I have moved several times and used a three different moving companies. I would call this the move…read morefrom hell. The initial quote was not what I was charged in the end, they damaged several pieces of furniture and now will not respond to calls. They don't shrink wrap or pad anything, although they tell you initially that's part of the moving cost. It looks like I'm going to have to take legal action to have them pay for the damages. While their initial quote may be lower than others, I would advise you to spend the money and go with a more professional moving company and save yourself the headaches.

Three young men showed up and hauled everything out with no problems, smiles on their faces, polite, and professional. I consider myself an expert at moving and have worked with dozens of companies to move my home and office numerous times as we expanded or changed service areas but this was by far the best trio of movers I have ever had!! Upon delivery several items were missing, and several more showed up broken. The driver spent the whole day explaining to me how it wasn't his fault... They didn't pack it right... They didn't load it right. I finally told him to stop giving me excuses! The two movers that accompanied the driver actually did a pretty good job. They were very conscientious and careful, and did not cause any of the damage to the items... The items arrived already damaged or missing from the shipment. When I filed my claim for damages/lost items noted on the Form 1850 (loss or damage at delivery) , which were acknowledges and signed by the Carlyle driver... Carlyle ignored it. The company never responded to it, nor returned any of my calls. In my opinion... the military should cancel any and all contracts with Carlyle Van Services. This company has no integrity!

More than 3 months later. This is the worst disrespect to the military community. They put damage codes down for undamaged items so they would not be responsible for damage on delivery; however, they did not notify us of those damages on site. This is fraud. If we cannot rectify this through the company we will escalate it to the military claims office and use our own attorney if necessary. They continue to waste our time and energy. DO NOT USE this company.

They arrived…read moreon time, loaded up the truck in just under two hours from two single floor apartments, and got us moved into our split level in a bit longer than that. The cost was very reasonable, and they were also very helpful in disassembling/reassembling the beds. Branden also mentioned that the washer hookups were rusted on the new place, and suggested we ask the landlord for assistance with removal. All in all, I am highly pleased with the service we received, and would definitely use them again in a future move.

When we pointed it out to them, they said they would have it fixed. That was 10 days ago. We called them again today and they were very nonchalant about telling us they're not done with it and "maybe next week" but they couldn't be sure. Keep in mind, it's a scratch. They don't have to rebuild the thing. It seems like they're just waiting us out to see whether we'll say "nevermind" and just take back the table with the nasty scratch across the top so they don't have to fix it. They have not offered to replace the table either. They got their money, so this, of course, is not priority.

I called and asked to have them pack and move as I am a current cancer shut in. I started with one…read morelady who gave me a quote, to which I added $500 for anything I'd forgotten. When I called back to let them know about the chair lift, the man who had apparently taken over said the original quote didn't include packing and updated the quote. I.have paid two deposits now mind you. I found at least 4 empty boxes taped and moved. They charge by the box count and those folks got a nice tip. If only I had paid more attention. Closet and medicine cabinet that we asked specifically to be packed were left untouched, items were put on the floor and left on a book shelf that spanned 2 walls. The movers did not move everything because they didn't pack the truck right. We've made several trips to complete the move. They left hinges off of doors and lost screws to a dresser mirror. They hooked up the washer but left the connection loose to the point of leaking and didn't bother to hook up the dryer at nor did they mention that fact. They also put a recliner back together incorrectly, so it is now a piece of junk. Again these guys got a nice tip. Everyone was friendly enough, just not very thorough. When I called to mention these things he automatically jumped to I was accusing them of stealing and was not very empathetic to my situation and apparently didn't really listen to me and offered nothing to rectify the issue. Very unprofessional!
