Brought in a golf cart flat tire, told $75 to fix it! Technician could not find any leaks, and they charged me $50 to tell me this.

The service department is awful! Do not waste your time! The manager for service is very Rude! Jeri does not return phone calls and if you get her on the phone she is not helpful and she does not care about your cart or issues! In December, 2020, I had extensive work done on my golf cart, including new batteries and a new motor. The motor failed in September, 2021, so I called Ecco to come and fix it. They picked up my cart, complete with the key in the ignition (since it didn't run) in September and completed installing the new motor in mid-November. I was informed that the cart was done, and that with the new motor it was running between 26 and 29 MPH, but that the Service Manager wanted to talk to me about it. I said fine, and called the service number, which is on a perpetual "please leave a message," and left a message. Rod, the service manager then called me and left a message, as I wasn't available, and then I called back and left another message. I did this several times over more than a week before finally talking with Rod, and learned that what he wanted to talk with me about was to let me know that they would only warrant the new motor until the end of the year (the warranty period of the original motor), and that while the motor was under warranty, the cost of diagnosing that it was bad, the labor costs for removing and installing the new ones, plus various charges for shop supplies, etc, would still be charged ($248.25), and by the way, they noticed that the rear tires were worn, would I like them to put on two new ones while they had the cart. I declined. It still took several days to get my cart back, but when it was delivered there was no key. They said, they hadn't had a key for it, but then how did they know it would go it would go between 26 and 29 MPH? Besides, I KNOW the cart left with a key in it, as I was careful to take off my garage door opener and put the bare key in the ignition! Additionally, the grime from the technician handling the seats was still there, and even my name written on the windshield, in something that windex won't take off (I'm afraid to use a scraper or solvent on the windshield, but guess I'll have to end up doing that). Service department is awful. Do not answer phone during week or on weekends. Returned cart but left outside in rain with key under west despite their having the code to leave in garage. Wish there was competition. read more
