I usually go to Greek Express but they were closed on New Year's Day when I went around 6:30 PM. I googled myself to the nearest Gyro spot and it took me here. I would have never tried this place otherwise. I didn't even know it existed and I travel this road every day! I ordered 2 gyros regular, a Cajun fry and a Shawarma bowl. Total was under $40. I sat and waited a good 10 minutes or so for my food. First impressions: place was well lit, small but big enough to accommodate a big group if you wanted to eat there. It was a long and narrow space with the kitchen taking up half the restaurant. The girl who took my order was very nice and patient with me. It was my first time there and I kept changing my order around. She was very sweet and friendly. I was taking pictures and noticed the place could use some cleaning up. It wasn't dirty but not spotless either. Here is the best part: the food! I got my food and took it home and yummy! Food is 5 out of 5! Loved the sauce that came with it: probably the best one I had. My husband said they were not skimping on the meat as his gyro was so big he could hardly close it! The fries were soggy because I took them to go but I air fried them at home and they were good. They were loaded with feta and spicy peppers! It was an interesting combination: not bad but different. All in all I had a great experience and would probably go back. It's lots of food for your buck and I enjoyed it! I just love Greek Express and Agape too so lots of competition. Agape is great because their Shawarma is so tasty and you get to customize everything. Greek Express is so affordable, quick drive through and delicious. Colorful food is healthy food... If you're looking for fresh flavorful food from the Eastern Mediterranean, here's your place. I'll keep this short and sweet... I got my favorite, a Chicken Gyro and it was absolutely delicious. There was a lot of seasoned chicken, onion, banana pepper, lettuce, tomato and taziki sauce on a warm Pita. Everything was freshly made and a very healthy alternative to most of the surrounding dining choices. My friend, Anna got the Number 7 Combo with falafel on pita, seasoned fries and a fountain drink and she said she was very pleased with her choice. I've never really had Greek food so can't compare this to anything BUT if this is what Greek food is all about then they set the bar extremely high for my baseline comparison. Food was delicious! The woman behind the counter was extremely helpful in recommending dishes and what goes well together. We got the Dolmadaka appetizer, the chicken and beef Shawarma combos, and the walnut Baklava dessert and all were top notch! So we have been to this place few times and had various dishes from here. Every single time, and every single dish was just excellent. Not to mention that their customer service has always been on point. I recently visited this restaurant to place a catering order for a small party we were throwing. I ordered the hummus dip, the chicken kebab, and the beef shawarma platters. I asked they separate the vegetable from the chicken kabab. Also, I told them that I was concerned that we may run out of pita bread that comes with the hummus. The gentlemen that took my order assured me that he would put in extra pita bread. I was supposed to pick up my food at 5pm on a Saturday. And 5pm on the dot of the day that I was supposed to pick up the food, I get a call from the restaurant that the food was ready to be picked up. When we brought the food home, we were pleasantly surprise with the amount of food. The portion size of each order was extremely generous. They separated the vegetables just like I wanted and they gave way more extra pita bread then I ever expected. Each item was just delicious! This little restaurant located just West of the Polaris Mall is incredible. My favorite dish here is the chicken gyro. The chicken is so juicy and seasoned just perfectly. I also highly recommend trying the fire fries. These fries come topped with spicy feta, cajun and lemonato sauce. For dessert, the baklava is a must try. They typically have several kinds and the pistachio is my favorite. The service is always fast and friendly. Every meal is thoughtfully prepared. Excellent food and customer service - these 2 things are always consistent with all our visits to Eat Greek. On one of our most recent visits, we tried a few different things (our excuse: we were trying to decide what menu items to order from them for a future party. More on that later.). We ended up trying (and loving) the hummus dip, the chicken kebab, and the beef shawarma platters. The flavored rice and the pita breads were both excellent side items. For our party, we ended up ordering the hummus dip, the chicken kebab, and the beef shawarma platters. The gentleman behind the counter who took our catering order (and was also present on the day when we picked up our order) was very helpful and so generous with our order portions. He threw in extra