I rarely write reviews anymore but I feel like Sheila Bella deserves one. Their front desk girl Jasmin is the sweetest even when I was so annoying asking many questions and changing times she was always so patient and nice. Leslie has done my eyebrows twice and the second time she had to work around an issue I had with one eyebrow being much higher than the other due to botox a few weeks earlier that had been placed improperly, she was amazing and now that the botox has worn off they are perfectly symmetrical! I'm so glad I trusted her that she would be able to work around the unevenness. She's very calm, easygoing and friendly. The inside of the building is also really pretty the only drawback I could see anyone having with them is they are a little pricey but I guess you get what you pay for and I can't wait until they are open again for my touch up! :) read more

So I loved the work they did back when they first did it. The technique was great. I had great brows - until I didn't. The color has faded and now I'm left with PINK eyebrows. It's been over a year since I had a refresh to my brows and I am STILL unhappy. I originally had my brows microbladed in 2016 and had several touch ups that year (needed multiple because my brows were completely different colors). When I went in for my touch up in summer 2018 I went to the same tech as before. We discussed my shape and color, and that I would like my arch a bit higher IF POSSIBLE. She instructed me that this would be no problem and that my previous microblade would fade over time. Over a year later, here I am with TWO TAILS. Service: Eyebrows Price: $595 Last: Not even 7 months So disappointed! So here's the scoop: Last August (2014) I went to Sheila to get my eyebrows done. I can't tell you the amount of research and effort I put into finding a good place. I was TERRIFIED of ending up with eyebrows that looked like someone took a crayon to my face! I LOVE dark, thick, shaped brows and I don't even want to count the endless hours I've spent in front of a mirror with tools, putty, pencils, and powder, trying to perfect the look! I have to say, I was super impressed with Sheila's website. Their work looked amazing! Just what I was looking for, dark, thick brows. I read the reviews and I was even more impressed and I felt comfortable letting them carve into my face. (The do not use a tattoo machine, they actually cut into your eyebrows and smear the color into it FYI) I called to book an appointment and they were so booked up I had to wait a couple of months to get in (hey I guess that's what happens when you're in demand) On my appointment day, I brought $595 cash (Yes this is how much eyebrows cost with the "natural stroke" option) I knew it was double what all the other places were charging but I didn't care because I don't compromise when it comes to my face. So I get there (street parking only) in a not good NoHo area that you wouldn't expect. I was instantly turned off and ready to cancel my appointment (the area really caught me off guard) but when I got inside the place was really nice; the staff, and Sheila, were very nice as well. So we get down to business. I can you it's painful but beauty doesn't come easy! We get done and Sheila tells me I'll need to come back in 2 weeks for the touch up. After 2 weeks go by Im definitely ready for more color! My eyebrows had some imperfections that I noticed and Sheila pointed them out as well. I told her I wanted DARK brows, much darker. My hair is dark black and I wanted my eyebrows to match. So we go for round two. Afterwards, the shape looked great and the color was pretty dark, but not as dark as I wanted. They took pictures and I went on my way. It's now been only 7 months since I've had the procedure and I've found myself back in the mirror for 20 mins each morning, with my tools, powder, pencil and putty, battling my eyebrows again! Talk about upset!!! My brows are still very light, and continued to get lighter after the procedure. I'm really upset because I've seen the other girls on their site that had practically no eyebrows just like me, and ended up with super dark lush brows. What happened? I can see "gaps" in the color that I have to fill in and they're losing their shape! I'm having to stencil them all over again!!! When you pay twice as much as everyone else is charging, you expect twice a better job! My brows didn't even last 7 months ( now I'm going to have to find another place and shell out even more money!!) They will tell you that if you have to get a touch up within a year, it's half off. I came to this place a few years ago. I had an old eyebrow tattoo that I wanted removed and get new ones. I only had one treatment of my tattoo removal done. It was done by liquid. I needed another session but I did not go back. Upon arrival, I was given a little bit of numbing cream. I realized that another girl walked in to get her eyebrows. But she was a model for them. They gave her a lot of numbing cream. I got up and asked if I could have more because it was barely enough for one eyebrow. I was told that should be enough. Well, during the process I had to stop the lady because it was too painful. Automatically my eyes teared up. I then realized that they treat their models way differently. They use those pictures instead of real clients. I didn't feel like they care enough. They never even bothered to call me and ask why I didn't come for my second treatment. I honestly already a 1st bad