Nice spot with great access to the mountains and recreation. Unfortunately some of the cabins have issues with bed bugs. If you rent a cabin, I'd thoroughly check it before moving your luggage in so you can hopefully be moved if there is an issue. I was not going to post a review since I hoped this was an isolated incident and when I notified them they said they would look into it. But based on other reviews, this appears to be an ongoing issue. Still giving 2 stars since I think it's a good location for recreation, hunting, fishing, etc. and the RV spots won't share this issue. read more

We have been coming to Eagle Valley for years. We've camped here and stayed in the cabins. It's a 2 1/2 hour drive north of Las Vegas. Great little reservoir that they stock with trout every year. The cabins are OK they haven't been maintained that well. It's more about the experience and spending time with my boys and my dad. If you're looking for something fancy this is not the place for you. It's definitely a fisherman's paradise. The prices are very reasonable we got the "big" 2 bedroom cabin with kitchenette for $129 a night. They don't sell fishing licenses anymore but you can purchase them online with your phone. They have a full bar and a few slot machines. They have a small store that sells camping supplies, food, bait and booze. Great for a boys weekend. read more

This was our first time staying at the cabin, we always stay in the campground. THE CAMPGROUND IS A MUCH BETTER CHOICE. BEWARE of the cabins. We stayed June 2022 for two nights. The cabins ARE NOT, repeat, ARE NOT equipped with everything you need! We had to go to the bar to ask for coffee cups, the fact that there were dirty sheets and a towel left in the storage compartment of the roll out sofa bed. The sofa had not been vacuumed, we were told we would receive a $40 refund, it's been 15 days and nothing still. The first morning we woke up to what I thought was a wood tick on the sheets where my daughter and I slept (sofa bed which still hadn't been vacuumed). My daughter showed me bug bites on her feet and forearm, my friends all had bites. The owners son Jeff said more then likely the bites are from an insect coming up from the creek bed..... okay I thought no worry or panic as I didn't experience any VISABLE bites. Next more bites on the three others. Long story short, both Jill (owner) Jeff (owner's son) were notified and shown pictures of what we found before checking out June 15. Blood stains on mattress cover indicating bed bugs, we found an actual baby bed bug which was ALIVE. After doing research on these nightmare bugs, the one I thought was a tick was a full grown bed bug! I had killed it the first day and a little blood came out, its body was flat so no telling if it had a chance to feed. Three or four days later after scratching in several places, scabs appears and it is evident that I too was bitten, I just didn't have the reaction everyone else did. Cabin C was full of bed bugs. You are better off at the campsite which is a great place, been going there since 1989. read more

We brought our three kids here and had an amazing weekend. After reading the positive and negative reviews, I have come to the following conclusion: If you are expecting the services and amenities of a big city hotel then you will be disappointed. However, if your primary purpose is to get away from the city to spend time outdoors while fishing, hiking, riding atv's etc then you will love this place. My wife and I hate camping. Our three kids (10,7 and 3 yrs old) have been begging us to go camping. We booked a cabin and convinced our kids we were camping. No tent, no sleeping bags, nice heater, warm shower, a toilet, and a small kitchen. It was great! We rode our atv's all weekend, saw deer, went fishing, caught a ton of small trout, looked at the stars, made a camp fire, made s'mores and did all the camping stuff without actually being cold, uncomfortable and miserable all weekend. We took the atv's to Pioche and rode the trails there then ate dinner at a restaurant in Pioche. Sure, the cabin was small. But we hardly spent any time inside the cabin all weekend. Our cabin was really clean, well maintained, and the small kitchen had everything we needed. We can't wait to come back. The kids loved it and so did my wife and I. We definitely made memories that will last a lifetime and we're very grateful for that!! I suppose it comes down to your expectations and agenda. If you basically want to go camping and do all the outdoor activities without the discomforts of actual camping then you'll love this place. read more

