We ordered custom shower doors and glass for both our master bathroom and guest bathroom. The crew that came to do our master bathroom did a good job installing. Only issue was that didn't do a good job cleaning up and left shards of metal on the floor of our shower (which was not a pleasant feeling on bare feet). They sent a different crew to install our guest bathroom shower doors and they did a horrible job. The doors did not open and close properly and then the door fell off the track completely. The installers did such a bad job that our tile person had to come back and repair all the tiles they ruined. These doors were not cheap ... $1800 for the guest bathroom and $1500 for the master. They agreed to pay for the tile repair but I still haven't receive the check that was supposedly mailed. Office staff is rude and needs some customer service training. read more

BEWARE. BAIT and SWITCH operation. Do not use this company I ordered a frameless shower door. I thought I was purchasing a model that was displayed on the website 8 weeks later the installers came in and quickly installed a shower that looked like it came from the 1980s. Also without my approval the company charged my card and said that the job was done I complained and they sent out a person named Gary to handle the issue. He agreed that the model that was installed was an older model and said that the would replace it with what I expected. At the time he was remeasuring everything I pointed out that there were holes in the time wall that would have to be taken care of and he said that he would handle that with a decorative weather strip. I agreed A month later the installers came back and said that they couldn't install the door without the damage that they caused being clearly visible. They cracked a number of the tiles and it would have to be repaired by someone other than them I told them to leave because Gary was going to have to figure out what to do to make it right Two weeks later and a couple of phone calls to the company I finally got a number to call for the repair I called the repair company and they told me the old shower had to be removed before they could start A week later Echols sent their crew to remove the shower. Plenty of pictures showing the terrible job they did. It looks like they rushed through it. I could have had my 10 year old do a better job I then scheduled the repair with the tile contractor and told them it was Echols responsibility to pay. I got a call back from them saying the Echols was refusing to hold up their end on the bargain After a couple emails and phone calls I talked to Gary again who said now the repair to the time was my responsibility. I asked for my money back that they have had for 4 months and they did agree to return it I am left with a damaged shower because of the incompetence and dishonesty of this company. read more

Almost a month to install and still wrong. Failed to install trim on mirrors as promised. Failed to repair dents in trim they caused. Failed to repair dents in ceilings they caused. Failed to repair/repaint scrapes along walls they caused. Failed to expedite revisits as they promised. Failed to provide electrical outlets as promised. Failed to reinstall light fixtures correctly. HORRIBLE JOB, UNPROFESSIONAL, LIAERS!!! These people are very unprofessional. They messed up our order and installed a wrong shower that looks like it belong to 80s and must be discontinued. When we pointed them to this issue they agreed that they were wrong and offered the replacement to the one we ordered and paid for. Several months later they figured out that they can't install a new frameless shower that we ordered because they cracked the tiles and they would be visible. So they offered to fix the holes from old installation. The company that fixes the holes that was supposed to come/and was agreed with called us saying that the glass shower company refused to pay for their work. After calling back and forth the Echols Glass Company was complitely rude to us and told us they are not going to fix anything and agreed on refunding the money. NOW we don't have a shower, AND we have damaged tiles in the unit and have to find people to fix and reinsall new shower doors. Find someone else. These guys wasted my time for months installing a simple glass shower enclosure. They could never get the measurements for the glass right, and the front office was rude, insisting on final payment before they were able to finish the job. Numerous days missing work to meet these guys. On the plus side, the installers were very considerate and apologized for the issues. However, never received any apology or reduction in price from the front office or the sales guy (Mr. Echols). read more

Echols originally put in my bath shower doors a number of years ago. The plastic piece on the bottom of the door cracked so needed a new piece . I called and the receptionist was most helpful and pleasant. She told me to come out and suggested I bring the piece. She told me it would cost about $20 and they would make me a couple of those pieces. When I walked in Sherry Lee was most pleasant. She walked the piece to the back to be duplicated. After about ten minutes she said that she was going to check on it again...it was going to be a couple of minutes. While I was waiting I heard her on the phone to clients and potential clients. She was outstanding. Sherry Lee was perhaps the best receptionist I have ever come across in all my years. Echols should be proud of this employee. read more

