I called them for service and they said they would come out the next day and charge $85 + tax, total $91.58 for the service call. Before the tech came out I researched the codes on the internet and found that there were two very simple procedures that any able-bodied person could do and, if performed, could eliminate the problem. If this didn't work, replacing a water level sensor switch, available for about $50 retail, which takes 2 minutes to do, almost always worked. Although getting into the washer to do this only requires removing about 12 screws to get the top and back panels off, I'm many years old and not exactly in great shape. When the service tech came out he looked at the washer, saw the codes, and didn't really even touch it. He said I needed a new sensor switch, would have to order it, the charge to install it would be over $200, and the service fee to come out that day wouldn't apply to the repair cost. Since he was already there, I asked him to perform the procedures that I had looked up on the internet.. His response was: Our policy for this problem is, we will only replace the switch. He said someone would call me the following day with a repair. That was on a Friday. By Thursday the following week I had not heard from anybody there. So I called and spoke to somebody who asked me a bunch of questions, seemed confused, couldn't give me any information about the estimate, and then told me that the owner will call me tomorrow. It will be an interesting conversation, if he calls me that is. Regardless, there is absolutely no way I will have this company come out again.

We like to see the EXACT appliance that will be delivered to our home in a timely manner by people that have an interest in doing the job carefully. We also learned that this crew is able to repair appliances. Already planning which appliance will be replaced next by these knowledgeable guys.

If he felt an appliance wasn't worth repairing, he would tell you honestly and often wouldn't even charge for the visit. That level of integrity is why I trusted the company. Unfortunately, my recent experience under the new ownership was the exact opposite. I called Ace to repair a GE dryer. During the initial visit, I was told the dryer likely needed a motor and bearings. Because the motor was potentially covered under GE's warranty, I had GE inspect the machine before authorizing further work. GE's technician advised that the dryer was likely not worth repairing due to the extent of the issues. After discussing this with Ace, I was assured the dryer could likely be repaired for approximately $335. I authorized the work. The repair was completed on a Friday. Within hours of the technician leaving, the dryer began making extremely loud banging noises during operation. Upon inspection, it appeared the drum had not been properly secured during reassembly. Multiple screws were either loose or missing, and the dryer was no longer usable. I immediately contacted the company, provided photographs and video of the problem, and asked if someone could return promptly to correct the issue. My request was declined, and I was told the company would address it during normal business hours. At that point, the dryer had gone from needing a repair to being completely unusable. Because my wife works in healthcare and relies on daily uniforms, waiting indefinitely was not a practical option. What disappointed me most was not that a repair problem occurred--mistakes happen in every business. It was the lack of urgency, accountability, and communication after the repair failed. I also reached out to management and never received a response. I've owned multiple homes over the years and have dealt with many contractors, service companies, and appliance technicians. This was one of the most frustrating service experiences I've encountered. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage consumers to do their research and obtain multiple opinions before authorizing appliance repairs

I took my Eureka unit in for repair. They told me parts were hard to get and it was not worth…read morerepairing. HOWEVER, they gave me fantastic advice. Told me not to use a vacuum with a brush on hard floors and that stick vacuums (Shark, etc.) would not last long picking up things like bird seed. Recommended a canister unit. I bought one from them at a very reasonable price and it works like a charm. (He wasn't even trying to sell me the unit.) The cost of the new unit was very decent, but the advice was priceless. I would take any unit to them....but they are moving from Twinsburg sometime soon, to a new location, yet to be determined. This is a very decent mom & pop business.