pita breads and tzatziki sauce with our order, and was very hands-on in making sure everything went smoothly. The guests at our party raved about how fresh and tasty the food was. We could not have asked for a better experience with all the times we dine here, and particularly the time we catered from Eat Greek. On our way back from my doctor's appointment, Marsha and I decided to go back to our favorite Greek restaurant, Eat Greek on Cameron Ave. in Lewis Center, Ohio. We were so happy to see that Chef Jusef and his wife were there. Chef Jusef has always treated us well and every item on the menu that we have eaten is delicious beyond words. Some of my favorite dining delights are the Saganaki, made with fried Kefalograviera cheese. When brought to the table this dish is flamed with brandy, which creates a wonderful display for the entire restaurant within viewing distance. Opa! Following this dish, I had tender, juicy Lamb Kabobs, presented with lamb with an assortment of flavorful roasted vegetables served on a large skewer that resembled a big sword. The accompanying yellow Thai rice is a definite plus. All of this meal is served with a generous helping of pita bread and Tzatziki sauce. Marsha had light Greek salad with a huge portion of sliced lamb, served with their house pita bread. Chef Jusef brought a generous sample of rice pudding with cinnamon sprinkled on it. This was the first time we've had this creamy, rich desert plate. It won't be our last! Although, we rarely leave without taking some of our food home with us, we couldn't resist purchasing four big servings of delicious, gooey, walnut Baklava. If you have never been to any of the Eat Greek restaurants, I would suggest adding Chef Jusef's Eat Greek restaurant near Polaris to your Must GoTo list. read more

Coming from Michigan which has excellent Mediterranean food, I was so happy and pleasantly surprised at how fresh and absolutely delicious the food is ! The vegetables are so fresh and well seasoned. My favorite was falafel and mu husband favorite was calamari. The food was fresh and the portion size was a lot. We couldn't finish the food and ate it bext for lunch. Greek food for lunch? Don't eat here. Maybe they have better food for dinner, but what we were served was not fresh and lacked flavor. If you look up their menu online and notice their prices and photos, well those are not correct. Poor service and lack of communication between staff and customers. Upon arriving, our party of five adults and one toddler was seated at a table. We asked for a high chair and one didn't come. So one of us had to go get one from the back. We noticed the menu had different prices from the wall menu and were told the wall menu hadn't been updated yet. We asked about the combo meals we saw online and our waitress had to go get someone else to answer us. The combo meals are only to go not dine in. So we chose to order off the lunch menu: choose an appetizer, sandwich, and side for $10. Hubby ordered hummus, gyro, and a Greek salad. I ordered falafel, gyro, and a Greek salad. We were the lucky ones. The others at our table ordered fries/sweet potato fries instead of the salad. Fries were either soggy, flavorless, or very small amount. You need ketchup for those fries? I wish I could share a photo of the delicious chicken shawarma bowl that Grubhub just dropped on my porch, but it smelled so amazing that I inhaled it in about two seconds flat. Fantastic doesn't even begin to cover it. We called ahead for take-out and had a date in our car (social distancing with the husband) since we had to be nearby anyway. They made our food literally as we arrived and it was hot and smelled fantastic. The restaurant provided gloves for customers. We ordered two gyro combos with fries and sodas and a couple of baklava. The gyros were amazing- juicy, well seasoned, and HUGE. I'd never had pickled banana peppers on a gyro before and it was just perfect- will definitely get them on every gyro ever from now on. The fries were hot, perfectly seasoned and soooooo crispy. I almost went back in for more fries and thinking of it now, days later, makes me want MORE fries. The baklava was somehow crispy, gooey, sweet, salty, and oh so rich. Service was above and beyond, even considering the precautions and restrictions on place currently. Eat Greek is one of my favorite places to eat! The atmosphere is relaxing and the food is incredible! I was there with my husband and good friends which will always make any dining experience a great one! Great food, laughter and fun are some of the best things you can have to make for a wonderful experience! We also were able to introduce a friend to a new dining experience. He was happy when we were leaving! As usual,we ordered too many appetizers, which is nothing new, so that my dinner was boxed up and brought home! The appetizers are so incredibly yummy and tasty! I tried something different and I never thought I would ever eat! When we meet our