DIRTY! GROSS! bugs in the beds!! Cabin H NO working heater, NO worked air conditioning, 2 pillow for 4 sleeping one blanket for 2 beds! etc.. BUT we just went about our day and didn't complain..once we got home we receivEd a rude message stating they were charging an extra $50 for one dish left on stove! we called Jeff Sarzynski to speak about this. He screamed that he had to come in on his day off was very upset about that and didn't let us speak Our concerns! just told us to never come Back! I own a business, I would never treat my customers like this. We are retired Firefighter and come up to Eagle Valley all the time and tried this place for the first time! NEVER AGAIN! BUGS IN BEDS! My first inclination is to say to everyone that has given this place a bad review...... Get over yourself. This place is not a 5 star hotel, nor is it a KOA facility with rates of $99.00 per night minimum for a campsite. This place is rustic. It's literally in the middle of some of the most beautiful country in NV with Deer, Elk, Rabbits galore and abundant fish in the two nearby reservoirs. The campground is clean and fully functioning hookups but It is also a home for many permanent campers with the esthetics to go along with it. What I have to say to that is.... So what? The bar and store are incredibly clean and well maintained which came as a surprise to both my wife and I. Geoff, the bartender has a great sarcastic, sense of humor and can take a jab as good as he gets. If you are looking for a place that is a decent spot to base camp while you go out and explore the local flora, fauna and wildlife, this is the place to be. We will make this a regular stop on our camping adventures! You should too. read more

They deteriorate in some ways. The water and electric hookup was in bad shape that needed attention for repairs. My 2nd time visit. They stopped accepting Passport of America. I git trapped to pay for a poor condition environment for my RV to park. I will not come back again! read more

I just came back from a three day camping trip here and my husband and I both agreed we want to come back later in the summer. The whole reason to check places out on yelp is to figure out what to expect when you go to a place, so I'll give you the scoop. The cabins here are tiny but adequate. Ours was a 6 sleeper and we did sleep 6 comfortably. Like the other reviewer, I found the website pictures slightly deceiving. It looked from the pics as though the cabins had a stove as well as a range. Not so. The thing i saw under the range was tHe FRIDGE. So bring a couple of coolers cuz theres not a lot of space for perishables. Other than that, and the fact that you really need to stop in aliante to get groceries before coming here (or you'll be SOL cuz their grocery store doesn't have much in the way of meat to grill except hotdogs, which you have to ask for, and which cost $8!!!) I really enjoyed this place. Also remember to top off your gas here or again, SOL-ville. Theres a small lake about two or three miles down the road with small boats to rent. The guy you rent them from is named Dennis and he's a nice guy, retired from vegas, lives nearby and was so nice he wouldn't rent his boat and take our money because it was a windy day and he knew wed have no fun. So we'll do this next time hopefully. The fishing was EXCELLENT. My four year old son caught two trout and the rest of us caught enough to feed us for dinner in just a couple of hours. It was nice that the store on the camping grounds had all the fishing gear you could need including kiddie poles for pretty cheap - we paid $16 for the kids poles. They have tackle and hunting gear as well. Theres also a small bar with every spirit imaginable as well as the all-important COFFEE for a buck. And a pool table. And a couple of slot machines! Ha ha you cant get away from that, even out here in the sticks! The natural beauty out here was quite breathtaking. We saw several deer, and lots of waterfowl. If you walk around the lake you'll come to a marsh where there are many ducks, geese and heron. I saw several great blue herons as well as a beautiful black egret. The mountain views are stunning even at the campground, theres a stream you can go wading in, and tons of hiking. As we were leaving we spotted a herd of wild horses crossing the road. That was a first for me. Another thing crossed off the ol' bucket list :) The people here were extremely friendly. It was SO nice to get away from the often impersonal vegas that puts on a fake customer service smile while taking all your money. If you live in vegas, you know what i mean. I would honestly love to live out here. If you're young and entrepreneurial, or older and want to retire, this would be a great place to put a gas station, dried goods store, or a bait & tackle shop. Or a small restaurant. That'd be my only suggestion for this place: a small restaurant, so that the women who camp here can get a break from that too. In closing, this place was a far cry from a "resort", it was semi-roughing it in the cabin (they don't allow tents btw, but theres a campground down the road right near the lake), but we were CAMPING, its SUPPOSED to be that way. We spent a week here at the end of May, 2011. I'd first like to mention that I think the pictures on their web site are deceiving. What we expected from looking at the web pictures and what we found when we arrived are so totally different, I'm not sure how to describe it. The park is mostly full time residents, mostly retired gents. Many of the trailers look like they've been there for years, and will CONTINUE to be there - for years. We pulled in with our 63' of trailer'd fun and wondered if we were going to fit. We parked in front of the bar / office and later heard the folks in the bar said "Holy #%@&!" when we pulled in, wondering the same thing. As we got out of the truck, we looked around and thought, "What did we get ourselves into HERE?" Not at all what we were expecting, given the pictures we'd looked at on the web site. We got checked in and Amy led us via golf cart to our spot. There we were, in the middle of nothing but full time folks. After the usual setting up procedure, we were ready to settle in to a week of RV bliss (which we initially thought we might end in two days - ahem). The view out our dining room window was not exactly beautiful Nevada landscape. However, as we started to meet the 'neighbors', we quickly started liking this place more and more. We hit the bar every day (don't order a double martini - it's pretty spendy!) and had a beer with the locals. This turned out to be a high point of every day because we picked up a lot of local history from these guys (and gals). One of the guys even offered us some gas when we mentioned we forgot to buy extra for our ATV's when we drove into Pioche (about 20 miles away). With the price of gas these days, I was impressed by his generosity, So, after our initial 'taken aback' impression when we first arrived, we now say we WILL be back. We had a GREAT time at Eagle Valley Resort. If you're an ATV'er, there's miles and miles of back country trails to explore. And if you're into fishing (which we were not), the reservoir just down the road is (apparently) fishing heaven - see pictures on web site. Went to Eagle Valley RV park April 9-11, 2021! Had a WONDERFUL time at the RV park! Very accommodating and FRIENDLY AS YOU COULD EVER WANT! We had Space #53! We hope to get that space again when we go for a week in May! Everyone in the park was friendly! There is a reservoir to fish at not too far from the RV Park, you can go quad riding, four wheeling or just hang out at the bar! Best times I've had at a bar have all been at the Eagle Valley Resort Bar!!! It was just the best weekend we've had in a very long time! The good: The rates were pretty good. About the same rate as we paid for a room in Reno recently. We rented a small and medium cabin for two nights. The cabins at first sight are clean and cozy. They had a microwave, a cooktop, a small fridge and dishes along with walk in showers with water so hot I scalded myself when I accidentally bumped the knob. The scenery nearby is pretty and the staff and other guests were friendly. The bar was fun for all ages, with "karaoke" (singing along to youtube videos with lyrics AND vocals) Saturday night we were able to bring along our teens who were allowed to sing and play pool. Although the crowd was a little rough around the edges and may offend certain company, it was lively and a lot of fun. Fishing at Eagle Valley reservoir was good and we did see a blue heron. The bad: I found 4 bugs in the bed on the first night in cabin D. The next night we swapped, piled as many of us as we could fit in cabin G. Long story short, I left there with several bites. I got a photo of one of the bugs but it's blurry. There was a note from the resort in one of the cabins about flying bugs they called "No-see-ums" that I wish I had gotten a photo of. I suspect the resort knows about the bed bug problem and uses this as a cover. All of my bites are on parts of my body that were well covered during the day and it was quite cold for flying insects. Also, the sheets in cabin G smelled clean, the bedding in cabin D did not. After reading another review where she had bites and notified the resort with no result, I didn't bother trying to talk to them. We did leave a note in the room and may notify the Nevada Health Department per Nevada law. We travel a lot and have probably stayed in a hundred hotels and never experienced this. We had fun but would never stay in a cabin again. read more

