Sometimes, I don't have the ingredients on hand to make dinner, and Eat Rite offers a great takeout solution when I can't cook, but would like to eat a more mindful meal. They have offerings for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even dessert! They are reasonably priced for how filling each meal is. Eat Rite, Spell Rong. I'm not a huge fan of this place just because the food doesn't taste great. Reminds me of some of the better grocery store meals, but I say that with a caveat that there really aren't any really good grocery store meals in existence. I've had a few different dishes (my household in Buffalo likes them sometimes) and it's not bad but I do get the impression that some of the stuff is either not that fresh or not too well prepared. They pride themselves on professional cooking, healthy items and fresh ingredients, so that's weird to me. Prices are mid-range but definitely not cheap. Portions are not bad at all my main problem is that the food is not prepared with much spice of any kind and there's a slight leaning towards sugar over spices probably because of the kinds of people and appetites that are eating here. I don't want to say hipster in a derogatory way (OK I want to but I won't) but there is a tendency with the new American cuisine to prioritize sugar and dumb down spices, and I'm so over it. read more

I first experienced Eat Rite Foods towards the end of last year when we entered what is the busiest time of the year in my professional career. I normally meal prep for the week on Sundays and cook for myself with whole ingredients. But didn't have the energy for all that and I didn't want to resort to less healthier options. So I gave Eat Rite Foods a try. I am giving them 5 stars because the meals exceeded my expectations. During the quarantine, Eat Rite Foods again became a resource as they offered free delivery (normally $10). Delivery requires a minimum order of $60 or 10 meals. Usually I would just pick up but with trying to stay home, delivery was a nice option. I have also picked up meals there a few times in between last year and the quarantine just because their meals are good and it's nice to have something quick on hand sometimes. Most meals cost $6 if you order in advance with a dollar up charge on meals with steak or shrimp. The meals also cost a dollar more if you buy them right at the store from the coolers without ordering in advance. What exceeded my expectations was that the meals are actually flavorful and not bland as one might expect a healthy prepared meal to be. Also, and this is the big one: the meat is consistently tender. I have never experienced a dry piece of chicken or steak. Finally, these meals are a perfectly satisfying lunch size for me and I can feel good about what I ate. My favorite meals so far from Eat Rite Food are the: * Open Souvlaki Greek Chicken Salad * Chicken Parmesan Pasta Dinner * Balsamic Glazed Chicken Dinner * Bourbon Coffee Glazed Flat Iron Steak Service is always friendly and helpful. I had some sort of protein shake on site once too and it was very good, something peanut butter flavored. I think they sell nutrition products such as powders and bars as well. read more

