This location offers COVID-19 vaccine, immunizations, in-store pickup, photo, UPS access point, pharmacy, over the counter medications, groceries, gift cards, and has a pharmacy drive thru. This CVS is bigger than other CVS locations I've been to. My phone carrier is T-Mobile and through the T-Mobile Tuesdays in the T Life app this past Tuesday, T-Mobile customers can redeem 10 free 4x6 prints for in-store pickup orders at CVS by using the "Photo Prints Now" app. The app is very easy to use. I arrived at CVS Pharmacy on Friday afternoon about 2:30pm and the staff member behind the counter was easily able to retrieve my photos for me with my name and the size of photos. I was in and out in only a few minutes.

The last few months brought on a bout of bad luck here. Unless you go first thing in the morning, expect to wait 10 minutes in a line to get your pills. Last week, I tested positive for covid, and the doctor phoned in an order for pills to treat it. I got a text message saying that the order was received and would be ready for 3 PM. I decided to wait until the next morning, when I was told that they had not touched the order, so I had to wait 20 minutes for them to get to work. The real deal breaker came that weekend. I realized that I had run out of daily asthma meds, so I put in an order. Friday afternoon the 23rd, I told them that I needed to make use of their home delivery service. I was told to call the next day and they would set it up/ I called the next morning and they agreed to deliver the med for an $8 fee. I paid for the delivery and the med by credit card. They told me I had to stay home to receive it. Easy call - we both had covid. Hours went by and I called to ask about the status. "I no nothing," said the woman on the phone. More hours went by, and my wife called - only to find out that they would not be delivering the med - ever. They happily refunded the money, but then we had to go out of our sick beds and pick it up anyway. Otherwise it would wait until the day after Christmas and we would still have to pick it up. If there is one thing you absolutely must have from a pharmacy, it is reliability. Two strikes in the same week, and we will not be waiting around for strike 3. Sadly, we will be moving on.

A year ago, I came to this CVS for passport/ID photos. The quality was abysmal--no flash, blurry, completely unprofessional for a place that claims to specialize in document photos. When I politely pointed out that for $24, the photo should at least be decent, the female manager completely snapped. She started screaming at me, was incredibly hostile, and began loudly gossiping about me with her coworkers right in front of me. She literally made derogatory comments about my appearance, calling me a "dumb white girl" and a "blonde," saying that everyone else liked their photos before I showed up. When I refused to tolerate this abuse and asked for a refund, they botched the transaction and accidentally charged me another $24 instead of refunding it. In total, I was out $48 for a ruined photo and a mountain of disrespect. I had to return to the store, where the staff suddenly "didn't understand" anything. I had to call corporate customer support and even consult a lawyer friend to prepare a formal complaint. Thankfully, CVS corporate customer service was helpful and finally returned my money. Update: I recently had to visit this location again last week, and I must admit the experience was completely different. They seem to have hired new, normal cashiers, or at least the person who helped me this time was polite and professional. With the apathetic employees and just general volume of people. I may on occasion pop in to get seasonal decorations or garden supplies. Nowadays I use curbside pickup most times. As I write this I have been sitting in my car for a half an hour. I ordered seven items but, only two were delivered to my vehicle. The young man was very apologetic and went to grab my other items. He was very pleasant when he finally returned with my items. In my opinion, this location definitely needs more personnel. I suspect that the employees are overworked and just as frustrated as we customers are.

This CVS has screwed up one of my most expensive prescriptions for the last three months and the pharmacy department is unapologetic, unwilling to take ownership of the problem. It's impossible to get in touch with management. You are asked to leave a message and someone will get back in 48 hours. And then that never happens. This Hicksville location is the worst of any of the Nassau County CVS stores. They treat me like the jerk when I explain the multiplying issues with my prescription fulfillment. And to the pharmacy manager at this location...I am sure I am not the first person to politely explain to you that you have delusions of adequacy.