We stayed here thinking it was a nice RV park. It's pretty run down and not maintained. The first thing you notice is that most of the people staying here have been here for years. Their travel trailers have skirts made of siding that go over the whole bottom of the them and they have huge propane tanks that residential homes have. All of the spots are on uneven gravel. Our water hook up was a large PVC pipe in the ground and the spicket was about 6 inches down and facing up. There was barely any room for your hand to turn on the water. There was also a bunch of fire ants in it so that wasn't very fun. There is not much to do at the place itself. I don't know how they call it a resort. There was free taco night and karaoke on Friday. The employees were nice though. I can say that. read more

this was the worst place ever. after being there for a few days with no working ac, no heater, bugs everywhere in room, roaming wild dogs trying to steal our food, only place settings for 3 people not 4. when we left charged us 50 dollars cleaning fee for a pan that needed to be cleaned. we called to see why they charged us extra, the trash talking piece of $$$$, Jeff sarzynski, hung up on me. do yourself a favor and do not stay here. My husband and I have been coming to Eagle Valley for 10 years now- we used to camp but now we rent the cabins at EVR. This place always has friendly staff and a decent variety of items stocked in the store. The real fun is in the bar- their old jukebox has great old country songs, they have a fun dice game and cheap drinks, and best of all they let friendly dogs hang out in the bar too! It's a good place to chat up the locals and unwind after a day of fishing. The only cons are 1) there is always inconsistency between the bartenders stories on taking debit cards- the day shift guy had 10 different stories as to why he couldn't take them today/during the day/on weekends/at the store, and then at shift change the new bartender had no problem taking debit. Kind of weird. And 2) the water in the cabins (every year) smells a little funky. Ok, a lot funky. But overall, I love this place. The quirks are among its charm. We'll continue to come here every year. read more