My girlfriend and I have been trying to both eat healthier while also not having much time to meal prep lately, which lead us to giving Eat Rite Foods a try. I stopped in last weekend and thought the place itself looked great. Everything looks very modern and clean, they have merchandise for sale, plenty of snacks, and the refrigerated section with a selection of meals. The first thing I noticed is that most of the meals were just burritos and they had a few other rice dishes (at the time were seafood), and some steak and broccoli. I figured I would give a few of the meals a chance so I ordered the Mediterranean chicken wrap, steak and broccoli, and the hickory BBQ smoked chicken wrap. I didn't hate any of these meals, but all 3 of them lacked huge in the flavour department. Both burritos were small enough to definitely not be worth $7, had little to no flavour making it kind of hard to actually enjoy, while the steak with broccoli and potatoes had the same issue. The steak was pretty flavorless while I found the mashed potatoes to just not be very good. Eat Rite Foods offers a great service but I don't think it's one for me. I don't really feel that the bang for buck ratio matches and the food just doesn't leave me wanting to give them another try. Picked up 3 meals the other day. Korean stir fry, salmon with vegetables and southwest turkey bowl. Decent size for the price, 3/$21.00. Delicious and good size for the salmon, she enjoyed it. I had the stir fry, little spicy, a good mix, I liked it a lot. The bowl was very good, little spice by she enjoyed it too. Person at counter didn't have a mask or gloves on. Been ordering from eat rite on and off for the past 6 months. I like how they have a variety of proteins and veggies and I can easily microwave everything, unlike some other food places that have items that require toasters or ovens etc. Online ordering system has gotten better over time, the food tastes pretty good in general. If you pick the ones with the right veggies - they will still taste decent even if you freeze them and reheat a couple of weeks later. My biggest complaint is the entire pick up process. It's pretty much chaos every Sunday morning, between all the people who are just there to pick up preorders and the ones who are there to grab whatever is left in the fridges. There is a lack of order/organization, and oftentimes people just cut in line which really irritates me. There is also a lack of organization in the menu and nutrition information on the website. Many of the dishes were not listed, and the ones listed are not really listed in any sorted order. When I called and asked for a copy of the entrees list with nutrition information - they never got back to me. They have printed copies at the store, but it's still not in a format that would be easily sorted, so I ended up making my own spreadsheet, and now i can easily sort by calories, or any of the macro counts. Parking is definitely a hassle, since you're not allowed to park on Delaware right in front of the store. I always try and find parking on the side streets or have my husband drive and wait for me in the car, but it seems like no one else pays attention to the "no stopping at any time" signs and park right in front anyway. I'm moving out of the city this month, so I'll just likely get food delivered in the future. It's a nice option to have for an extra $10. I'm not a rude person. I say hello, please, and thank you. But the last time i was in there, the employee I dealt with was kind of rude and really ticked me off. There was no greeting, no acknowledgement of my thanks, and it felt like he handed the bag off to me rather hurriedly that i almost dropped the bag. Anyway, it is what it is. I love the food here! They sell proportioned meals that are calorie and health conscious, but are tasty and filling at the same time! This location is nice. It skips the frills, but it clean and to the point! I found the variety good. I grabbed a meal to heat up at work. You can also take a bunch of meals home for lunches or dinner. And it is SO EASY to just be able to grab a healthy meal from their store or pre-order online to keep in our fridge and have something easy & healthy to have for dinner throughout the week. It's been a few months that I've been getting meals weekly from Eat Rite and it's been a huge help. I work a lot (7 days a week) and it's hard for me to fit in all the things that need to get done outside of work. I found myself buying frozen meals, having groceries spoil because I planned to cook and then got stuck at work, and also eating out and not making great food choices because I was just too tired to make better decisions. Being able to grab meals from Eat Rite has made a huge difference. They have convenient hours. You can order ahead. You can get delivery. They offer a couple different discount options, which is much appreciated. Plus, every Friday, you can get $5 meals. That's a nice time to grab a couple to pop in the freezer for times when you're short on time and in a pinch. Mike and Luke, the owners, are awesome and super friendly. Eat rite foods is exactly what you need if you're looking for something to totally jump start a new and healthy lifestyle for you. I did it with these guys for a month and lost 30 pounds. It totally changed my day to day life but I completely stuck to only eating their meals as well as working out 3-4 times a week. If you need something for a jump start this is definitely the place to go! However, the food here is definitely not the greatest at all. It's good, don't get me wrong. It's healthy and has all the right nutritional stuff that you're looking for but it's not the best meal prep place that ever existed, I have found better in buffalo by now. The food is honestly really bland and I got sick of it super quick. I didn't like any of the chicken dishes by the third day. I did however really enjoy their southwest turkey bowls - that was my go to meal just added some spinach and tomatoes! I will say - they know how to get things done. Eat Rite Foods is one of the few meal prep businesses in Buffalo. It is conveniently located in both Kenmore and Niagara Falls, I believe. I've been using Eat Rite Foods for the past two months since I don't really have time to make food. I have also discovered that purchasing food from here is cheaper than grocery shopping. Besides saving money from shopping less, it has reduced the number of times I eat out a week. And of course, I've lost a few pounds. So overall, I highly recommend Eat Rite Foods if you're low on time and/or looking to lose some weight. Here are some of my meal reviews: 1. Shrimp po boy: Without a doubt, this is their best meal. It's a $1 extra, but well worth the additional charge. The shrimp is perfectly seasoned and cooked. This is definitely a 10/10. 2. Texas BBQ chicken bowl: The chicken is coated in a slight spicy sauce and topped with cheese. It sits on a bed of rice and beans, which I found to be kind of dry. I'd probably give this a 6/10. 3. Greek beef bowl: Ground up beef over rice and feta. I highly recommend eating this with some pita otherwise it's very plain. To be honest, I would probably give this a 4/10. It's filling but the flavour just isn't there. 4. Applewood chicken: Chicken breast coated in a light spicy sauce with sides of corn and potatoes. The chicken is fine, but the sides are overcompensating. I find the corn to be overly properly and the potatoes to be overly garlicy. I'd probably give this a 5/10 simply because I do not like the potatoes. 5. Sweet and spicy firecracker chicken: Lightly spicy chicken with sides of sweet potato fries and snap pees. This is definitely one of the better chicken dishes so I'd give it a 8/10. The sides are quite refreshing. 6. Bayou Chicken dinner: A lightly spicy chicken breast with sweet potato fries and corn. The chicken isn't overwhelmingly spicy and the fries are great. Again, the corn is a bit over seasoned. I've give this a 6/10. 7. Cajun garlic roasted chicken: Lightly garlicy chicken breast with broccoli and potatoes. I love garlic, but the chicken and potatoes together are too much for me. Again, I just don't like their potatoes. The broccoli is refreshing. I'd give this a 6/10. 8. Buffalo wing chicken dinner: Chicken breast marinated in a sort of hot sauce. To me, it tasted more like rooster sauce. Comes with a side of potatoes and green beans, which are nice. I'd give this a 7/10. 9. Grilled Korean bbq chicken bowl: A spicy chicken breast over rice and vegetables. The spicy of the chicken is nice. I'd rate this a 7/10. 10. Roma Italiano chicken: This is definitely my favourite chicken dish. It's a chicken breast topped with a sort of spinach and tomato mix. It sites over a bed of fluffy round noodle (the name is escaping me). This has a fantastic flavour and I'd give it a 9/10. read more

