Meh; The Jessica's fajita Mac and cheese with shredded chicken, dirty boy OG, were just ok and nothing to entice me back so I will not order those items again. I also think the morrocan shrimp was decent and maybe a little spicy but the shrimp were a little soggy and soft so I probably won't get that one again as they weren't to my liking. Firecracker chicken & rice and chicken Marsala I have to try again bc I don't really remember those. Not a fan of; chicken tiki masala (never again, not even close to this Indian favorite). BroBq crack was WHACK bc it tasted too vinegary and made me wonder if it was old? I've always been highly skeptical of the exploding home delivery food prep industry for selling the fiction of gourmet quality meals with just a microwave and a hair dryer to assist you - fools gold for a sedentary America. I mean, between Chewy and Door Dashed Taco Bell... will the real dog food delivery service please stand up. Well, it doesn't happen often but I'm dead wrong. I sampled some of the fare at Eat Clean Bro and the food was downright tasty and fresh. Chicken that tasted like chicken, fish that tasted like fish and veggies that snapped when I was expecting sodden gruel. As for the economics it's barely more than the retail cost of the ingredients. I stopped into ECB Freehold because I was dropping something off at SouthGate Manor next door. I am a teacher at one of the local high schools, and we had lunch catered by this company a few years ago. I really enjoyed what I had for a light lunch, but decided to pick up something for dinner. First, this place is small, but has everything that you need! There are refrigerators with detailed photos of what is in every single meal, all of which are sealed and contain all of the ingredients and nutritional information you need. The employees there are so helpful and kind too. Post-workout, I followed the directions and peeled back a corner of the plastic cover, placed it in the microwave for 2.5 minutes and WOW I had a fantastic dinner!! I bought the General "Bros" Chicken and holy moly, there was so much flavor. I bought the Buffalo chicken wrap for lunch tomorrow and I can't wait to try it. Can't say a bad thing about ECB. The food is delicious, portions are good, pricing is reasonable. Jamie, the owner, is absolutely amazing and kind. He really knows how to run a business. I've had several meals from ECB and, no I didn't like all of them but that doesn't mean someone else won't. Everything reheats well in the microwave and now that I WFH I can reheat in the toaster oven (healthier, which I prefer). I have tried Kettlebell (closed down now) and Snap kitchen, and although their food was good their portions were small. And Snap kitchen gives very limited options. I recommend it to all my friends, my coworkers/ bosses. My Texas friends can't wait for them to expand there. I'm also waiting on a north Jersey store for pickup. Going to be sad when I move from NY as I won't be able to get this anymore, but such a time saver for people who can't cook at home. Deserves the 5 star rating (I was skeptical and tried other places first, which I now regret) Meals reasonably priced ~$13 after tax. Have to buy ~12 meals to get above $150 for free shipping if not close to NJ area. 2 meals a day + 2 meals eating out is perfect for me. All the meals are good to great, just depends on what you like. I have found some of the meals I was expecting to like not fitting me and those I bought to just try end up becoming weekly staples. I think the best thing about this place vs. some of the other meal preps I have tried is that they freeze very well, which is important for me to buy in bulk. After thawing in fridge for 24 hrs, microwaving 2:30 - 3 minutes, they come out perfect, even the fish, pasta, and rice. Some of the other businesses I've tried become too dry or too wet, but these either come out perfect or are good after a little mixing. Tip: Mix the sauce before microwaving, as otherwise the plastic container holding sauce can melt. Maybe cons: 1. Not the cheapest options out there but cheaper, healthier, more convenient than take-out 2. Delivery time range wide - I think its like 2-8 PM? Mine usually come in later, but I get mine to deliver on Sundays when I know I'll be home, but also doorman can accept orders + I get mine with ice (free over $150). They are also good about texting you when they are close + delivered 3. Not the healthiest - I actually really like this about them + why I think reasonably priced, but a lot of their meals are above 500 calories (~700 calories). How people eat tiny 400 cal meals twice a day even when "dieting" is beyond me. I think you would have to eat at least 3 or buy snacks, which makes price comparable. They have a good mixture of keto, salads, normal balanced meals (maybe leaning towards greater protein and less carbs/fats). Overall, definitely recommend. I eat my own breakfast (oatmeal + greek yogurt = 300 cals) + lunch: 1 meal (~700 cals) + milk (~100 cals) + dinner: 1 meal + milk + scoop of ice cream or cookie (100-200 cals) for about 2000 - 2200 cals a day. For bulking, I would just switch breakfast to something heavier like breakfast burrito. Getting really long, but I just remembered the Bro points, which is just a small bonus, doesn't make or break it for me. read more

There is the option to pick up, and delivery costs an additional $10 I think if you are out of their zone. You get a reasonable portion for your money and are actually full from the food! Also, not much of an "alfredo" type of sauce because it's so runny. You think of creamy, rich, decadent, not watered down, almost bland. BBQ chicken thigh/leg -- smoky, spicy rub. Mashed sweet potatoes -- subtle flavor, great balance to the flavorful chicken. Tiny corn cob and looked way bigger in the online photos. And I'm not gonna lie, it hurts my heart a little to write a positive review for a company with a name like Eat Clean Bro. It hurts even more that my favorite meal of theirs is called The Situation. Yet, here we are. ECB is in a class of its own. In 5 or so orders, my least favorite meal from ECB beats anything I've gotten from competing services. Their food is good enough, with portions large enough, that I'm almost suspicious of the stated macros. I would eat their grilled chicken every night. (Cut it up before you put it in the microwave, though, because it's huge and will never heat through otherwise.) I reached out to them asking them the ETA for my order they said 8-9PM, then after 8PM when I haven't received my order I reached out again to ask for my ETA they said 9-10PM.
