I was up in LA for an event and tried for the first time 3D lashes by Echelon Aesthetics, because a friend is a fan and highly recommended. I was beyond impressed with the attention to detail, professionalism and accommodation. We asked her to come to us on location and she was able to make it happen for us. Not only that, but she took her time and educated me on her technique, schooling and proper care of my new lashes. In that process I could tell she was extremely passionate about her career and not just doing it for the money. I loved finding out that she is actually a professional artist to loves to create beauty and it makes total sense with what she is doing for women. She mentioned she even does areola restoration for women effected by breast cancer or bad surgeries- pretty badass. The lashes are expensive, but so so worth it. I would say after this experience I'm hooked and can't imagine not having them. I literately wake us and look ready to go. Wow. I really wanted to take my time to give an honest review after my experience. She is by far one of the best I have been to and she was the kindest and sweetest I honestly didn't even feel my lashing to be very long as I have before with other lash artists. Highly recommend Maya Lashes. She makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed (I even feel asleep for a bit) :) She is very professional and really cares about doing a good job. I chose a tattoo artist with an art background, but it turned out that she didn't quite get what I wanted in terms of eye makeup -- so I needed to have it redone. Maya is so sweet and kind. After impulsively deciding I wanted to get my lashes done after taking a break for a few months Maya was very accommodating in fitting me in for a next day appointment. I received the 3D lashes and they are absolutely gorgeous. I've been back to her for a fill and once again for an emergency fill to even out my left eye that suffered some lost lashes. Each and every time she made it easy to book an appointment with her. Please make sure you are on time to see her as she rents her space out so any minute lost is precious time wasted (lesson learned as I'm ALWAYS at least five minutes late for everything). I love her work and her technique is flawless, she is the only lash artist I have been to that places the extension so well that they grow out with my natural lash and don't criss cross all over the place. Unfortunately I believe I might have developed an allergy to the glue however, so I am extremely sad about that. I will say that I don't think it's her glue in particular because I tested out a MUA friend's formula and I developed the same mild sensitivity to hers as well (dry and itchy eyelid). I researched the issue and it seems its common to react to glue this way once an allergy has been developed. :'( I'm very bummed that this happened to me and will have to ask Maya if she has a hypo-allergenic or sensitive glue formula available as I love love love getting my lashes done.
