Impressive and relatively new winery in Walla Walla. The place would fit right in if it was in California or some other large wine region. Tasting room is huge and modern with floor to ceiling windows and a gorgeous view of the farmlands and Blue Mountains. There's also several lovely outside spaces. Service is friendly, yet formal with some great descriptions of the wines and their origins. Wines were all very nice. I especially liked the Syrah - we bought a 2020 and a 2021 Syrah for the anticipation of a vertical tasting some day. We ended up buying four bottles, waiving the tasting fees. Will definitely come here again - it's especially nice if you pair it with one of the many smaller wineries in Walla Walla to get the full range of experiences.

Service was great and informative. We made our own flight and boy do you need a driver. Bought both an ice wine(fantastic) and a poet with great bubbles. Beautiful view and clean and open tasting room. 10/10 we will be back

This was the best wine experience we have ever had in our life! OMG! The swivel seats melted us like butter. The wine was out of this world incredible. The grounds are majestic, stunning, beautiful and you literally have stepped into a fairytale here. This is the place you take your Mother too! The staff.... omg, let's talk about it. The female manager - I didn't get her name -- is incredible. The is setting up tables and working herself to the bone: hauling, bending, lifting, lugging stuff- all while smiling! I can tell she loves her job. She offered to take me in in a golf cart, in my silk sundress, down to see the baby goats! WHAT? How sweet was that! It didn't work out but the offer was worth mentioning here as it really made my day. We met everyone there and they are so unpretentious and down to earth in this uber classy, fancy, beautiful, high-end joint! : ) Our server Mike (with the Santa Fe Trail tie) was such a WONDERFUL human being. With each pour, I felt like he was St. Peter standing there at the Pearly Gates, with the keys to let me in. Haha! He knows his wines. He made us laugh all day -- he kept our seats for us while we went down to the grass to play a round of corn hole. He also kept the pours pouring! We shared stories about wine and life and he helped make this experience our favorite Walla Walla wine experience ever! What a joyful happy beautiful place this is! Mike was like a celebration we didn't even know we needed! You need to make a reservation ASAP and get your sweet self to this amazing slice of paradise!

The winery itself is stunning, with jaw-dropping views! What a special location. The facility design is something straight out of Architectural Digest. Echolands Winery was the perfect venue to host an event (that was for a wonderful cause). The atmosphere was electric with an epic 80s party vibe. The food was delicious, and the wine was outstanding. The outdoor seating was so comfortable as we took in the views while the sun began to set. The owner gave us a tour of the facility and I could not have been more impressed. Looking forward to taking my future guests there for an unforgettable wine tasting experience!

Echoland is one of the most beautiful wineries I've ever seen. The tasting room is a modern open space with glass walls from the ceiling to the floor so that you can enjoy the gorgeous rolling hills around you. Remember that this winery has only been open since 2018, so they will continue to expand as they own over 300 acres. The wine you taste now, in 2025, is the one the owner created since its beginnings in 2018. The owner is a Master Somali and a winemaker. I am correct; the owner has a new winemaker working with their grapes, so what comes after this might differ. When you walk in, you are greeted by one of the four Soms and given a rosé tasting as they walk you to your seat. Full disclosure: My husband and I prefer lighter wines in general unless, for me, it is winter, but we know that this area is known for its reds, and we can taste anything, so we will see how it goes. We were lucky enough to sit in the green, swivel comfy chairs at the windows because there were just two of us for our tasting. We decided to get one of the tastings, as there are three in each tasting, so we could try all six of their wines. Tim, who was very knowledgeable and friendly, guided us through our wines. My husband selected Hills and Stones, which was the tasting of the lighter reds. The first two reds are even chilled. The first was called the Cinsault McKinnley, Grenache, and Syrah; of his three, the Grenache was our favorite. I selected the Walla Walla Welcome tasting. The Cabernet Franc was first for me, followed by the Rubrum and the Merlot. As is typical in the tasting, the flavors and feeling of the line get older and heavier as you go. My favorite was the cop, Frank, and then the Merlot. We heard that they made an Albarino at one point, but they were all out, and I'm sure we would've loved it. We almost took home a couple of bottles of rosé, but we passed since this was our first half-day of tasting wines in the region.

Great grounds but what makes this place special is the staff, I'm very grateful to Lizzy, Kela and Brandy for the great personal experience they gave us in sharing their knowledge. The views and wine were very good. Worth a visit.