Eat Rite Foods is super convenient if you need a quick, healthy meal. They taste pretty good! My three star rating though has to do with the options for meals. I'd consider it average. I noticed every meal either had grains, white potatoes, or legumes. I try to avoid those foods but they're unavoidable in their meals. Ideally, I'd love to see double vegetables in the meals (anything other than legumes or potatoes) or the option to pick sides. For now, I'll just have to pick those things out of my meals. I'd definitely recommend going though. The food is good and I'm sure not everybody is as selective as me. read more

I'm really impressed with this place. Tons of different options rotating each week. You can prep for the whole week or just pop in and grab one ready to go meal for $6. The food is perfectly portioned and has the protein, carbs, cals and fat right on the lid - AND ITS ALL DELICIOUS. Great great flavors on everything I've had from here. Went in today and they had Steak and Egg breakfast burrito, Parmesan Chicken, Tex Mex Chicken and Smoky BBQ Chicken wrap as a few of the options. This was the first meal prep that I had started with (since then have tried 2 others in the local area). What I like: 1 - Love the delivery (for only $10) every Sunday morning it is at my door. 2 - The meals are never frozen and last about a week. 3 - The variety is good. 4. - the meals are "clean" not too much sauce, extra carbs, etc. it is a nice balance (some other meal preps have everything plus the kitchen sink in them.) 5. - Price is good. What I would like to see: 1. - Low Carb option or higher protein option (you can order double protein as a special order). 2. - Please offer some other type of side besides sweet potato fries (I think they are frozen type) and broccoli. Maybe it is just a seasonal thing? 3. - A female and male portion (only one portion right now) it is more than enough or me but my husband needs more. I love how convenient the store it for the grab and go meals. I cook a lot, and really enjoy it. I have tried few other similar types of places like these, and the flavors are really wonderful. I get bored of my same meal prep but don't when I choose a selection of their meals. I have preordered and often just pick up what they have in the store. I travel a lot for work, and eat a lot of my meals in he car. Their wraps have so much flavor, and help me get my healthy meals in without starving and then wanting to stop for fast food. I have tried a few of their smoothies too, and they are also very good. They have got it down with making healthy food taste good!! I really appreciate it! LOVE this place! I used to go to a different meal prep place in Cheektowaga and the food was just so bland I couldn't take it anymore. I was so excited when Eat Rite opened. They have a ton of different meal options to choose from each week. You can always go in to pick out meals from the coolers, but ordering online is really simple. I wish they were open a little later in the evening on pick-up day for people who work, but it was never really an issue. You could always pick up your order on Sundays. The meals are delicious! They have all of the calorie/protein/fat info right on the package if you're keeping track, and every meal is super flavorful. I put mine in the freezer and microwave them right in their containers and they're fantastic. Mashed potatoes don't freeze well, but almost everything else does. All of the guys are super friendly when you go in, too, especially the owners. They get to know your name when you become a regular because you can tell they really care about their business and their customers. They have a smoothie bar and kombucha on tap, too, so I picked up a growler and get my kombucha refilled there as well. Parking can be an issue, but nothing that would really deter you from coming back. This place is fantastic! read more

This is the place if you are looking for fresh, healthy, delicious pre made food at an affordable and reasonable price. I just finished my 10 meals over a week period and each meal was excellent. At first, the portions might seem small but that is really deceiving. The portions are actually filling and nutritious and the calories are low. You can supplement your meal with a salad and or fruit and you have a great lunch or dinner. So easy to order and pick up from very friendly staff. The beef dishes are tender and seasoned perfectly. Best meal prep service in Buffalo! You really can't go wrong with any of their options. I usually pick up a steak option or their jalapeño cheddar turkey burger wrap. So far so good! A few of us at work tried Eat Rite Foods last week and just ordered for next week. My personal trainer referred them to me. Very easy to order online and I love the fact you get to chose your meals. Breakfast Burrito w side of salsa is my favorite. They have different meal plan options to chose from whether you want to order 10, 15, etc... It seems like all their chicken dishes are included in the set price, but the beef and seafood options are about $1.00 up charge. Not a bad price. My mom and an employee tried another meal prep place, and I would see their food. Eat Rite foods meals are more flavorful and the meat is not "lunch meat strips" you actually get chunks of chicken. They also have a few "sweet tooth" options at an additional charge. I'm not doing this for weight loss, it's just a very convenient way for my husband and I to have our meals all set for us, that way I'm not spending all day Sunday prepping, I can actually just enjoy the day. I'm part of group of 8 coworkers who had been ordering from Eat rite for a few weeks. Last week we all placed our orders by the Thursday deadline. By Sunday none of us got our invoices to pay. Monday (delivery day) we heard nothing. One of the girls called to see what was going on. She was told by the person they weren't sure and would have the owner call her back. After several hours no call back. She called again. The person told her they would work on our order. Nothing. No callback, no delivery. She sent a email to which there was no response. Next day called again and spoke to someone. Who said they had sent us a email stating they couldn't honor the deal we had ($5.00 per meal being we had a group ordering). Not one person out of 8 received that email. We would of paid the $6.00 per meal price if we we had received it. She was told that the owner would call her back. Again nothing. Our last order would have been over $300. So you have now lost our business.There are now many places out there that provide the same prepped food service. We will be giving our business to one of them now. read more
