Eat, eat, eat... fours stars for innovation.
Until deliveroo.co.uk (see my other review) starts to deliver weekday lunches we're fairly limited here in the barren desert of the Kings Road. We have a socks store, a belt store, countless miserable women's fashion stores but no decent lunch spots.
Having to chose between EAT, Pret, and the grocery section at Marks and Spencer, I eat at EAT usually one to three times per week. There have been winters where I had an EAT soup every single day of the week, save Friday.
So why four stars for a Sandwich shop? Innovation.
The New Hot Pots:
I will admit it. This yelp review only purpose is to rave about the new pulled pork hot pot. It is amazing. I just love the combination of sweethish pulled pork with those absolutely exquisite pickles. And believe you me, I love BBQ food and I hate sweet and salty combos. However this one just works. I have it four times in the last week and a half.
There is a pulled pork sandwich coming out in a few days. Oh my, oh my, am I excited.
The Soups:
- Chicken pot pie: quality.
- Mexican chilli chicken: delicious but very rare
- Chicken Laksa: it's worth it but don't stray too far from a bathroom after one of these
- Chunky minestrone with pesto: not so tasty but perfect to ward off people with a disrespect for personal space
- Toulouse Sausage & Bean Cassoulet: heavy tasty business
Why not a 5*, even though this presents such good value for money? The decor is crap and store looks worn down and tired.
But man oh man - that BBQ hot pot is amazing. read more