experience and didn't trust them to do my eyebrows. Upon reading the reviews recently, because I'm still looking for a place. They seem to leave tails on peoples eyebrows. Most pictures are of models which the owner personally does. I don't think the other girls are very experienced. From what I saw and heard while I was there. As well, the responses to the bad reviews are incredibly. No customer service. That makes me stay away. I called months in advance to book a color boost appointment during the time is be visiting in California and they were full. Several years ago Sheila tattooed my lips. They swelled up and were huge and very painful afterwards they were also covered by painful bumps. I had to go to a dermatologist who did a biopsy and said the tattoo artist used unclean equipment and gave me a massive infection. I had to get a prescription to counter act the damage. I also had to book a follow up visit with the doctor to make sure they were healing. I had had lip tattoo decades before by a woman who moved away. Since I couldn't go to her I went to Sheila. The previous tattoo woman I used kept stressing that the equipment must be sterilized before use. Sheila had no sterilization equipment. Please stay away from her. read more

Now let's talk about actual services rendered. DO NOT TRUST SNAP OR IG. I supposedly went to one of the best people there and she totally messed up my brows in every way possible, from shape (two sides are different), color ( I have TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT COLORS in my brows ) and pain (she didn't make sure I was numb the first time and was EXTREMELY rough). This review is for my overall experience last month. I would like to say that, even before my appointment, I already appreciated the communication and accommodation that the front desk offered. I had scheduled an appointment with a certain artist of theirs. But unfortunately, that artist had a last minute family emergency. The front desk was able to let me know ahead of time & instead of re-scheduling me on a different day, they were able to offer the option of choosing different artists that very same day & hour. And that is when I met Alisa. Alisa is very friendly and comfortable to be around. She had a very confident, yet humble personality. Since Alisa was very attentive to my questions and concerns, she was able to re-shape my desired shape in just one try. From that point on, I knew my eyebrows were in the good hands of an expert artist. With experience of being a nurse myself, I can attest that Sheila Bella does practice clean, safe and sterile methods. They do open the micro-needle for blading right in front of you before starting the procedure. Also, a great bonus to know that Alisa is an RN. No wonder she is patient and great with client-care! As you can see from my before and after picture, there is a beautiful and drastic change. My eyebrows are defined, prominent with shaping my whole face. I took the Microblading Plunge and it has been the best decision I have made. I've had such a wonderful experience at Sheila Bella and I hope my review helps you make the best decision for yourself as well. Upon arrival I was greeted by the wonderful receptionist women. They took some before photos and then walked you through the paperwork. While filling out the paperwork, my brow artist Stephanie came over to meet me and was so wonderful that she took time to come and introduce herself before the process started. It took me a long time to write this, I got my eyebrows done here 3 years ago. Went here thinking it would be amazing but turned out a nightmare. The person who did my eyebrows was going TOO DEEP into my skin. I had to stop her multiple times to take a break & was on the verge of tears. Everyone else who was getting it done seemed ok so I thought it was just me being sensitive. Nope I should of trusted my gut and when you start there's no going back. So I finished the process in a ton of pain. My eyebrows faded in about a year, the color turned RED. Not to mention I have permanent scaring on my eyebrows from the girl going too deep into my skin. I recently just had mine redone at another place that gave me hope again on Microblading. NOW my eyebrows look like how they should of the first time. It's taken me about 2 years to post this review and I wish I would have done it sooner. I was convinced this was the place to get microblading. It's probably because of the owners social media and how great they use it. Beware of that. Unfortunately this(I'll attach photos) is how my eyebrows turned out. They are SO uneven. One is lower while the other is higher. One has a higher arch than the other. They tell you that your eyebrows are sisters but not twins so don't expect them to be but my eyebrows were terrible from the beginning. The "artist" I was stuck with was nice at the beginning but had a difficult time shaping my eyebrows but I thought they wouldn't stick someone inexperienced to do such a big procedure on you(I mean this shapes your entire face!). I was wrong. At first, I contacted the office. They said the artist would get back to me and fix it. They never got back to me. I had to call several times and finally resorted to Instagram where I contacted Sheila Bella herself. She also said she would get back to me. A few weeks go by and I contacted her again. She tells me my artist will be contacting me. She finally contacts me with an attitude. I tell her I feel my eyebrows