What a great unique store! Pretty much has everything, just small quantities. Toiletries, makeup, cleaning supplies, toys, office supplies, pens, notebooks, folders, snacks, drinks, ice cream, chopsticks, plates, bowls, mugs, a little bit of everything. Isles are small in width, but you can walk down with their small shopping cart okay. They also have hand baskets too. So much to look at. I did take my time to see all that they have. Took me about 20 minutes to walk around. I did buy their ice cream as I have had it before from another store and really loved them. And it was pure luck and the universe that when I got there, a gentleman announced over the speaker that the ice cream would be 20% off. Which then made me decide to buy more than I was going to. I now have a little stash of ice cream. I saved $7.00 on that little deal. I checked out without any issues, was given the discount. Everything was bagged up in a cute reusable bag. I'm sure I will come back. They have cute kids stuff, and I'm thinking Christmas gifts. The parking lot is small, but I was able to find parking in front. It's shared with other businesses and restaurant.

This was an okay store. Not a lot of stores like this in Austin. But one big thing I noticed was the extremely bad smell passing by here and there. Its like they shared the same air vents with the board game next door or something. I wanna say it may not be anyone in the store but someone left an old wet rag free in here. The store has a lot of chinese branded blind boxes. Prices for things like gundams are on the higher side. Some good prices on odd shaped plates and snacks. I do hope they put a gashapon here since I see a large banner on the wall.

Not sure what the negative reviews are rambling about....You have to consider that this was a grand opening and a building that I would consider a bit older. When my husband I came in to visit the store, we didn't have any negative experiences. The AC was working just fine. The place was BUSY. In spite of this, shelves were neatly stocked. Take a look at the pictures. They don't lie. Customer service was also very polite. They have collectibles, stationery, skincare, home goods, and good. There's something for everyone. I suggest visiting for yourself before listening to a bunch of Yelp keyboard warriors who won't attach images to their reviews.

Is there hot foods like food courts too?

No, there is no hot foods. It's a store. Not a food court setting.

Apparently, not realizing this page already existed. Anyway, covering all my bases and doing a review here as well. Note: I've also suggested an edit for the duplicate businesses. Ok now that is out of the way. Review time: I really love this location so much. The store is huge with wide aisles making it easy to navigate compared to the smaller stores. Even if it's crazy busy on a Sunday afternoon you can still get to the items you need with ease. The store is still very clean and of course modern since the rebuild. Employees are friendly. The shelves are stocked fully 99.999% of the time. I live extremely close to the East 7th Street store (5 min away) and opt for this location time and time again.

I love that they have a parking garage so if it's pouring down with rain, one doesn't get drenched trying to get one's vehicle with a basket load of groceries. On the ground floor, there is True Texas BBQ with ample seating. One can take the elevator or escalater up to the second floor to the supermarket. On the escalater, there is one side for you and the other side for your trolly of groceries. I have abandoned my neighborhood HEB and now patronize this one at 2400 S. Congress Ave.

Contrary to another review, they usually have fresh fruit on hand; bananas in a basket and prepared fruit cups. They have a fair selection of beer, wine, soft drinks and coffees. They have sandwiches and other prepared food (e.g. giant $4 burritos) in the cooler. One time I had to ask for toilet paper and the guy brought it out from the back room. I suppose it took up too much space on the shelf. This is the alternative to Royal Blue, which has even higher prices, although Royal Blue makes some food in-house. On the whole, I prefer Second Street because Royal Blue has a weird vibe and some weird brands and this place is a regular store.

Honestly unremarkable. An independent convenience store that knows it can charge more because of where it is. The staff were friendly enough, but the stock was kind of limited. That might be due to so many people being in town that week but they seemed to run out of drinks fairly quickly. It's also no fault of the store but it's worth mentioning right in front of their doors seems to be a popular hangout for Austin's homeless. I don't think we managed a single visit here without being asked for change. If you need a quick snack they are in a great location, just don't expect an overly pleasant visit.

For a dollar and some change it's a great size! As I noticed other people gathering around the hot food line, I couldn't help but decide on getting a plate. I picked up the ranchero bisteak and chicken Tinga and for my two sides, I decided on the plantains and nopales. Both of the meats I decided on were extremely delicious in flavor and the beef was exceptionally tender. I got red and green salsa and it appears that the red salsa is a tad bit creamy, which is not something I've had many times before. It was unique and extremely tasty. As for the green salsa, I have yet to try, but I am sure it won't disappoint. I do want to give this place praise because I have passed it up before, but it is not a place to be looked over. There's so many other goodies in here that you won't find at a regular grocery store so it's definitely worth coming inside and checking out especially if you just want something to do. The people were so nice exceptional customer service. There is seating if you want to eat inside and they were playing good music. I almost forgot to mention how exceptional the sides were. Often times people mess up nopales, but these were delicious.
