At 4:00 PM, I realized I was dealing with scammers. I called Quick Move at around 4:30 PM and explained my situation. Eli asked me when I would like to move. I told him as soon as possible and he said do you want us to come over tonight? I told him tomorrow morning would be fine. Quick move showed up at my house at 9 AM with three trucks and four guys to load my stuff up. They had everything out of my house and back in my new house within six hours. I would highly recommend these guys. They were very neat, polite, and did an excellent job. They got me out of a bad situation.

We have had company moves, overseas moves, and sometimes moved ourselves in a U-Haul. The most efficient way in our vast experience, is not to load the truck until all items are checked off and sitting on the driveway, which was the way Mayflower did things decades ago. Apparently this crew was trained to take items straight into the truck and fit them in as best they could, so they had to partially unload and reload the truck because their packing space was quite limited compared to what their boss allotted for. Poor communication and planning, inefficiency all caused by the owner PLUS lack of coordination topped off by shouting rudeness and maltreatment in the end by the owner... it all adds up to a "never-again" pledge for this senior citizen. I paid 30% higher than I expected from the original quote and they left me frazzled.

Given the large distance of my move, I flew to my destination while they drove and even arrived at my apartment before I saw it myself. Knowing that would be a possibility, I had already provided my written consent for my landlord to give them access to my unit while I was away, and they performed beyond expectation. They put my belongings in a neat little pile that did not obstruct my walking path, as well as identified and reported some urgent maintenance issues, which meant one less thing for me to stress about as I tried to settle in. They damaged my dresser and lied about it. At my destination address only Floyd was working. DL moved stuff from the truck to the elevator. My friends and I had to help Floyd move the items to the elevator and to my actual apartment. When I called Bonnie and spoke with Mike he told me that is normal process. If that is normal process why don't you send 3 guys? I paid $650 for a move my friends and I had to help with. Mike offered to fix my dresser and give me a check for $65. RIDICULOUS!!! After numerous calls to MovingHelp, he made good on his contract and was very quick and efficient and apologetic. He even thanked me when I explained I would alter my yelp (and etc) reviews. It was very frustrating to see that he won't own up to his error online. I understand social media goes a long way... but to lie and then report as we never did business when I posted my receipts??? Like I said we all have those kind of days; but I would not recommend. Not professional enough for my liking. I also don't appreciate trying to pawn off the bad service to another moving company when I know who I did service with. Erasing one bad review is just like trying to erase history... it still happened.