are so uneven and it's starting to really annoy me. They promise to fix it. I make an appointment and hoping it's a different artist so maybe she will see the difference and help remedy the situation. No, I get stuck with the same girl. They even ask for you to pay $200 for another artist. You think they would be nice enough to have a second pair of eyes to fix the mistake but no, they just want your money. She literally just went over them. She didn't bother to fix a single stroke. So I finally gave in and let it go. I've been walking around with these uneven eyebrows for probably two years now in hopes that they lighten and I have them fixed by another establishment. Ladies, do your research. I went to Sheila Bella in January 2015 when she was one of the most popular microblading artists in LA at that time at least on Instagram. This was my first time doing this and I was going because my natural brows of coarse were very thin and sparse. The experience itself was very very painful I had to keep talking tons of breaks and I was bleeding a lot she was definitely going extremely deep. Her commentary towards it was your just sensitive this isn't normal to bleed a lot. Etc She recommended that because my brows weren't symmetrical she needed to completely wax my right brow off and microblade above it on my forehead to make them even. I figured she was the professional and let her do her thing. Not really thinking about all the long term effects. Since then I have had a BOTCHED right eyebrow with no hair :( and because that is forhead skin with more oils than the eyebrow follicle area I haven't been able to keep the ink to stay long. I have since found a great microblading artist who tried to fix the color, size, shape etc which she had got it to definitely looked a bit better it still doesn't last long in result and I wake up with no right brow just a bit of messy looking faded ink. Sad story! Very depressing. Yesterday I had to get A "eyebrow transplant" done which was very very pricey and painful . To try and fix this issue Sheila Bella caused me.. to plant in real hairs from my head to recreate a real eyebrow with hair. In all she took off 1 of my real brows, created a terrible shape and color and caused a lot of deep scar tissue from how deep she went in on my brow.. For those who are on the fence about Microblading.... PLEASE MAKE NOTE: Microblading is an ART! RESEARCH your artist before booking an appointment! I chose my artist carefully; Rovelyn is not only a skilled technician, but she is also a highly sought out professional makeup artist, which was a PLUS for me because in the beauty industry, EXPERIENCE trumps credentials, hands down. Fortunately, Rov has both! Anyone can call themselves an "artist" nowadays, but the true test is in their work! I've been in the beauty industry for over 10 years and trust me when I say, BOOK WITH ROVELYN! She is remarkably talented and has that natural "flick of the wrist" that your brows will appreciate. I came in to see Rovelyn on Sunday, 10/30/16 for the microblading procedure. When I arrived, I was kindly greeted by staff and was asked to review and complete paperwork which detailed EVERYTHING about the procedure, including what to expect before and after. I highly advise that you read each document slowly and carefully so that you fully understand the process. It is important to note that: This is a 2-3 step process so DO NOT freak out if you don't get your desired results after your first appointment! Relax, Breathe, and be patient. THIS PROCESS TAKES TIME and as long as you understand this, you should not be disappointed. My eyebrows have never been a problem, but they required at least 5 minutes of pencil and gel every morning to reach its "fleekness". After years of overplucking and many failed attempts to grow my brows back, microblading quickly became my everlasting solution! With that said (and in spite of many hours of research for the perfect artist), I was still a NERVOUS wreck! Enhancing my brows would save me a lot of time, BUT... what if i didn't like them? What if I end up with Instagram brows? What if they're too dark or make me look to masculine? What if the shape isn't complementary to my face structure? The worry and stress was driving me batshit crazy! I prayed ****Please God... let her give me full and soft brows....please!***** I explained my many concerns to Rovelyn and told her I do not want "instagram brows". I also told her that i do not want my brows to look super symmetrical or too perfect. I know there are people who like that look, but i am not one of them. If they look too perfect, they're probably fake so i'll stick to the old adage that, "Eyebrows are sisters, not twins!" :) Rovelyn not only LISTENED, she immediately knew what i was talking about and assured me that she would not give me that "look". Rovelyn designed my brows using the "golden ratio" which is genius bc that is the ratio i use when filling in my own brows. Before she continued, she asked for my input AND approval of my brow design. Lucky for me, she designed my desired brow on her first try! Woo hoo! Just as I expected! Makeup skills on POINT! (Lord, thank you!) Once i approved her design and the color pigment, she proceeded with the microblading procedure. She was extremely descriptive with each step she performed, which definitely put my nerves at ease. She used a NEW and packaged microblading hand tool (disposed after every client) with a fine needle