Of all of the wineries in Walla Walla, this is the best! Great view of the vineyards, AMAZING wine and friendly staff. It is hard to find a winery that has it all, but this one does. Heather is fantastic and very great at making recommendations. I found my favorite wine here, all thanks to her: 2018 Sangiovese. 2019 is also good. It is a perfect summertime red that is light, yet robust with a hint of sweetness. The rose is also a favorite! Walla Walla Vintners should be a destination for all wine lovers :) read more

Some friends and I visited Walla Walla vintners a couple days ago and we're greeted with some great tasting wine at a very reasonable price. There wasn't anything we tasted that we didn't really like and because the price is reasonable you can take more than one bottle home with you but the best part of the visit was meeting Dakota who was very charming and engaging and such a treasure trove of knowledge, she knew everything about the vineyard, it's history and all their wines, it was a real pleasure to meet her. Beautiful winery in Walla Walla. We stopped by here to have a glads of wine and not any tastings. We got lucky to grab a table here on a busy Saturday evening. We tried their red and white wine and both were amazing. Highly recommend if in the area. The drive to this winery is also very pretty. read more

Our first stop was at Walla Wall Vintners. WOW! I was so impressed with the wines and the service. Olivia was incredibly knowledge about the wines, intelligent on speaking about wine and delivered exemplary customer service. I look forward to her producing wines in the very near future. The tasting experience itself was pretty standard - the typical explanation of the wines being poured and a little bit of the winery's history. All of the pours were tasty, but nothing outshone the Cab Franc, for which they are justifiably famous. This winery was a priority stop for us, one of the few clubs we joined, and well worth investigating for anyone who loves Cab Franc. Cheers! read more

This is a beautiful winery not to miss. I feel like I'm in Tuscany without the long flight and all the cost. Staff are very knowledgeable about their wine, and the tasting is so cheap! All tasting is done in the outdoor under the tree with the fresh air. read more

The Vottavo blew me away. I even said, "whoa" to myself. It warrants the rating of 93 and the Double-Gold. The surprise hit was the Dolcella... Good people and good wines! I had read that these guys were some of the best at making big, bold reds and they delivered. Petite verdot had not been on my radar previously but it was delicious here along with the cabarnet which is my usual favorite. This was one of the few tasting rooms that my group felt could give Napa Valley a run for their money! And their prices were much more reasonable than most in California. read more

The wine industry is huge in this part of the world. I had always thought the business of making wine had been around forever here, but I come to find it's on the order of 10-20years old. With that, Walla Walla Vinters is one of the first. The winery is located out of town and in nice setting surrounded by their own vineyard as well as others. We made it here for a tasting. I don't pretend to be a wine snob. In Sideways, I would definitely be Miles' friend Jack....Ummm yeah, I might drink a glass of wine with gum already in my mouth. With that said, we had a tasting of many of their wines. With only subtle differences, they all had a common taste---which is good because I liked all that I sampled. The commonality made non-trivial to pick a bottle. I simply went with one of the cheaper ones since I liked 'em all: yes, this is how I roll, son! All in all, a pleasant experience: friendly staff, good wine, excellent winery/location. read more

Walla WAlla Vintners is a true gem and I was glad I got an opportunity to stop by the tasting room after years of having their wine. The tasting room is set in the vineyard with simply lovely back drops and rolling fields of grapes. The tasting room is warm and welcoming and it was so nice to see one of the owners, Gordy, talking to visitors and pouring wine. There is no tasting fee, and there was a nice selection of wines to taste. I came home with the Washington State Cuvee red wine 2013. I am excited to open it in the future and while drinking reflect on my wonderful visit to the tasting room. Thank you Walla Walla Vintners for an enjoyable time. read more

Walla Walla Vintners took our breath away on our first stop in Walla Walla wine country, and we haven't been able to find a better experience or better wines since!!! We would stay here all day if we could - the location was dog friendly (for our Bernese Mountain Dog), plenty of sun and shade or indoor tasting space, and the wines are absolutely phenomenal and well priced. I think they were training new staff members .... That might have been the reason for the less than satisfactory experience. Staff did not generate an interest in increasing our knowledge about their products. There was no attempt to get to know our preferences, as to offer tasting suggestions. Staff appeared distracted and inexperienced. The wines were just ok. read more

Beautiful setting! Very peaceful and relaxing experience. The wines were very good. The servers/hosts/hostess were all very welcoming and thankful for out business. We asked for suggestions for hotels and they found us a discount coupon for one they were happy to recommend to us. While the hotel ended up being booked, it was very nice of them to dig out the coupon just in case. An overall wonderful and delightful experience. We'll go back if we're in the area again! read more