We stayed her before x2 was nice clean in a cabin now it's still clean but NO tv service, not even BASIC TV or CABLE SERVICE There are dirty looking trailer parks and on going construction. Dogs running around. Will stay here because drove from Vegas but only to rest and checking out in the morning. Told us the Direct tv service was supposed to come 2 WEEKS ago but still have nor shown up yet. Not an excuse. Check before coming a long way if you desire the basic amenities of a rented cabin motel or hotel. The fishing was great the last time but will let you know. We left the same day. Refused to give CASH PAYMENT, NASTY PEOPLE RUNNING THE PLACE. DON'T STAY THERE. Relocated to another hotel on Main Street. Wow what a difference. Fishing in Echo Valley recreation awesome. read more

We arrived to nothing but kindness. They treated us like we had been coming here for years. We will definitely be back. Eagle Valley Resort is a fun lil resort with all the amenities for a fun weekend. There is RV spots, a general store, full bar, pool table, slot machines,bands on occasion and a laundry facility. There are approx a dozen individual cabins and one for large groups. All with grills etc. The resort is located just a few miles south of Spring Valley State Park where there is a lake with a boat launch for fishing, kayaking and some good ol fun! There is a picnic/grill area as well that is very clean and has clean restrooms and a fish cleaning station. If there is no room at the Eagle Resort Spring Valley offers camping right across the street from the lake with showers included for approx 15$. There is beautiful wildlife and hiking opportunities as far as the eye can see. I highly recommend a hike thru the creek and the 4 mile loop out in Spring Valley at the historic house site. I def recommend checking this area out, I plan to return soon. P.S. the Eagle Valley Resort seemed to be on the market- I just may have found my next en-devour. ;) read more

Recently spent the night and woke up with bed bug bites all over my body - spoke w/front desk and the only thing they said they would do is put me in a different cabin. They wouldn't refund money and the owner wouldn't speak to me. Sorry, but this place is 15 miles east of Pioche. To say it is in Pioche is misleading. The spaces are basically dirt. The only reason to visit this park is the bar. You want a classic wild west honky tonk bar, this is the place. I can not remember when I had so much fun at a bar!! A definite adult park, the kids would be bored. read more

We just purchased a brand new trailer and wanted to take it to Eagle Valley for the maiden voyage. However, 3 days prior to leaving, the weather report showed 60 - 80% chance of rain for the weekend. Not wanting to deal with the rain and mud our first time out, we changed our minds about the trip. I called to verify the cancellation policy 4 days prior and was told we could cancel as long as it was 48 hours prior to arrival date. Looked at the weather report the next day and it was still not promising so I again called to cancel our reservation (more that 48 hours prior to arrival), and was told we couldn't have our money refunded! Apparently special event weekends are non-refundable. Now if that were true, then why wasn't I told that during the first phone call?? I'm very disappointed in the management's decision and will NEVER make a reservation at Eagle Valley RV Park again. There a too many choices in NV, AZ and UT to go camping for a long weekend to make guests angry...it's really not about the money, it's about customer satisfaction and this place is a huge FAIL!!! read more

Upon viewing their website, I reserved a cabin for 3 days and paid in advance. Upon arrival I found the cabin to be totally different than pictured. It was buggy, dirty and not even near what was pictured and advertised. If you chose to eat, it would be outside on the dirt using a dirty picnic table. The bedding appeared dirty and the 3 burner stove only had one burner working, if you had a match to light it. The flatware drawer was dirty and had dead bugs in it and definitely insufficient flatware for more than 2 people although it was advertised for 4. Needless to say, I wouldn't submit my family to this environment, however they refused to return any of my money. read more

Cute little cabin. But I don't think they washed the sheets or blankets for probably a month. I had to clean the toilet before my daughter could use it. I asked for fresh blankets and got 3 that had hair all over them. I don't think the fan has ever been cleaned. It was packed with dust. I would sleep in a tent next time. read more

The cabins are smaller than the pictures on the website "show." The fully functional kitchen is not fully functional. Most of the utensils/kitchen wear were either gone or broken. There were only two of us staying in the cabin and we couldn't even cook an egg because there were no spatulas and the pan burned anything you put in it, even with the fire on low. The water heater didn't work for our cabin. For the two of us combined we maybe got 1 total minute of lukewarm water before it turned to freezing. It didn't warm up when we waited and tried again either. It was not worth $82. I wouldn't have been as disappointed if it was for $40. I would not recommend staying here at all. read more