grouping to etch tiny hairstrokes into my brow to attain the most realistic brow application. I'm not gonna lie... the first pass of microblading strokes stung like a b***, but it was totally bearable. I'd say the level of pain is similar to getting your brows waxed or threaded FOR THE FIRST TIME. LOL. After the first pass, Rovelyn applied a stronger numbing cream to prepare me for the second pass. The second pass of microblading was quick and painless. Whew! More pigment was applied and shortly after I was cleaned up and ready for the REVEAL! All i could say was WOW! I couldn't stop staring at my brows! Rovelyn gave me EXACTLY what I wanted. a natural, soft, and full brow that will be semi-permanently on FLEEK! YESSS! I could not be happier. THANK YOU ROVELYN! I'm a bit reluctant to write this review as I still have to go back for a THIRD appointment to get my brows fixed. I've been in twice and have been morbidly depressed both times I left. I want to cry every time I look at my brows. What is even more sad about this situation is how OTHER PEOPLE can notice how uneven they are. My manicurist pointed it out to me. :( My brows do not look remotely CLOSE to what is advertised on their Instagram. Maybe it's because I took the offer of their discounted price of $695 (they're normally $995). My brows were NOT "artistically directed" by Sheila, nor have I ever seen her. I'm not sure if you have to be a friend/model/actress to have the results that are displayed on their Instagram. The facility is really nice and they offer valet, since there's virtually no parking. The girls that work there are REALLY nice, maybe too nice. Always complimenting you, "OMG, your brows look so good." Lone behold, I'm on my way home driving to San Diego and my results DO NOT LOOK SO GOOD. FIRST VISIT: I was there a total of almost 4 hours. It's a bit of a process for them to draw on the brows that you want. So each time, they have to draw it on, wipe it off. That alone was probably about 1.5hours. Then the "microblading" starts. It hurts like a BITTCH. Maybe I didn't get enough numbing. But anyways, it takes the process about 3 times, blading, then setting the color, then blading again. Every time I looked at my brows, something was always "off" about it and I let her know my criticism. Areas weren't filled in, parts that were obvious that I can't believe she didn't notice it. It was about 6:40pm after my 3rd blading process. I was in pain, tired, and I was just over being there. My brow "artist" said it might look weird right now because it was swollen. I agreed and went home. I got home and just knew immediately they were completely uneven. I was so unhappy and EMBARRASSED after my first session, I couldn't even take a picture of them. During my healing process, my brows became completely blotchy and uneven. I noticed that she even messed up on a hair stroke on my left brow, and therefore, making my arch look uneven. I left a comment on one of their Instagram videos about how my brows look nothing like their videos. They called me immediately to try to make me feel better that it takes about the 2-3 sessions for it to be "perfected". SECOND VISIT: I let her know my concerns. I also pointed out that hair stroke on my left brow that brings down my arch, and she didn't do anything about it, nor addressed it. (I think she knows she messed up and I can't really remove it, since this is permanent). She said, "Oh, it looks like theres a few hairs that you'll have to pluck." NO, it's not hairs I have to pluck... they're strokes that you messed up on!! I kept insisting that my right brow was higher than my left, but she didn't really do anything about it. She just said, "Oh, well you have a year to come back and fix it". I live all the way in San Diego, and frankly I don't have all the time in the world to come back here to get my brows fixed all the time. If you would just do it right the first time, it would save MY time AND yours. I'm truly devastated about my whole experience here thus far, as I was so excited to finally have eyebrows. I had told SO many people that I was coming here to get it done, that it's upsetting I have to leave this less than stellar review. I had my brows done here about 6 months ago. I was very excited because I believed all the hype. Needless to say I ended up with a solid line for an eyebrow on the right side, nothing like the claimed "hair strokes." I called to complain and returned for my second visit traveling from the Las Vegas area once again. When I arrived I asked to speak to the owner and requested that she do the touch up. She said she would not do it and to have the original person do my touch up. She also told me the results were my fault and not the fault of the "artist." She claimed that's just how my skin healed. I would have bought that excuse if both of my eyebrows had solid lines that looked like a bad tattoo gun job. However I believe the "artist" tattooed too deep on that brow. My "artist" decided to add white strokes to the line, however that didn't help. Needless to say, she made my brow worse. Now I'm stuck with a solid line and on the second round she added more strokes bringing my arch downwards. Yayyyy! Wait time is usually 15-20 min at the front and then another 20 minutes inside where they apply the numbing cream. My eyebrows are very light and over plucked so I need to put powder on it everyday to make it look more natural. I stumbled upon Sheila Bella on IG and looking