We have been using this store for a few years, after the Duane Reade left our neighborhood. The staff is generally friendly and helpful. The last few months brought on a bout of bad luck here. Unless you go first thing in the morning, expect to wait 10 minutes in a line to get your pills. Last week, I tested positive for covid, and the doctor phoned in an order for pills to treat it. I got a text message saying that the order was received and would be ready for 3 PM. I decided to wait until the next morning, when I was told that they had not touched the order, so I had to wait 20 minutes for them to get to work. The real deal breaker came that weekend. I realized that I had run out of daily asthma meds, so I put in an order. Friday afternoon the 23rd, I told them that I needed to make use of their home delivery service. I was told to call the next day and they would set it up/ I called the next morning and they agreed to deliver the med for an $8 fee. I paid for the delivery and the med by credit card. They told me I had to stay home to receive it. Easy call - we both had covid. Hours went by and I called to ask about the status. "I no nothing," said the woman on the phone. More hours went by, and my wife called - only to find out that they would not be delivering the med - ever. They happily refunded the money, but then we had to go out of our sick beds and pick it up anyway. Otherwise it would wait until the day after Christmas and we would still have to pick it up. If there is one thing you absolutely must have from a pharmacy, it is reliability. Two strikes in the same week, and we will not be waiting around for strike 3. Terrible. I just wanted to know if they take my insurance, the clerk told me to wait at the consultation line and when I did all the employees were just staring at me like a deer in headlights. I was waiting there for over 20 minutes. Mind you, I had just got oral surgery and needed antibiotics and pain killers as the pain started to kick in. I had to know if they took my insurance so I could get the prescriptions sent over. I don't want to make it a racial issue but everyone else in line was white and being helped, while I am a black woman. I don't suggest going here. read more

Horrible. Spent fifteen minutes ignoring guests and then refused service due to their inability to fix something for another customer. Was told that I was not in the building before they closed when they have cameras that could verify that. Medicine that was needed for a sick person left locked behind a counter because someone selfishly couldn't help someone who arrived while they were OPEN. read more

Incompetent. I have to now cancel a procedure I need because these employees are wildly incompetent. The medicine I needed wasn't in stock, I waited 35 minutes on hold to speak to someone that said it was sent to a different pharmacy and that I could go right now to pick it up. I went, they never sent it over. I couldn't even call them again because they were closed for lunch. I'm not sure what kind of ridiculousness that is, what kind of children work there that need to all take a lunch break together? Do they get a recess as well?! By the time they're back from their coffee clutch it will be too late to take the medication and therefore I cannot have my procedure. Wonderful. Hopefully if I die I can sue these ingrates. It's ridiculous. A pharmacy should be professional, medication is not a joke, yet this entire pharmacy is a complete and utter joke. Crazy. read more

I stopped by this CVS a few times. My last visit was Christmas Eve. The store was empty. They must have been busy earlier as the store was a little messy. I picked up some chocolates and a big bag of Epsom salt. Holiday items were on sale.They were all out of the gift sets as was to be expected. There is an ATM inside. Racial slurs from employee If I can give zero stars I would. My father is Hispanic, basically my father went here thinking they sold cigarettes for his wife and asked the cashier if they had sold any. instead of a simple no he was told by the cashier "this is a drug store not a bodega" (a small grocery store, especially in a Spanish-speaking neighborhood.) We speak clear English in fact we barely know Spanish. Upset my Father cursed him out but the employee antagonized him from a corner telling him to fight. I went in and explained what had happened to a manager and nothing was done to the employees nor was there an apology. This is disgusting especially in todays climate. read more

I give the pharmacy 5 stars mainly because of one specific male pharmacist. The pharmacist is always so helpful and he goes out of his way to help me with all my family's prescriptions. He is friendly and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this pharmacy. read more

For some reason the pharmacy is just bad. Never got over absorbing the rx's from waldbaums. Also a long wait to pickup in friendly workers always give me a problem hardly have my prescriptions have to wait for them to get them. I don't go to CVS for scrips but I do shop there for other items because wife is always getting 30% off coupons. This store is usually terribly stocked and I'm not even talking about sale items. Went there last night for four items. Two weren't in stock and one had an open box and one that was crushed which we ended up buying anyhow. None of those were sale items. Seems like the manager is above putting items on the shelf and only directs staff to do it while he/she does whatever it is he/she does. I try to go the the other ones in the area as the Hempstead Tpke store is much better but I happened to be nearby. read more

This CVS has greatly improved over the last few years. Employees are consistently cheerful and helpful. There are lines but they move quickly. They're sufficiently stocked - I pretty much always find what I came to get, or a close enough substitute. I'd give it 5 stars if not for the pharmacy. Things always seem a wee bit uptight back there, and theres usually a bit of a wait. Nonetheless the pharmacy is a well oiled machine and you'll get taken care of. read more

Cashiers awful soooo slow really need training can't process gift card.Older woman today what a mess couldn't scan my cvs card almost yelling at dam scanner calling it piece of sh!!. Then give her gift card on my phone used in past never had issue she was angry and nasty with employee who was trying to help her. I left without my purchase after her grunting under breath and watching her become nasty and angry w coworker who was only trying to help. Very nice staff but limited inventory and employees doesn't make for a happy customer! I went in for 2 amazon gift cards and they only had $100 cards. So then I went to look at the greeting cards but they were $6.99 for a simple greeting card. I walked out with a drink because I was thirsty! Now I have to go somewhere else ugh! read more
