So my removal total was $20 lol $100 for a gel mani that I had to settle for a color & a regular pedicure is pretty extreme in my opinion did not leave feeling better or relaxed-- just stressed

The person who gave me a manicure destroyed my nails - she filed my existing colour off, causing me…read morepain (I did say "ouch" a number of times when she was doing it) and obviously going too deep, weakening all my nails - 2 days afterwards, the gel nail varnish started to peel and now, a week and a half later, 8 of my nails have broken right down to my nail bed - I normally have very strong nails and have never had such a disastrous manicure. Two of my nails were bleeding and I had to get antiseptic cream for them afterwards. This nail technician did not appear to have any training, from the state in which she left my nails.

I shopped, ate, museums (typical tourist stuff) then had 3 flights home with extra luggage and customs where i had to get my bags, transfer to another flight and then settle on my last leg. One of my bags had broken in transit so i even was carrying it wrapped in plastic (terrible for nails). I've now been home, putting things away and settling in. Its been over a week and my nails still look AMAZING! I wish I lived in Florence for all the normal reasons and now i even have a regular nail girl! Why not move . I've lived in Florence for 8 months now and have gone here 3 times. I originally went here because…read morethey claim to do "dip" nails. The dip is only for the base and then they finish it with gel, which I was have avoided for years as I do not want the skin exposure to the UV light. The first manicure was good, not great, but I liked the atmosphere of the salon. It was definitely priced on the higher side, especially compared to US pricing. The returned a month or so later for another manicure and simply got the gel manicure. It last about 2 weeks before starting to chip, which I found unusual. I decided to do my own manicures because I didn't want to continue UV exposure for a gel manicure. So I finally went back last week, after the holidays, to get a "dip" manicure once again, to help protect my nails and keep them strong. I guess I had forgotten they do not do a true dip manicure with powder for the color coat, only the base, using gel and UV for the color coat. Literally within 24 hours one of my nails chipped. And I am not hard on my nails. I decided I would not go back after paying €80. No fill, no artificial nails - just base coat and gel color. And then, two days later, another nail chipped. Maybe it was the nail tech, but I will not return. I expect more out of a salon that charges this kind of pricing.
