I've owned the car 20 years and have done nearly everything on it myself including an engine rebuild, so I'm a picky customer and know the car really well. I had a bad experience with another shop so was hesitant to risk that again. Emile was a breath of fresh air. Most importantly, he had great communication--he was easy to reach, would listen to what I wanted, and share his thoughts and different options, both up front, and as he went along. I never felt in the dark about what was going on or what the options were. In terms of skills, Emile has many years of racing and wrenching experience, so he provides "invisible" knowledge that's really valuable compared to just having someone do work on your car. He tuned a tricky triple carburetor setup and the car runs and idles better than it ever has, both around town and when driven hard. He also proactively suggested some tricks to get the most out of my engine build that I hadn't heard of and that work great. Emile's the type of person who truly wants to help you, versus get your car in and out of the shop and do as much as possible. If you're looking for a shop and hesitant to try a new one, I can say I'm a picky customer and was very happy with the experience.