WWV serves up some of the best wine I've tasted in the region, particularly the Cabernet Sauvignons. We met the winemaker, who was genuine and an expert in his craft, so we knew we were in good hands with respect to quality. It's always refreshing to be in the presence of someone who holds such a passion for his profession, which enriches the expereince. I came away with three bottle of wine I know will age well and taste spectacular in the years to come. One only comment -- keeping the rating from going to 5 stars -- is that the tasting room wasn't as richly decorated. My wife and I enjoy touring wineries, but for slightly different reasons. For me it's primarily about tasting top wines, for her, ambience matters. The winery is in a beautiful setting in the midst of vineyards in a quiet corner of Walla Walla; however the decor and merchandise inside the tasting room could be improved for her benefit, which would undisputedly make WWV a premiere destination. All in all, we would definitely be back in the future, due to their emphasis on the quality of the wine. read more

Our favorite winery in Walla Walla. The location is really cool, it opens up so you're tasting inside but looking out at the beautiful grounds and vineyards. Their wine is delicious - we joined the wineclub on the spot. We didn't get the full tour, something to look forward to. read more

Top notch wine. Setting the bar for what it means to call yourself a Walla Walla winemaker. Off the beaten path, you'll find it well worth your time to head due east out of Walla Walla to visit this winery. Feels like stepping back in time as you make the drive out.The wines are truly classic. Good body with a nice long finish. Very experienced staff. If you want to know anything about Walla2, these guys can tell you. Go for the wine, get a history lesson. The tasting room is a bit bleak - I expected a lot more with the reputation WW Vintners has for making excellent wines - but the wine will blow you away. Cheers! read more

Visited Walla Walla Vintners Labor Day weekend and had a great time with Gordy and his team. The grounds are amazingly beautiful, and the tasting room is quaint. We had a prearranged group of 8, and Gordy was so accommodating. We had a picnic outside and enjoyed a bottle of the Cab Sauv and Sangio while we noshed. Gordy was kind enough to give us a small tour of a row of syrah grapes and also the barrel room. His story was genuine, and full of excitement. Passion for wine runs through him. I would definitely add Walla Walla Vintners to your tasting adventures. read more

Walla Walla Vinters is a bit of a drive from downtown but it's worth it if you happen to enjoy reds that have a bit of a zing and haven't yet mellowed out. The server was friendly, there were pretzels, crackers, and chocolate available to cleanse your palette, and everyone there seemed to be having a good time! No tasting fee to boot. The wines weren't up our alley, but that's hardly their fault. The older gentleman pouring the wine really seemed to enjoy what he does. read more

Walla Walla Vintners has a legacy of passion for making outstanding red wine since 1995. We are a limited-production winery dedicated to making handcrafted, premium red wines by working closely with our growers and vineyard managers to ensure our grapes reflect the varietal, terroir, and vintage at their highest level possible. Our wines are made using traditional, labor-intensive, winemaking techniques. We specialize in making wines from sustainable vineyards throughout Washington State, including our eleven-acre Estate Vineyard surrounding the winery. While much of our grapes are grown in the Walla Walla AVA, we also source fruit from the Columbia, Red Mountain, Wahluke Slope, and Yakima AVA's. Our varietals include Cab Franc, Cab Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot, Syrah, Sangiovese, and specially crafted Bordeaux blends.

He took the time to make us feel welcome, ensuring we were comfortable at our shaded table (it was around 95°F!) and never rushed us through the tasting. He even remembered our names and gave great recommendations for nearby dinner spots to check out after our visit. We brought our Australian Shepherd along, and he was warmly welcomed as well. They also have their own adorable winery dog, Monty (possibly a Shih Tzu?), who was mostly inside but made an appearance toward the end of our tasting. He's a bit cautious with other dogs but very sweet. We sat outside and enjoyed the peaceful setting. We learned Kinhaven also hosts weddings--there had just been one the night before with about 50 guests dining in the orchard. It sounds absolutely picturesque! As for the wines--every single one we tried was impressively good. The $25 per person tasting fee is waived with the purchase of two bottles, which is more than worth it given the quality. I tasted at this winery when I visited Walla Walla a few months ago. The location is super…read moreconvenient-- right along the Main Street and close to a bunch of other wineries, so you can make a whole afternoon (or day) of tasting if you like. The wine itself is high quality. There aren't a ton of varietals, but what they do they do right. I enjoyed being able to compare different years of the same wine side by side-- it really helps you see the small differences. The tasting room has excellent ambiance, and for those interested there is a large bear statue that makes for a nice photo op. The woman who poured for us was absolutely lovely and we had a great chat. Would definitely return!

DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! Some of my favorite wines in the Columbia Valley (shoutout to Blushing Bear and the flagship Cab). Stacy was fantastic!! She was so attentive and really helped make our experience even better. We left with pretty much the line-up. HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommended.
