Stopped here to check out the blind boxes and the gashapon machines. I didn't end up buying any blind boxes because I didn't see any that I really liked, and that's okay (nothing was drawing my attention this time). I did try out the gashapon machines, though, and since it was my first time, it was exciting to see what I would get. This was my first time visiting this place, and it was much bigger than I expected. It's a fun spot for people of all ages! They have Sanrio, Pokémon, and all kinds of anime characters, plus a separate claw machine area, which made it even more exciting. If you're ever in the area, I definitely recommend stopping by. OK this place is just plain crazy - crazy cool crazy fun crazy good! I first heard of this store on TikTok from DMVfoodie and was very excited for it to open but it slipped my mind that the grand opening was May 1st and I just happen to be right next to it & HAD to go in LOL & wow wow wow! For a little bit of backstory Ebisu is one of the largest and most popular Japanese stores! This Falls Church, VA location is their third East Coast location & their second DMV location with the other one located in Rockville, MD, and they have another location Towson, MD, which is near Baltimore. They also have a store in Austin, TX and Alhambra, CA. It is bright, fun inviting and they offer a variety of goods, including high quality beauty, skin & hair care, speciality Japanese snacks & drinks, toys & stuffies, blind boxes, apparel & accessories, homegoods, collectibles and there's even a game area with claw machines & an official Gashapon Bandai shop! I was in awe to say the least lol, and since I had not idea they were there, I was just so excited and so mesmerized taking it all in on my first visit, that I only I got a couple of things. I got some snacks, with one of them being on sale, and a couple of bath products to try, but prices seemed reasonable and I will be back! I will be baaaaaacccckkkkk!!! read more

After visiting Teso, I was excited to check out Ebisu Life Store, especially since it's much closer to home for me. It has all the things I love about Asian lifestyle stores--beauty products, snacks, home goods, and cute finds--just on a slightly smaller scale. It still offers plenty to browse and discover. The store was clean, organized, and easy to shop, and I found myself happily wandering the aisles looking at all the different products. If you're looking for an Asian lifestyle store without having to travel as far, this is a great option. It has a little bit of everything and definitely scratches that shopping itch. I'll definitely be stopping by again whenever I need to stock up on my favorite goodies. read more

Welcome to NoVA, Ebisu! This chain of have been popping all over the place, offering snacks, beauty items, home decor and other essentials. The line was extremely long, and we were all in anticipation for the grand opening! There was a dragon dance to celebrate, and they were super fun, performing both in- and outside of the store! I loved all the collectibles, especially the Sanrio; their aisles of plushies were super cute, especially the large bear head! Check out their kitchenware; their dishes and mugs are great for gifts or to add to your home. I grabbed some Japanese Kit Kats that were priced competitively. There were a handful of staff members on site to readily assist; all were kind and friendly. Ebisu opened their new location in Falls Church and it has a TON of snacks, houseware, beauty, toys and more! This location has definitely less frozen items and more of specialty items. Super clean and spacious interior , and if you are into anime you will be in heaven!! read more

I went to Ebisu Life Store Falls Church for their grand opening. Lines were not terrible at lunchtime on Friday, and the store was busy but not uncomfortably packed. First off, my GPS dumped me out on the opposite end of the shopping center, so be sure to confirm where you're going before departing. The store is a couple doors down from the Michael's. Overall this is a fun place to pick up some Japanese snacks, J- and K-beauty supplies, kitchenware, and anime and kawaii merch. I was especially delighted with the quality wooden chopsticks and the variety of cute mugs and bowls. Plenty of Sanrio and Kirby merch also made me very happy, and there's also a great selection of Pokémon items. This would be such a fun place to take a nibling or friend's kid and let them pick out some blind boxes, although the appeal is strong for adult fans, too. Next time, I hope to see more Studio Ghibli and Frieren merch--I only spotted a single Frieren figurine and two Ghibli puzzles. I also did notice the chip readers at the register were old and looked used. Perhaps this is a temporary solution until new ones arrive. read more

This place is really really cute. I could've spent all my money on the Hello Kitty stickers. I really like the pen, pencil, and stationary section here. I got my younger son a Pikachu backpack charm here. My older son was with me and got blind boxes. My mom was with us too and got tons of snacks. So there's the "other place in Centreville" and then this place. I do rec the Centreville place over this one if you're choosing which one to stamp a passport for. read more

A relatively new Japanese market at Seven Corners. So many cool things inside. It's very bright inside the store, and it's full of Japanese stuff. There's plenty of parking and it's pretty accessible right off Leesburg Pike and Route 50. My son really loves going here to check out the neat things in the store. read more

This place is huge with almost everything Asian you can think about: toys, snacks, skincare, etc. There are many snacks that you won't find in Asian supermarkets. It's similar to Teso Life in my opinion, with the open space, arcade section, and the white floors and lights. I still think that Teso life has more items and seems a bit cheaper. The one thing I do not like is the $5 minimum I have to spend. It's not that I cannot afford it, but I like to think of other situations, such as if I only came here for a specific snack that's under $5. read more

Ebisu is currently all the craze right now with it being the FIRST store in NOVA from Japan's best goody shop. I went on a Friday night, the gps took me to the post office area but it's actually near Five Below on the other side of the plaza. Once you're on that side, you can not miss it. It is super bright inside and you will see it from a mile away lol. If you know Teso Life, they are both very similar. Teso Life is more into mainstream trends and Ebisu caters more to Anime and claw machines. They both carry Japanese drinks, snacks, collectibles and skin care products. Ebisu is more about gacha games; so personally I like Teso more (because its main stream haha). But both stores are great in their own way. read more

If you've seen viral versions of any of the above online, you'll probably find it in this store. It's easy to spend a couple hours (and dollars) in here! Prices were fairly reasonable, bit higher on some stuff than other places but not outrageous. Careful on the gachapon though, those coins add up! read more

Holy smokes, for such an unassuming sign, this place has a LOT to offer; frozen snacks, drinks, food, school supplies, kitchenware, toys, skincare & all are reasonably priced. I think the only thing they don't carry is fresh food. It was very chill, people wandering around up & down all the aisles with wheeled baskets which make shopping a breeze. The line moved quickly & the cashier was very friendly. I will definitely heading back soon. read more

Good selection of Asian goods. Had a bunch of Japanese Pokemon and One Piece single packs if anyone is looking. The Gacha machines were $3 a token. Most Gachapon Machines required 3 tokens. Pretty expensive in comparison to others in the area. Claw machines were packed too tight. We prefer Teso Life over Ebisu. Plus it's cheaper to grab my fave snacks at Eden Center across the way. read more

I had an extremely terrible experience with the staff's attitude. After I finished paying and wanted to exchange my item for a different one, two employees assisted me. The first employee took my receipt and gave me incorrect information about my item. Then a second employee came to handle the situation, but she did not apologize for the misinformation at all. They did not explain the issue clearly or answer any of the questions I asked to help me understand the situation. When I asked them about the price, they checked it on the machine next to them, but instead of telling us the price, they made us walk over to the machine ourselves to look at it, which was very RUDE. In the end, when I asked them about my issue, they just handed us a receipt that had been crossed out and scribbled all over for us to look at ourselves, without giving any explanation at all. The staff in the store were not friendly, and their attitude made me very upset. When we got home, we had to check the receipt ourselves to figure out the problem on our own. This was the worst shopping experience I have ever had in my life, and I will never return to this place again. read more
