainly have reservations about doing business with him. Already not sure that I want to do business with this guy, I explain that our home has gone on the market for sale today but I've changed my mind and I'd rather rent my home out instead of selling it. I asked if he could come to the property, take a look, tell us what price we could rent our home for, and see if we could do business. I did mention that my wife wasn't too keen on renting, so I wanted to hear what a property management company could so for us. He immediately tells me that this relationship likely will not work out because, in his opinion, he wants a long term customer and someone who puts their home up for sale is not a long term customer. He didn't really understand why we were trying to sell in the first place: I'm moving to the east coast for work and I don't know what to do with my home: sell it or rent it. We had first decided to sell because it was easier. However we aren't comfortable with the price that our home is being listed for; thus we are exploring renting the home out. If renting makes more sense and a property manager can take care of it for us indefinitely, that's what we'd do. So Matt thought I wasn't a long term customer simply because the home was being listed on the market to sell. Too bad his opinion is wrong. If he's not willing to work for my business, I'll gladly give it to someone else. I feel like I dodged a bullet with this guy: horrible customer service; horrible first impression. read more

We are out of town owners, so we rely on his expertise and staying on top of the situation regarding our tenants at all times. He never misses a beat!
