Great place. A hidden gem for sure. Also has aspects that are unknown and interesting.

Very helpful and courteous check-in which included a mini store. Breakfast was included, but it basically was anything out of the mini store for example frozen breakfast burritos, etc. so instead of using our breakfast tokens for something like that we got a pizza that we enjoyed for dinner the night that we arrived. Very beautiful surroundings and the night sky was unbelievable. Pictures do not convey the gorgeous night sky. They turned all the lights out at 10 PM and it was absolutely gorgeous. Had to travel down a gravel road to get to the hotel but it was well-maintained.

The suite was very, very clean. The grounds were well maintained with a family of deer and turkey! The gravel road to get into the canyon would be easier to travel with a high clearance vehicle. Don't count on cell phone service while you're there, but you won't need it. Plenty of space to lounge, swim, or walk the grounds. The scenery is beautiful. Loved watching the sunrise and sunset here. They also have a great selection of food, drinks, and other items at their market. Loved staying here!

Baker NV is a small town - 65 miles from the nearest grocery store. There are a couple risky dink motels in Baker. Or else you need to stay in Ely, 65 miles away, and also just a few risky dink motels. Though they have groceries. There is not a Ritz Carleton within 500 miles, never mind a Holiday Inn Express or Motel 6 May we introduce the Getaway Cabin. The closest you can find to the park. About 1/4 mile from GBNP visitor center and 5 miles from Lehman Caves visitor center. As other reviewers have said- a single cabin, sleeps 4, 5 if it's warm and you can utilize the twin bed on the sleeping porch. Found this place via yelp. Thank you Yelp!

It's greatest asset is not having to put up with noised motel room neighbors and it is literally down the street from the park entrance. The owner, Reita, is a lovely woman who will make sure you have everything you need. If you forgot something, she'll have it for sure. Her husband, Chuck, is also a real friendly guy and is fun to chat with. The cabin is on their property and while it is showing its age, it is kept clean (the carpeting in the bathroom took me by surprise and made me not want to walk on it with bare feet). While it is advertised to sleep seven, I wouldn't recommend attempting that. The space is simply too small to make for a pleasant stay with that many people in one space. It's perfect for 2 or 3 or (maybe) 4.

If you rent a cabin, I'd thoroughly check it before moving your luggage in so you can hopefully be moved if there is an issue. I was not going to post a review since I hoped this was an isolated incident and when I notified them they said they would look into it. But based on other reviews, this appears to be an ongoing issue. Still giving 2 stars since I think it's a good location for recreation, hunting, fishing, etc. and the RV spots won't share this issue.

Great little reservoir that they stock with trout every year. The cabins are OK they haven't been maintained that well. It's more about the experience and spending time with my boys and my dad. If you're looking for something fancy this is not the place for you. It's definitely a fisherman's paradise. The prices are very reasonable we got the "big" 2 bedroom cabin with kitchenette for $129 a night. They don't sell fishing licenses anymore but you can purchase them online with your phone. They have a full bar and a few slot machines. They have a small store that sells camping supplies, food, bait and booze. Great for a boys weekend.
