We did the Moon Canyons and Cathedral Canyons, and honestly...why is this not on everyone's list?? For like $5 (Nevada resident win), you get access to these insane slot canyon formations that feel like you're walking through another planet. The further you go in, the better it gets, not just visually, but temperature-wise too. It was still in the 90s outside, but inside the canyons it was actually COOLER, which felt like a luxury at that point in our trip. We basically spent the whole time weaving through these super-narrow canyon passages and just being in awe the entire time. At the visitor center, we realized this is basically the thing Cathedral Gorge is known for, and it makes total sense. The slot canyons alone are worth the stop. We didn't even do much else in the park, but honestly, we didn't feel like we needed to. 10/10 recommend. Hidden gem. Easily one of the best surprises of the whole camping era so far.

Just outside of the little town of Panaca, NV, this is a really fun little side naturally wonder to…read moresee. There are moon slots that you can walk and sometimes squeeze in between the walls. A little hiking up can also be done but be careful. If you knock on the walls of this place it has a hollow sound so walking on top of these natural structures might give way. $10.00 for a non resident to park and $5.00 for Nevada residents. Don't skip out paying as they come around and check to see you have a receipt on your dashboard.

All of the camping spots are spacious, well laid out and with amazing lake views. The team here are very friendly and helpful. There's a perimeter path around the lake with benches every so often, so you can go for a walk or a cycle, or bird watching all around. There are also available restrooms sprinkled around the 'road side' of the lake. Highly recommend if you enjoy peace and quiet and being 'out in nature' - I certainly intend to return!

The slides and zip line were definite hits of the afternoon! The train wasn't running when we went (we were a few days too early) but it looks really fun! The fact the there are so many areas for all abilities was really nice! The bathrooms were pretty clean too. Plenty of parking as well. And nice that there's only one entrance so we felt safe letting grandson run around.

Fantastic park play structures. But please fix the second zip line. It's most popular attraction and many kids want yo line up to do the zipline. One is there but inoperable.

Enjoyed the majority of the time until two enormous ducks arrived expecting to be feed. They were like 40 lbs, what do people feed them? Lonny Boy's? They were wagging their tails and were surprisingly quick for their size. We moved three times and but they continued to follow us expecting their share, so we had to depart.

Popped in on my drive north to Salt Lake City to play some disc golf. An 18 hole course with a…read moremoderate play level. Lots of open shots. Some levels of difficulty, especially near the water. Saw a guy in a wet suit and flippers, diving into the water to recover discs that had fallen. I lost two discs here on hole 8. Sad day. The park itself was quiet midday when I arrived. It's well kept and maintained. The grounds keeper was onsite maintaining it during my time there.

Water is always a little cold but it's a cold u can get used too, the sun is extremely strong so it's refreshing definitely. The bathroom situation isn't the best, it's similar to porter potty, but it does the job. Shaved ice truck is passing through regularly so that was cool. Rented a boat for 2h and the boat ride was very soothing for me, enjoyed the views & my company. Definitely always a great family day here. Canams & jet skis are also available for rental here.

There is a place to eat with several picnic tables too. There are some informational signs explaining the history of the area. The landscape is red / orange and full of places to explore and hike around. There are some neat little caves, arches, and assorted nooks and crannies. Great place for everyone to enjoy. I saw families with little ones climbing and hiking, and adults of various ages traversing the rocks. There is a way to hike up to the top of the largest peak, but it is slippery getting up and down. Well Red Gigantic…read more±45k-acre conservation area that was established in 1996 and features almost 130-miles of hiking trails. We only explored a very small portion of the area as we needed to mosey on over to our final destination of Zion but it def looks like something we'd be all-over if we're in the area again. The views are spectacular but be sure to bring water, hat and sunscreen as there's not much in the way of shade--at least in the St George portion we reconnoitered. Happy hikes, kids!

A cute little park in Cailente, located behind the Knotty Pine. It has trees, grass, playground…read moreequipment, and a horseshoe area. There's also a large gazebo and picnic tables to seat several people, with an outdoor kitchen area. Essentially, you can bring your food and cook it up here with the amenities provided. There's a restroom building. The women's restroom has one stall and sink. The men's has one stall and one urinal, with sink. I imagine the locals having family reunions at this park. This park is also connected to a larger 2.35 mile walking path, which includes historic area and another park. In all, I liked this park and it seems like a great place o take your kids to play or to accommodate a group function. It's close to the highway, so if you're on a road trip consider stopping to let the kids out to let out some energy and have a picnic. Check it out!

Not too busy for a gorgeous Saturday afternoon. Plenty of beach area around the water. My kids had fun, so we'll definitely be back next time we're in the area.