through all the B&A photos made me want to call & set the appf. I originally had my eyebrows done in Nov 2014 (my eyebrows was dark from the tint of color), and according to them, I must return 1-2 more times to get the desired color. I came back within a month for some correction as well as color touch up (my right was thicker than the left. I then came 2 months after again for touch up (at some point, I keep wondering why the color fades very quickly, but I thought maybe because it hasn't fully healed) and correction (now she keps on adding one more hair stroke after the other and it eventually turned out slightly thicker than the other and the other one was longer while the left one was shorter. I really wanted this corrected but I was so afraid it might turn out even worse. Christina was my artist, she's very nice, however, she's always taking calls while working on clients (I've witnessed & I myself have experienced)... I don't know if this alone can have an impact on the outcome of the artist's lack of attention to details (this happened in all my appointments when she would be on the phone). Throughout the time, I would touch base via email or even leave voicemails regarding my concern but I never received a call back anymore! Just shortly after 7 months, the color became lighter and started to fade ... Now I don't know how to fix or make it even. I don't want to return to her and have her do more damage. As of right now, I just apply powder again to even them out. I called to find it regarding a touch up & the lady on the phone advised if it was within a year, it'll be 30% off and during 2nd year, 20%, but since I don't want to return to my precious artist, she says I must pay $100 fee to switch artists. In this case, they leave you with no options but to return to previous artist (who messed up eyebrows) or pay more! Very wrong. ------------------------------------------------------ In response to the comment, Yes, you do not ask but upon me paying you did mention when checking in & leaving a comment, I get a $10 off! As for the eyebrows, obviously you must charge nor did I mention it should be free, but as for the quality... It was promising enough that it should last for the duration of time as you say but sadly, it hasn't even reached few months period and it is already fading. I would love to get it fixed but obviously I need to wait for it to thoroughly fade because Christina kept putting adding and adding to a point now that its so close to one another!!! It has been a little over a year since Sheila tattooed my eyebrows. I am now finally able to have laser tattoo removal of her work, which sucks because in the process I lose my real hair. With laser tattoo removal, I still do have to wait for re-do of permanent brow makeup. Sheila charged me $325.00 for the 1st session and then another $350.00 for the end session. ...She has you draw on your own brows so that later, she could tattoo your drawing... It was a very painful procedure. Her needle went so deep into my brow bone that it actually scared in some places!!! I regret ever Googling "permanent makeup." Her website seemed so organized and perfect, I figured she was awesome! BTW: If you ask her for photos of her most recent work, she will show you all of the photos she already has on her website. FYI: Her website has been up for over 5 years......... FACT: The business began by her aunt who took sheila into her wing and taught sheila a few techniques. FACT: Still to this day, sheila does not know how to do the vietnamese airbrush technique for brows........ really FACT: Still to this day, sheila refuses to do the "cat eye" permanent eye liner......hmm FACT: sheila has great marketing skills, she promotes her own face. FACT: sheila denies ever having permanent makeup done by anyone else than herself. she swears it. FACT: ask any permanent makeup artist and they will tell you tattooing yourself is impossible. FACT: sheilas permanent makeup clients are all "practice" clients. when you ask her where she got her education she will tell you, it has been handed down from generations... I payed $650.00 for sheilas sloppy botched child crayon drawings. So that I could end up SCARRED and with BLACK EYEBROWS!!! Everyone thinks that I tattooed them purposely like that?! WTF All this so that NOW, I can enjoy the PAINFUL procedure of having laser tattoo removal which BTW, is another $600.00 for 3 sessions.... ~~~~~~~DON'T FALL FOR THE WEBSITE~~~~~~~~ None of the pictures posted are of HER actual work. Don't be fooled into becoming her "practice" client. Ask for her aunt, (which you sometimes see cleaning and organizing) If she will do the actual work. It has been over a year that I had my eyebrow tattooed by sheila. I have been very depressed and patiently waiting for them to heal so that I can laser them off. My eyebrows now look worse than my initial pictures, which I was also unhappy with. I paid over $700 for the hair stroke technique, which is not what I received. There are no lines, just color like a regular ass tattoo. My 1st touch up is today, but I have no clue what can be done to fix them. From what Sheila Bella advised, they can try adding color that is close to my skin tone. Which I will absolutely not do. One because I don't want zebra brows, and two, because the color I received is already different that what I was promised, so there's no telling what random color they'd try to add. This has been a horrible experience so far. I truly believed my eyebrows would look like the ones they post on the Instagram page. I'll take a picture before my touch up. Right now, I still color in my eyebrows just as I normally did prior to getting this procedure done, however now it takes twice as long since I have to take the time to make them match one another. read more