We ordered a mirror for our master bath specifically from Echols because we wanted a beveled glass border around the mirror. The estimator said that the bevels should be cut on site to achieve what we wanted. My husband reminded them when the call was set that the bevels should be cut on site. When the arrived the bevels were already cut and did not fit as they were supposed to. We eventually cancelled the bevels. However, we were also only left one mirrored outlet cover (we needed two) and I'm STILL looking at an ugly hole in the wall around the outlet after my husband has made repeated calls. I hate to see a great company and it's people get a bad reputation due to very old reviews and comments that are obviously a miniscule portion of happy consumers, such as myself. I own a construction company and Echols Glass has done hundreds of jobs for me without incident. Echols is always on time and professionally dressed and that makes me look good as well as puts the homeowner at ease. I find their products and customer service to be superior to other companies that I have used or attempted to use. I have had the owner come to bid my jobs. ( On that day he was filling in for an employee who was out sick.) I'm sorry that the 3 people had bad experiences but they shouldn't outweigh all of the very happy clients who have used them. Lastly, on a personal note, I broke a small glass table top and they were able to recreate the detailed edge on the glass and replace it on the same day. Great people, service and product! As someone who relies heavily on reviews I must admit I was very hesitant to hire Echols Glass. But based on the fact I saw their work and Roche Bobois in Buckhead I decided to give them a chance. I hired Echols twice in the last month. And both times I received excellent service as well as exactly what I ordered. My first interaction was with Gary who came out to do measurements. All the measurements were taken with the laser and measured to Percision! My installers, Philip, Giner and Darren were EXCEPTIONAL! Extremely professional and extremely personable! So, although "reviews" can be helpful they can also be in accurate. As an interior designer with and attention to detail like no other, hopefully my review will help put your mind at ease should you decide to hire Echol Glass. I can't say enough GREAT things about Echols Glass and Mirror. The quality of their workmanship and products are outstanding. Jill Dooley has excellent insight and understanding of what the client needs and builds the design accordingly. Her suggestions were extremely helpful and she thought of storage ideas that had not even occurred to us. Installations were completed without a hitch and the guys left the areas immaculate when they were done. Echols has designed, built, and installed closets in our Master bedroom as well as 2 additional bedrooms. They also built an outstanding system for our kitchen pantry. At no point during any conversation was the smell (still existing in the cabinetry nine months later) agreed to NOT be the melamine. They were asked to do the glass in two bathrooms. They have made my master bath shower door twice, first to small, then to large. The second job was a euro panel on a bath tub, first they delivered it with no holes to bracket and then 6-8 inches to short for the tub. The installers were extremely rude and told us the wrong product was better than using the shower or tub without glass at all. I can't say enough about Echols Glass & Mirror and closets too! Five years ago we added a full bath and had Echols put in a beautiful frameless shower door, framed mirror and an expansive closet system for extra storage in the basement. Two years ago we remodeled our master bath and put in a new shower door, and framed out the builder grade mirror with a beautiful frame that Ron helped me select. This year we planned to re-do our master closet system, after talking with Ashley we scheduled a time for her to come and measure the space and design the new system. It was a very easy process, a few questions, measurements and the next day she sent over a very cool 3-D design of the space. Now our installation is complete and we are blown away by how incredible our closet looks! Somehow she made the space feel bigger in her design and the quality is apparent throughout! In 2010 we had Echols install glass tops on a number of pieces of new furniture. Some glass was brown for wood, other was frosted for bar. Echols custom made a table top to sit on top of two lucite pieces for me, too. Most impressive was the way they helped me revit all my glass shelves into my bar area after they installed their glass counter top. and the painter and carpenters had changed the actual measurements for the shelving. The delivery men/installers jiled the wood and helped me fit the glass (my own glass shelves) back. Life-saving. A uear later i ordered a custom closet from them. Everything perfect. This week I am calling to ask to have one glass top re-affixed, and order two more pieces for my closets. I will follow up with a new review. Stay tuned. read more

My order on June 25th for a 28 x 58 1/4' plate glass was to be picked up on Thursday, July 2nd. When I called on Wednesday, July1st to confirm, I was told the production department was experiencing problems and it would be Tuesday the 7th before it was ready. When I expressed my disgust, she referred me to the production manager who told me it always takes two weeks, that that was the standard timeframe. I cancelled my order with no apology or concern expressed by the manager. When I called the sales department to get credit, I again got no concern about my cancellation whatsoever. We used Echlos Glass & Mirror on 5 renovations. On Job #1 they broke a light, but paid for the replacement. No problem. Job #2 & #3 went smoothly. It was finally on Job #4, Job #5 and what was supposed to be Job #6 where things went wrong. We should've stopped after Job #4, but I gave them the benefit of doubt. I would call and make an appointment and nobody would show up. I would call again and make an appointment and nobody would show up. On job #4 it literally took 10 business days & 4 scheduled appointment times to finally get somebody to come out to just measure & give me a quote on a $1,440 job. We should've never given them Job #5, and this recent fisasco on Job #6 we'll never do business with Echlos Glass again. Just like in the other reviews about Echlos Glass they just act like they don't care and if they sense one bit of customer frustration they are completely rude. Echlos Glass is the victim. Oh yeah, I'll admit it. When they got rude with me I was rude with them. It's not their fault that they do not show up to an appointment. It's not their fault that it takes 2, 3, & 4 tries to actually get a tech to come out & measue and quote. It's never their fault. It's YOUR fault.
