I went to Ebisu Life Store Falls Church for their grand opening. Lines were not terrible at lunchtime on Friday, and the store was busy but not uncomfortably packed. First off, my GPS dumped me out on the opposite end of the shopping center, so be sure to confirm where you're going before departing. The store is a couple doors down from the Michael's. Overall this is a fun place to pick up some Japanese snacks, J- and K-beauty supplies, kitchenware, and anime and kawaii merch. I was especially delighted with the quality wooden chopsticks and the variety of cute mugs and bowls. Plenty of Sanrio and Kirby merch also made me very happy, and there's also a great selection of Pokémon items. This would be such a fun place to take a nibling or friend's kid and let them pick out some blind boxes, although the appeal is strong for adult fans, too. Next time, I hope to see more Studio Ghibli and Frieren merch--I only spotted a single Frieren figurine and two Ghibli puzzles. I also did notice the chip readers at the register were old and looked used. Perhaps this is a temporary solution until new ones arrive.

Now I don't have to drive to Maryland! I just found out about the opening a few days ago and excited I got to go. Spend over a certian amount and you get extra goodies. They've got blind boxes, beauty, snacks, cleaning supplies. A little bit of everything. Very spacious, and plenty of employees walking around to help Can't wait to go back.

Store is much bigger inside than it appears from the front. Loaded with lots of unique Japanese inspired items from toys, food, makeup and accessories to live your best Ebisu Life. The store is light, bright, clean and busy. Lots of parking in this strip mall location.

Love that Ebisu is closer than ever with this location! It's a huge store with a mix of gachapon, blind boxes, snacks, stationery, and more. If you've seen viral versions of any of the above online, you'll probably find it in this store. It's easy to spend a couple hours (and dollars) in here! Prices were fairly reasonable, bit higher on some stuff than other places but not outrageous. Careful on the gachapon though, those coins add up!

There is a few tables and a trash can in the back. Small area, but cute. I LOVED how savory and cooked the pork skewer was - probably my favourite thing. The meats in general were tasty. Lumpia had a nice crunch too. The halo halo was a little too icy at first, but was great once things were mixed. I have to come again to try more items! The restaurant part of the market is in the back of the market. The parking isn't the best in this lot, but you could park at Food Star if needed to drop by.

The staff in the front in the grocery store were very warm and welcoming, even said bye and thank you when we left after dining. This review is based on the "Manang" who was working the food counter - 100% attitude. Been a long time since I've come across a rude elderly Filipina lady so I am writing what happened. There was clearly a culture and communication gap. I ordered TWO Ube ice creams, one for me and one for my 94 year old Tatay. What I got in return was One order of Ice Cream with two scoops of Ube. I said I ordered two Ube Ice Creams and she said that is what she gave me. The missing link was she interpreted Two Orders as Two Scoops. By that logic, had I ordered Four Ice Creams, I would have ended up with Four Scoops in one bowl. She put the blame on me where another customer had to intervene and say give her another order. As I tried to pay for another order, she said the minimum for a credit card charge was $5.00. It was a very PAINFUL visit. I would not have been so upset if she acknowledged the miscommunication gap, instead, she blamed me for not ordering correctly. In this case, how was I supposed to order Two Ice Creams? Finally, her attitude and customer service was disgusting, not representative of the Friendly Filipino culture I know of and that the rest of the world knows. Management and Owner needs to have a bette understanding of what her thought process was and why she thinks her attitude and behavior is acceptable.