I personally did not get what I paid for, my brows do not look like hair strokes as promise. They blend and look like a regular cheap brow tat. I had such high hopes and would have paid any price for the brows Sheila display proudly in her shop and social media. I draw my brows on every day. Im sure Sheila and her team do a great job but not all techs have the same experience. They should have at least 3 to 5 years experience before they are able to charge what they charge. The one thing I am grateful for is the fact that my brows are not as dark as others. I am able to draw them in. Ive also met several clients and i get mixed reviews from all of them. Attach is a photo. Sad i didn't get what I paid for. I got 2 touch ups and each time I came in, there were new techs, there were originally 2 techs, Sheila and Christina with a small waiting area in the room (Feb2015) then they added 2 new techs within 2 months (April, 2015) and now there are over 5 to 6 techs within a year (Jan, 2016)...so beware of the techs experience. read more

It has been two days since I had my brows done and I cannot tell you enough how happy I am with them. Here is the breakdown. I communicated with the Sheila Bella team for my appointment. We discussed on the phone, received an email with thorough instructions and expectations, and received appointment reminder text message. I seriously was nervous. I have very sensitive skin and I do not have any tattoos. Every step of the way, the Sheila Bella team was very calming and accommodating. The initial drawing of my brows were done and tweaked to my preference. I have naturally very thin sparse brows. I also have a chicken pox scar from childhood in my right brow. We discussed the expectation of the scarred portion since scars take microblading different than regular skin. So far so good! Make up will not stay on that scar so I am pleased to see that the microblading has helped conceal it. Lidocaine was placed on each brow to help with the pain. The greatest part of the communication with Sheila was when I became uncomfortable. She immediately picked up on the pain I was feeling and gave me more lidocaine when I needed it. She was very patient with me when I asked for breaks. Sheila always reassured me that how I was feeling was normal. I felt like she was my cheerleader the entire time! Thanks girl!!!! Afterwards all my questions were answered and I was given a kit with instructions and grapeseed oil to take home. I took before, during, and after photos. There were other ladies there that flew in from Texas just for their brows! You can tell the staff are all happy to be there and are good friends, which is always a great sign. The ambiance is lovely. It is an open bay salon which was really nice to see the other ladies getting their brows done. They also play music videos on the TV in the room. The salon itself is very clean and way bigger than expected. Another plus is their valet parking. I originally parked a few blocks down and the valet gentlemen went and got my car for me. I love this place!!!! I came here about 2 months ago and just recently finished my second touch up on my eye brows. Soooooo happy with the results!!! I can't believe how natural they look. I work out at a jiu Jitsu gym. It's a contact sport with lots of body to body contact, and rolling around. I wear little make up on my brows. Over the years they thinned out, I guess from over tweezing and waxing. So by the end of class I look crazy!! My boyfriend says I look Philippines! (Which means fresh off the boat). So I turned to Sheila!!! I was worried at first how they would look like after they healed. The staff is so informative and helpful. Sheila makes it painless!! I had the pleasure of getting my brows done by Sheila Bella herself a few years back. What a difference it has made for my face!! I let my brows grow out for a few weeks to ensure I got the fullest, although I don't think that was necessary as she shaped them before beginning. The process was really seamless. I walked in, was warmly greeted, filled out some paperwork, took some before photos and waited a few minutes. I was then greeted by Sheila who was an absolute sweetheart. She walked me back where to where the procedure was done and begin asking what my goals were in terms of how I wanted my brows to look and if I had any inspiration pics We then started the process of coloring and shape. They are very meticulous about this as you are able to get a very clear depiction on exactly how your brows will look before they start the permanent process For me it was a bit painful even with the numbing but I'm kind of a baby when it comes to those things. After that was the healing process which if I remember correctly was either a week or two ... I then went in for my touch up I think a month later Now almost three years later and they are still in tact. However, I'm writing this review because I will now being calling to schedule my color boost and I wanted everyone to know how great it has been for the past three years having perfect full brows !! What a joy to wake up everyday with eyebrows!!! And what a SCARY investment