First full meal from Eat at Joe's food truck and it did NOT disappoint. The volcano roll was phenomenal. The sauces on top get the taste buds going! The chicken and steak hibachi-- delicious! Eat at Joe's in Stoughton has become a new favorite spot for my husband & son who love sushi and all kinds of seafood dishes. My other son & I came with to try it and it's so tasty! Place is very clean! The service is great, it's family owned and ran. This place is definitely worth checking out! You can get sushi rolls for under $10 and specialty for around $13-15! Plus they have a hibachi grill for those that want the entire experience! Great selection of dishes and vegetarian options! read more

I tried the chicken hibachi at an event with their food truck. The food truck menu offered different hibachis or sushi rolls. It had good flavor and the portion size was large. Luckily, it can make for great leftovers! While I've never been to the restaurant, I'm curious to go! The full restaurant menu offers a variety of sushi rolls, teriyaki specials, and noodle dishes too. Consider trying the food truck or visiting the restaurant for a hibachi experience. read more

BEWARE!! This restaurant was just awful. It was recommended by family and unfortunately everything couldn't have been any worse. The sushi was terrible and the fish was super fishy and spoiled. What is worse... the vegetables, yes VEGETABLES in all five of our hibachi meals smelled and tasted like spoiled fish. The soup containers were melted and the bag was full of soup. We are praying we won't get deathly ill after eating spoiled food. Avoid at all costs! read more

Upon initial opening I wasn't impressed, but gave them another shot. They quickly became a family favorite with the best waitress!! They closed for remodeling and we've been back twice. Both times the food was not very good - hibachi had to be sent back because it was cold (owner apologized, said waitress let it sit too long; we were the only table!). Waitress asked us if we were ready to order, we asked what the ramen special was and waitress literally said it was broth and chicken or pork, then walked away. As she walked away another party of 4 came in.... She proceeded to take their order before ours. We were seated first, first table of the night. When she finally returned to take our two person order, she started to walk away and had to be stopped to take the other persons order. Sushi was smaller and a deep fried roll we each had, one was burned. Very disappointed, as they were really good prior to the remodel and new staff. Seating was available immediately. Appetizers of spring roll and crab cheese were very fresh and excellent! Food was terrific. I had shrimp and my wife had filet mignon hibachi meals. Highly recommend. The service was quick and efficient as well. Great place to eat. read more

We have been trying to hunt down this food truck for weeks and finally got to try it! The price point is pretty standard. It was good, not super great. But we are hoping this was a fluke, since it is a HUGE hit in Stoughton. My husband got the hibachi and a volcano roll and I got the teriyaki chicken. The rice, which is my favorite part usually, was undercooked, which makes you not want to continue on at all. But so was my husband's so I am hoping that was an accidental thing. I also got bones in my chicken. I can honestly say that in all the Japanese and Chinese food I have ordered, this has NEVER happened before. I didn't even keep eating or even touch my leftovers. I'll let my husband try it again and let me know if it's better the second time before I go running back. read more

I really, really, wanted this place to be good because I would love to have a sushi restaurant close by! Unfortunately, the sushi here is AWFUL. We had to throw out the spicy salmon roll because the fish smelled and tasted spoiled. The Gyoza roll was not crisp at all - it the wrapper was soft and mushy. The shrimp tempura roll had BROWN avocado in it and the shrimp tempura was also not crisp - it was mushy. We ended up throwing the food out - what a colossal waste of money. read more

Finally! Stoughton had a sushi place that's not at Kwik Trip or inside a grocery store. What a tasty change and treat! They also have great lunch specials too. I can't wait to go back! read more

Lovely, family friendly restaurant on Main Street. The food is absolutely delicious, the service is fantastic. The vegetable hibachi was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I had spicy (1 star was very flavorful) skinny noodle dish that I loved. Veggies and chicken, steak and shrimp included. Very tasty. Ready for take out in 15-29 minutes. Highly recommend. Only complaint is that is was hard to find a menu on line. Will definitely go again! read more

This is now a restaurant in downtown Stoughton. Serving Hibachi, sushi, noodles. Was very busy at 6:40 on a Tuesday, so Service was a little slow (not unacceptably) and the waitress was working hard to keep up. Food was excellent, had the specialty roll "Rock n Roll" and edamame. Prices were very modest by today's standards, about 25% lower than my favorite sushi place (in monona) and you get 3.5% discount for cash. No alcohol "yet" per manager, but plenty of establishments within 2 blocks for that before or after. Check it out! read more

We gave Eat at Joe's a fair shake on their sushi. The first time shortly after they opened we decided to try their sushi and weren't extremely impressed but wasn't entirely disappointed. It was edible but had plenty of room for growth. The second time we had decided that the convenience of grabbing sushi close to home was to alluring and driving into Madison wasn't worth it. Unfortunately this time again the quality of the sushi didn't live up to its price. Next time we'll make the drive to Madison. I was truly hoping this was going to become a viable option for close to home sushi. read more