friends there, we all order our favorite appetizers and ask the chef to make our favorite appetizer that's not on the menu. We all share our appetizers and have a wonderful feast! We keep saying that some time when we go, we will just have to order the appetizers! The only problem with the entire evening was the wait staff. The restaurant was incredibly busy. Our server, was literally serving the entire restaurant! There was another lady there but she didn't take orders or serve food to many tables. Not only was our server taking orders and delivering food and drinks, she was also at the cash register checking people out! It seemed as if it took forever to get our food! Terribly, slow service and a ridiculously hot dining room. I'm always looking for new places to eat, and if that place has a 4+ star rating then I'm really interested. Sad to say, this place on the other hand did not meet that expectation. I wish there had been a sign on the door letting the public know that their ac was not working. When we walked in I noticed a box fan on the bar counter(see pic). It wasn't on when I walked by so I thought it was just temporarily placed there, nope! As we sat there at our table it was obvious that it was warm in there. By the time we were done eating I was soaked from sweat and was in need of a shower. We had asked for a high chair and it never showed up. We eventually had to get up and go get one for ourselves. Our waitress was not friendly or talkative at all. She only put 4 menus down for 5 people, so we had to ask for another. She never introduced herself and when I told her it was our first time and we would like a run down of the menu she ran and got somebody else. Strange. Before we arrived I had looked at their menu online and noticed combo meals that started out at $7.99 Which included a sandwich, fries and a drink. I couldn't find the combo meals anywhere in the menu and asked the waitress about it. She couldn't find it and once again she had to find somebody else to help. The next person said that those combo meals were only for carry out. What!?! We also noticed a price discrepancy on the menu vs the wall menu. We were told that the wall menu wasn't updated yet but that the menu was correct. We all ended up ordering the lunch special for $9.99. Personal appetizer, sandwich, and a side. I chose the hummus, gyro and sweet potato fries. Kids meal - mac n cheese bites $5 The Mac n cheese bites were small and not that good. 1/3 of the fries were burnt and the other 2/3 were mushy and not edible. I took them away and didn't let her eat them. The food took 30-40 minutes to arrive at our table. That's just ridiculous for a place that only had maybe 3 tables of people. The hummus plate was ok. My sweet potato fries were good but compared to everybody else at the table, looked like half an order. The gyro was pretty tasty, I am used to sliced gyro meat and this looked like it was ground up into little pieces. The gyro was rather greasy and very messy to eat. Others at the table said the falafel was hard, dry and had sesame seeds on it which made for a strange combination. We had to ask for dirty plates to be removed, had to ask for ketchup to be brought out. Drinks weren't refilled until we were just about to leave. Over all this experience was terrible, I didn't like sitting in a hot restaurant. If I had wanted to sit on the patio I would have asked to sit out there. The food was not that great and I can't recommend eating here as there are way better Greek places nearby that are cheaper, and taste way better. read more

Interesting place, service was a bit slow and food was good but not the best Greek food I have had. I fully intended to take pictures but by the time food arrived I was pretty hungry and I honestly forgot. I ordered the lunch special and started off with Hummus and Pita Bread. The Hummus was good and the bread warm. For my meal I ordered Pita Gyro and a side salad. It was seriously close to a 30 minute wait; I would regard that to be less than a 15 minute order to prepare as they had people in the place but it wasn't packed. The Greek salad was good; good dressing and I did like their inclusion of Banana Peppers. The Pita was honestly excellent, it was loaded with meat (the meat wasn't dry, it was moist) and I had had a lot of Gyros that could not compare. I gave three stars mostly for the service. I think the food could be 4-star food but the service was very slow and it felt disorganized. read more