to make but seemingly worth it! I opted to pay more ($955) and see Sheila rather than a different staff member. $100 more would have gotten me numbing cream but I thought heck, I've had my lips filled once upon a time and survived so I'll be fine. I especially decided against the numbing cream when I realized they provided a lower grade numbing cream included in the cost. In retrospect, it IS very painful but Sheila performs the task very quickly so it's definitely bearable. Note: I came in with my eyebrows completed and drawn in the best I could do with the intention Sheila would see them. The assistant did a take a photo though I wasn't informed in advance I would have to remove them and have that numbing cream applied. Once 30ish minutes passed and she was ready to see me she told me to pencil them in again so she could build off them. I really wish the staff had shared these steps so I wouldn't have wasted my time in the morning. I felt kinda flustered doing them as she waited BUT once dealing with Sheila it was clear to see that she has a VERY exceptional talent at assessing and creating the best look for ones face. I don't know what's supposed to come in the initial appointment confirmation email but I never got it because the staff misunderstood the spelling on my name. At the end of the appointment when you pay there is an option to tip, which I did but I wasn't sure initially if that would come up. You don't tip for Botox or laser typically so I didn't know what "rules" apply for permanent makeup. 10% is costly for $1000 but I did since the option was there and I want to maintain a good relationship. She built off what I started with but made them thicker than I would have used a pencil for but assured me it would look natural. I took my friend with me cause I was terrified but between the both of them staring at me saying to trust the process I finally relaxed and moved forward. She uses a little pencil like tool and scrapes the lines into your skin. No tattoo machine. You can hear each line being scraped. That said, totally worth it. They say the brows are darker for the first few days... I actually hope that they don't lighten much because I LOVED the color she recommended and that I initially left with. She chooses what matches your natural brow hairs (the few I have). I can say I LOVE her shape, size and color judgement! I'm SOOO difficult too... I sat there for a good 5 minutes just making terrible faces to make sure the brow placement was perfect. Anywho, finished product for day one literally made me cry because I was so elated with the results. 5 days later... I've been traveling for work and need to call the staff back. They called me a couple days ago to see how everything was, which was very nice. I feel a little panicky as the "scabs" come off... I can see gaps. Sheila and the staff do warn of this though in the moment you don't think much because it initially looks so perfect. As I wipe Aquafore off I see pieces of lines/scabs come off and I see I have tiny little gaps. You can't tell at all from a distance but I'm just really judgmental of details on my face. Also, a couple (literally) lines seem too think but it's too early to judge those. I feel like I might be too impatient to wait nearly two months for a touch up. After being paranoid and reading a ton of reviews... It's VERY common/likely that brows aren't perfected until the second visit but I think that didn't really sink into my brain until now as an afterthought. Regardless of all tiny details, I'm so happy I found Sheila. She's super talented and sweet. I'm extremely picky and judgmental that I was terrified but now I'm just really happy. Here's my positive experience in detail: I always had ugly brows. They were so thin and misshapen. It took me years before I finally found this place. I was drawn to pics on their site promising the look of natural brows. So I called..texted to schedule my appt. for 1 month later. The place is in a weird part of town, but don't judge a book by its cover. They have valet, he is so nice! I gave him a big tip. Inside, it's so pretty! Someone put numbing cream on me & 30 mins later I meet Maegan. So she spends like 1.5 hours drawing my brows to my liking, it took a long time because my brows were such a mess! The procedure begins, it hurt..a lot. I thought I was gonna pass out. But I made it. I had eyebrows! And they were close to perfection. I was told not to get them wet for 5 days & apply aquaphor morning & night. I was surprised..shocked at how quickly the pigment came off. So much so that I called with worry a week later, but I was reassured that it is normal and the touch up would correct any imperfections. I was still pretty happy because my brows still had a nice shape to it. I filled in the gaps for the next few weeks. 1 month later, I had my 1st touch up. I told Maegan that it hurt the first time. So after she drew in the shape, she made sure to numb my brows up real good! It didn't hurt at all, so make sure you speak up!! Maegan is amazing! She is friendly. Stephanie was my artist, and I had a fantastic experience with her. My favorite part was the designing process, where you create the shape of your brows. I had very little hair and half of it was light blond, so being able to choose exactly what I always wanted them to look like was a miracle. It hurt more than I expected it to, but I'm also a huge baby, and it was over very quickly. Just adding that as a gentle warning.