The Winery: aMaurice…read moreis located out near Walla Walla Vintners, and is a small operation still in its infancy. The tasting room consists of a table smack dab in the barrel room. Nothing pretentious, and frankly, with how good these wines are, no pretenses are necessary. The young French girl pouring the wine was very knowledgeable and friendly. We were welcomed in and made to feel comfortable in even the most spartan of tasting rooms. No frills, but none needed. The Wines: The best word I can use to describe these wines is "elegant". Complex, deep, yet perfectly balanced. The winemakers at aMaurice have done their grandfather Maurice (whom the winery is named after) a great honor by placing his name on these fantastic wines. aMaurice is currently offering a Malbec, a Syrah, a Viogner, a Chardonnay, and the Callahan red blend. It was all I could do to keep myself from buying a case of the Malbec. Amazing spice, yet smooth and full bodied. Fantastic complexity. I am unsure if I will ever be able to decipher what flavors are all encompassed in that wine, but white pepper is a big one. Fantastic. Unlike many of the other Walla Walla reds, this one is not in your face, but is, for lack of a better word, elegantly subtle in its complexity. Fantastic. I picked up a bottle of the Viogner, which is also some of the best I have ever consumed. They describe it as "liquid sunlight", and I don't think that I can disagree in any way. I am so looking forward to enjoying this one in the hot sun before a nice bbq. This one is definitely worth the drive out from town. Make sure you hit this one early in the day. You'll need your whole palate for these wines.

The oak is there, but it won't annoy you: just enough to give this wine a backbone and solid mouth-feel. Bright fruit, apricot, honey and a nice sense of mineral. A lovely, lingering finish that invites you back for more. The other wines are yummy too, but this one stands out to me most. With the beautiful scenery out back, this a must do winery. Great staff. Worth the drive. HINT: Check out the Malbec.

Outside and inside seating available; inside seating had floor-to-ceiling glass on three sides. SERVICE: 5.0. Mature server with long history at Figgins. Kayla provided rich explanations about the wines, the history of Figgins, the family behind Figgins, and the construction of the winery and its cellars. There were many fascinating details in her presentation and in her answers to our questions. Kayla's measured delivery ensured that the Japanese visitor (and wine expert) among us could easily understand the explanations. WINE: 4.0. We enjoyed the Toil-brand wines, especially the Pinot Noir Rosé, and found the (non-Rosé) Pinot Noir deliciously unique as it was prepared in somewhat of a Bordeaux style. The Figgins-brand wines were very nice.

If you are flying into Walla Walla... definitely swing by Elegante and say Hi to Doug before…read moreheading to wherever you are going and pick up a bottle or 2 or 6. Elegante is about 1/4 mile or so from the airport. It's super close and easy to find. Doug is a hoot! He is nice and has all sorts of wisdom and stories to share. He once worked on a strawberry farm... his main career was a high school chemistry teacher and athletic director for many many years ...... and now that he is retired.... and has time on his hands... he's enjoying his other passion as a winemaker. We blew in on a cold blustery Sunday morning before our departing flight at Walla Walla. Elegante was one of the few wine tasting rooms/wineries in the Airport District that was open on Sunday morning. (There are quite a few in this area... but not all are open on Sunday.) We tried 6 different reds. All were beautifully crafted. All are 100% of a given varietal. Doug wants the grapes and terroir to shine on their own. We were especially taken with the Cab, Tempranillo and Syrah. Each was an excellent representation of their varietal while being easy to drink. There were no overpowering tannins or acidity. These wines were nicely balanced and had great fruit and earthy flavors but again were not overpowering in any direction. All these reds were reasonably priced at $44 each. He could charge more but he doesn't because he wants people to be able to enjoy really good wine at a reasonable price. Oh! And he doesn't bottle the same varietal every year. Nope... if he doesn't find the grapes he wants that meet his very high standards... he doesn't make the wine. I love that! Someone who cares more about his product than inventory and $$. He invited us back into the production area and the barrel room where we saw barrels marked with "Zin". This is going to be the first time he's making Zinfandel. I'm envious and excited for anyone who gets to try this. Highly recommend stopping in here. It hits all the marks that I look for in wine. It's small production. It's quaint. It's personal. It's really good.
