I LOVE this salon!!!!!!! We've been in florence for about 10 days and over the course of this time, we visited Lapo for pedicures, massages, waxes, and a haircut. Everything was done perfectly and the level and quality of service is extremely good! The prices are fair as well, for example a spa pedicure is 35 euro. This is def pricey for US standards but its done the way were used to, so no surprises. They also accept credit cards. The people who work here are what makes this salon memorable. They're friendly, professional, and speak English yay! We were even offered espresso and wifi while we waited. Trust me, if you're in florence and in need of some pampering, head over to Lapo. I think the man who did my hair was vicenzo, was so nervous to get my hair done in another country but I'm pretty sure it's the best it's ever looked or felt. He cut off about an inch, styled it, and redid my total color platinum. SO good. Beautiful salon, everyone is so friendly. I'm really picky about my hair so for me it's worth paying a little more to know I'm getting quality. Love the products they use here, especially the davines hair line. They seem to cater to a mainly italian clientele but most of the staff speaks English too. I went to Lapo Via dei Fossi while I was living in Florence. Although at that time, I had a huge language barrier, Claudia was very comforting and was able to understand what I needed to get done. I usually opt for threading because #browngirlprobs but Claudia shaped my eyebrows beautifully by waxing. I was also due for a brazilian and although I was very reluctant to try a new place, I was very pleased. Claudia made the whole process very seamless and definitely took her time to make sure I was completely satisfied. I wish I had tried this place for other things such as hair cuts/styling but I could tell by the professionalism of their hairdressers that this would also be a superb service. I was searching for a well-priced blowout near the Duomo and came across Lapo Via dei Fossi. After calling in English to confirm the price (32 euro), I stopped by first thing in the morning. The salon is really pretty - I loved the wall of plants. My blowout experience was one of the best, including the ones I've gotten at DryBar. Lapo is a beautiful salon, clean and professional. I was able to call and schedule an appointment (in English) the same day for a Brazilian wax. I wasn't able to get the name of the esthetician who did a Brazilian wax for me, but she was very professional and kind. Even though her and I had a language barrier, she was patient and understanding of my efforts in trying to speak Italian. This wasn't the most thorough waxing I've had (I've had a Brazilian 4 times before), but it was good enough. At previous salons, I've had estheticians pluck the remaining hairs that weren't snagged by waxing. The esthetician prepped the area with body powder and made sure the wax wasn't too hot before contact with my skin. She was quick and efficient. The price was very fitting for the job. My waxing cost me only 20 euro! read more
