I I ride long distances on this bike and my hands get numb after a while and so wanted to add these aero-bars. The bars I bought last year from United Cycle wouldn't stay on though since the handle bar is not a uniform width. Abdula explored multiple options including new handlebars and ultimately discovered that there were ways to reconfigure the ones I had to make them work. He spent many hours messing around and researching options. In the end he figured it out and charged me only for the time to install them (as well as a gear fix that needed doing). Amazing service. Thank you.

Wait times are weeks, so you need to book early. The place feels more upscale and they likely are paying higher rent. A basic bicycle tune up is now $150. And it doesn't include the wheels. A nearby bike shop is only $100. And they quoted replacement sprockets and chain would get me over $400 dollars. So this place seems expensive in my view. For that price I could just buy a new bike. Hippy types at the front counter in hoodies, wish they had clear identifiable work attire. Selection of bikes and accessories is good so I would go there for that but I would seek bike service elsewhere.

I don't really know what to make of this place…read more I went in here and I really wanted to buy some new powder skis but I was completely ignored. It's not like I was I browsing, doing my own thing. I was at these skis, trying to get someone's attention so that I could buy them. That's usually what stores want, isn't it? When I FINALLY got someone to help me, they made it clear that they weren't happy about it. In fact, they were so blatantly annoyed that they had to help me that I didn't even end up buying the skis. And I really wanted them! The only reason I'm not giving this place the lowest rating possible is because they do have great stock. They have a great selection. Unfortunately, their customer service is too bad for me to ever consider going back.

I purchased my son's first snowboard from this store and thought they were terrific. The gentleman…read morewho helped me was very friendly and took time to help me make an informed decision on what to purchase for my son. Naturally, I went to this same store two years later when my son wanted a new set up for his birthday present. The service was great (the associate indicated he actually owned the bike store upstairs) - again, he was friendly and was very patient with a mother who has no idea what she was buying. He helped me pick out new boots, bindings and board. So, why the poor review? Because less than a month later, my son's left boot was falling apart. He had used them 3 times (for about 2-3 hours each time) and he weighs a total of 60 pounds. The first associate told me that he didn't think the warranty would cover that because it was normal wear and tear. I asked to speak to the manager and it was the owner who came to talk to me. He insisted that it was deliberate damage and that they would not cover it. I showed him the receipt as I couldn't believe that their equipment wasn't even covered for 30 days. The owner was so rude about the whole thing and told my 10 year old son it was his fault the boots were falling apart (my son was devastated to be treated like he was some reckless & negligent hooligan). Even other people in the store couldn't believe that he was being so rude about it and agreed that it should at least last 30 days. And so, I will never return to this store again because they don't reasonably stand behind their equipment. I understand that you have to draw the line somewhere, but less than 30 days?? I have never been subjected to such rudeness at a store before and I will not support a store who is owned by someone who's attitude seems to be that they are doing ME a favour by owning a store. It's too bad really - the staff were all very nice and helpful and maybe the owner should take some lessons.

There was a disagreement between myself and my son regarding which board I was willing to put money out for, and the salesperson was obviously uncomfortable but politely indicated that he would be in another area while we fought it out. Once we moved onto the helmet section, he popped back over to see if we needed any help. I felt the service was pretty good, definitely friendly and the prices were slightly below the other over priced snowboard shops in town. I appreciated that it was brightly lit and a lot of space (I hate dark cramped stores!) I will definitely be checking them out next time we need to purchase more snowboarding equipment as they have it all. I was quickly looking at their jackets (I'm a mom who doesn't snowboard, so if they have a different name, you know what I mean) and they seemed reasonably priced compared to other snowboard companies.