Yeah! Eat greek all the way and all year long if you can cook like the way these guys do! It was so awesome thay i cannot put it in words. By far the best greek/Mediterranean cuisines i have ever had. It was a great discovery by casually searching through restaurants nearby! I went during the lunch time and honestly i was impressed with the cozy beautiful decor they have iit in. The prices are reasonable and the food is even better for the prices. We had ordered l Kabob and Gyro with baba ghanoush and hummus. The pita bread served were so delicious forget the rest of the stuff. We also ordered Bakalava at the end but jt was ok, although no complaints on that front because other things just overwhelmed us. Love the food here for carry out and sad to lower the rating. However, multiple times now we have had our online orders either missing items or wrong items. For example, once we ordered and paid for extra sauce only to realize we did not receive them after coming home. Just tonight, we realized that my husband's order we received was the chicken shawarma over hummus, but we ordered his favorite chicken shawarma bowl, which is over rice. This has now become a common experience for pickup here. It is a disappointment each time to come home just to find errors in our order. I also noticed today that their prices vary over different apps. On Uber Eats, the onion rings are $4.50, but on Eat Greek's website online ordering they are $3.50. On the Uber Eats app, the 3 dip appetizer does not show tzatziki as a choice; however, on their website ordering tzatziki is an option. The onion rings are not worth the price by the way, as only 6 of them came in the order. I would say the staff needs to double check online orders before handing them out to avoid experiences like these and unified pricing needs to be offered through all the apps. read more

Eat Greek is probably the best restaurant in this area. It has all the usual things at Greek restaurants like falafel. They also have many things you don't usually see. It's locally owned so they can do whatever they like. They seem to know what to do so no problem. I had the falafel pita combo. It's about $7 and comes with a side. They offer complimentary hummus which is shockingly nice of a restaurant like this. In most cases they would be way too cheap to do so. The hummus is great by the way. It also has a beer selection including several Greek beers. They also seem to hand out coupons like candy, which you can bring your next visit. If you're looking for something good and cheap around Polaris go to Eat Greek. It has some of the best Mediterranean. The service is also good so see it yourself. read more

OPA! What a pleasant experience! Was visiting Columbus from out of town and needed a heartwarming, comfort food with Mediterranean flair. I was not disappointed. This relatively small, apparently family run establishment is nestled in the hustle and bustle of Lewis Center off the beaten track. Ambience was home style. The food was ample, very delicious and the service was welcoming and pleasant I had the lamb kebab with rice and, I requested that the second side be substituted with tabbouleh. ( which, I have to say, the chef might consider that to be a really good substitution to make permanently.) the presentation hit the roof when the kabob came still on the metal roasting skewer. I don't have a single complaint about food or service. It's the absolute opposite. I felt like VIP. Although it was not during rush hours they still greeted us so warmly and all questions asked were answered so politely. We explained that this was our first time there and asked what they would recommend. We were walked through the menu highlights and then our drink order was taken. I tried the Alpha beer. If you like dark lagers this would be something to try. My husband asked for soda water and they had Perrier! Not many places do. As we looked over the menu we were served a complimentary hummus to try. Absolutely delicious! They make everything fresh and local. So the balance with chickpeas and tahini and lemon was perfect. Served with cilantro and kalamata olives and a nice tomato wedge. The pita was nice as well. I was almost embarrassed because we were short of licking the plate. My husband ordered the mixed grill and I got the chicken kabob. As our appetizer we ordered the mushroom pie (like spanikopita but with mushrooms). We were so in heaven with it. Completely ate the whole thing. When our dinner came my husband was digging into the lamb. He said it was the best he's had in Columbus! His new favorite place! My chicken was so good. The rice was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. I had veggies and potato fries and of course the "piece de resistance" my chicken. Ah, so good! After our food we asked about dessert and was shown a photo of their newest dessert. Baklava almond and walnut in pastry dough. Served warm with ice cream and whipped cream. Totally worth the calories. The chef came out and asked how dinner was. Wow, I can tell they care about their customers and their food. We gave him our honest feedback of the unique taste and how everything was splendid and delicious. He said they buy the lamb from a local farm and make everything from scratch. How wonderful! He owned a small place before in Worthington and started this place 8 months ago. He used to work at Yanni's at the age of 16. He's got some mad props for cooking and we are definitely coming back.
