So I stopped randomly because I had to use the restroom while working LOL. Restrooms are for customers only so I ordered a regular gyro no onions, fries and a Corona. My order was ready in a few minutes and I noticed how dense the wrapped gyro was. This thing was PACKED with meat and tzatziki sauce. I never met a gyro I didn't like but this thing was impressive. But the star was the fries! Golden, crispy and seasoned I was in heaven. I would come back for the fries alone. I love it when an impromptu stop turns into a new spot when I'm back in this area. This was a first time visit with friends who frequently eat here. The menu was pretty extensive. Wine and beer are also surprisingly available although on the pricier side for this "fast food " type of establishment. The employees were friendly and helpful. The building interior is slightly strange with a stuffed rooster and deer head mounted on the wall lol. Don't let the location or my description of restaurant stop you from getting good gyros. Everything was fresh and tasty. The vegetables and lettuce were crisp and fresh the tomatoes seemed like they came off the vine. The lamb portions were more than expected and not dry. The fries were crisp but not overly done. We did have a snafu with our take out order. We had ordered two children's chicken tenders and fries and only received one. It was a simple mistake during the ordering process and most likely was my ordering skills that messed it up. I went back in and the order taker and cashier apologized for the order mistake she took ownership of it ordered a second child's dish I paid and it was done in approx five minutes. I was offered a complimentary fountain drink for the error. The customer service was exceptional to me because of they she handled the error. If you don't care about customer service and you really are craving fried fish and/or a Gyro this place is for you. Literally the rudest people I've ever encountered. But their food is really good. The pieces of fish are big. So two pieces was enough for my husband. His came with Rice and Bread. He definitely enjoyed it. I had a chicken Gyro. Thy give you hot sauce, taziki sauce and some other sauce on the side along with seasoned fries. So good. The flavors are spot on. And the taziki sauce is really good. I ordered a Chicago dog. What I got was not vienna beef and it came on a regular hot dog bun (not seeded) and some really chopped tomatos. I do not know what changed I used to get dogs here and they were OK but now they are cheap and not worth the premium price they are charging. Its a shame cuz this is the only place on this side of town to get a chicago vienna beef dog and now this is not true anymore. If there was a 4.5 star rating on this restaurant I would give it, So many great things about this restaurant it a great place to go on a regular basis, If you can find something you like here, your not looking at the menu. Here they have something for everyone. Many places like this try to just put a-lot of options on the menu just to appease customers, but this place has a-lot of options on the menu that are made well, This place has food for every type of budget, and every type of lifestyle, from vegan, to the big meat eater. The decor looks great here, they just had a remodel and it was done well. This place is a great refuge to go to on a busy day. The cashiers here are very quick and responsive and know the menu well. The Owner is very engaging and remembers and acknowledges regulars.They have a great rewards program with the ap in which you can get a free combo meal after 10 visits. The only thing I don't like is that you have to get a key to use the restroom, and the sign says customers only. most restaurants don't force you to buy food just to use the bathroom, if you have to go, you should be about to go if you a public place. Not fancy on the outside but BOY is the food GREAT! I ordered the chicken and rice dinner thinking I'd skip the rice to save the carbs, but when I opened the box I had to take a bite. And wow, was it worth it! A very generous portion of chicken and rice with a few well-grilled vegetables, lots of fresh banana peppers and a delicious sauce (on the side) that resembles tzatziki. The food at Funny Greek is fairly solid but it lacks flavor. You do get a lot for your money though. In addition, the service is fast and friendly and the prices are very reasonable . I've had a chance to try a couple of different items on the menu and the fries are a clear winner. They're coated, fried and seasoned with chicken salt, and they're nice and crunchy. As far as their sandwiches go, I've tried the souvlaki and the gyro. The gyro I had was overloaded with meat and didn't have enough sauce. Also, there weren't any veggies on it. The souvlaki was made a little better, with a good sauce to meat ratio, but it lacked fresh veggies as well. Also, the tzatziki was bland. Most Greek restaurants I've been to load their gyros up with lots of fresh veggies - banana peppers, tomatoes, and cucumbers. Here they don't seem to do that. If you want a lot of food for your money, but you're willing to compromise on flavor and fresh vegetables, Funny Greek is the place to come to. The food is decent, but not great. read more

I have been hesitant to try this place out because it's entirely too close to my house for one and also it does look kind of rundown. Sometime those rundown mom and pop places are THE BEST and sometimes your lucky to not get food poisoning. I wasn't sure which one of those the Funny Greek was, but I decided to give it try. I'm always in awe of what quirky names these Greek come up with from Mad, happy and now funny, the latter being the worst looking one in the worst area. Buy 2 get 1 free, 1 for $1.99, 3 gyros for $4!!! this can't be good. I had a BOGO coupon and couldn't get myself to try the gyros or after walking in anything but the baklava. I lived off of gyros and croissants (kind of a sick combo now that I see that in writing) when I was in Europe so I know when I see the meat how it will taste, actually if I even want to bother. The meat is supposed to be whole steaks stuck on the stick so its a huge layered cone. Everytime I see ground or pressed meat I feel sick and let it go, that is not gyros, also meatwise, if its not lamb, its not the real deal, the worst offenders are chicken and turkey, totally unacceptable in Turkey or Greece. The baklava was loaded with honey and completly sticky which is the only reason they got 2 stars from me, even though one would think that would make it taste great, it was still stale and kinda hard. In all, 1 star because I have to and the second for the ample amount of honey. If you want alot of food for dirt cheap,eat here, I wouldn't be suprised if you'd spend all night in the bathroom though and to me thats just not worth it. read more

Another time we tried wings and mine had all the hot sauce on maybe 2 wings and the others were plain. It was like they forgot to sauce them. At least the fries each time were great. I think we have found a new greek food place, it is a little further than our current place but I am willing to travel for better food. This is one of my family's regular places. Their fries are amazing and I'm not a huge fry person, but they have spices on them that are delicious. The gyro meat is also very good and the sauce they make rocks. Sometimes we get the baklava which is pretty tasty.
