The technician showed up on time and quoted us $330. I told him we had other estimates scheduled with other companies and that I'd follow up. A few days later, I called back to approve their estimate and move forward. At that time, I was told the price had suddenly increased to $500, supposedly because they needed to bring in some kind of "expert" for the job. Although the last-minute price change felt suspicious -- especially since they may have assumed the other quotes we received were higher -- I still agreed. They said it would be a two-hour job, and we scheduled the service. When they arrived, the same technician came back -- not with an expert, but with someone to assist with a ladder. The entire repair took no more than 15 minutes. I was clearly upset about being misled on both price and job scope, but I kept my professionalism and decided not to say anything. Things quickly went downhill when it was time to make payment. Instead of sending a proper invoice -- like most businesses do -- the technician demanded that we write our credit card information down on a piece of paper so it could be charged later at their office. This outdated and insecure payment method raised serious red flags. I told the technician that the business owner (I'm the Practice Manager at a medical facility) would need to receive the invoice via email and that she would pay it immediately. The technician became angry and hostile, insisting that they don't send invoices, and then proceeded to call me a crook -- in front of my team and clients -- simply because we weren't willing to hand over unsecured credit card info. I found this accusation highly offensive. I run a multi-million dollar business. The idea that we would risk our reputation over a $500 bill is not only insulting but completely absurd. To resolve the issue, I called their office directly. The person who answered said that they do in fact send invoices by email -- contradicting what the technician claimed. I requested to speak to the owner. He called me back, but instead of apologizing or trying to understand the situation, he was even more rude and dismissive than the technician. It became clear that this type of unprofessional behavior comes from the top down. To add insult to injury, Liberty Door Repair didn't send the invoice until two days later, even though they had been so demanding about immediate payment. Once we received it, we paid it promptly, as we had always intended. Here's what you should know about Liberty Door Repair before hiring them: They change their prices after the initial estimate with no valid explanation. They overcharge for simple jobs (15-minute repair quoted as a 2-hour job). They use insecure, outdated payment methods and pressure clients to provide sensitive information. They accuse clients of dishonesty without reason or evidence. Their customer service -- including from ownership -- is unprofessional, disrespectful, and combative. I truly regret doing business with them. There are many contractors and door repair companies out there who value their clients, respect modern business practices, and treat people with decency. Liberty Door Repair is not one of them. Save yourself the stress and take your business elsewhere.

The installer showed up completely clueless, dumped hundreds of parts all over our yard, and cobbled it together in a way that was flat-out unsafe. No cleanup, trash everywhere, and despite coming back six different times it's still not right. They've managed to scratch multiple pieces, which are now rusting, and the mess of boxes they promised to haul away are still sitting there. To top it off, someone showed up at my daughter's house today, where the swingset is, and started yelling at her -- unbelievably unprofessional behavior. Avoid these people at all costs. The first person they sent was an older gentleman who was unprofessional and unable to handle the job. The second time, they sent a man and his niece, who took three days to complete the work and caused significant property damage. The niece, who was not qualified, struggled to hold the mirror and almost dropped it on my husband while he and my mom stepped in to help. Instead of assisting, she just stood there watching. They worked sloppily, dropped tools on my engineered wood floors, and generally lacked the skill to do the job properly. When I disputed the charge with Fixttman, they threatened to come after me for the money, even though I needed to hire drywallers and painters to repair the damage they caused. One subcontractor even threatened to enter my home with three men, forcing me to call the police. On top of that, a Fixttman agent also threatened me. This company operates fraudulently, hires unprofessional workers, and offshores their customer service calls to agents who falsely represent the company as legitimate. In reality, it's just someone in Texas hiring unqualified workers and overcharging customers. They also tack on hidden fees, despite their workers being unprofessional and unskilled. Avoid this company at all costs, especially Justin from Nix Constructions. -responding to the owner who also threatened me, -the crew smelled strongly of marujana. -the had changes, because the put the rod in the second room without asking which height, just assumed it was the first room height. -secondly had no level so their work was never was straight (admittedly, some ceiling was not leveled) but if he's an expert he would know how to adjust accordingly. every time I would come into the room the brackets are not straight. they still are not! -the drywall patch they used gun caulk, which I provided for them, and did not sand or paint before leaving, even though he said he would. I called to make an appointment for someone to come out and give me a quote to replace my windows,…read moreand although it was a week or more out, I was hopeful. The salesman Adrian Salazar called me the morning of the appointment to make sure I was still wanting him to come out, which I always appreciate a heads-up. And of course I was, I had lots of bugs coming in through the old original windows in my house I had recently moved into. Adrian was very personable, and full of information that I was seeking, in order to make sure all my needs were met. He quickly measured and gave me an estimate (at my urging because of those bugs!) I didn't even need to think about it, the product looked amazing, and with SO many choices. I loved the aluminum "capping" in a choice of colors for the exterior, with the interior being nice and white. I might point out that I got the 9000 series because the glass area size is greater, with a thinner vinyl frame, and I want all the glass I can get for that natural light! Adrian warned me that the email with the timeframe would be way out in the future, but it wouldn't really be that long. To say the least, when I got a phone call from Eric Rice the Project Manager saying my windows were ready, I was in shock! It had only been 25 days since that appointment with Adrian! And better yet, Eric asked if I could have them come the next day "or is that too short of notice?", my answer was a resounding not too short of notice, but yes, please. I might add that Eric also answered my myriad of questions because I wanted to make sure I had the house completely ready to get those windows installed. The next morning Marcelo and his crew started right away and knocked it out, working the entire day, even through the rain. And the results are wonderful. I absolutely love the aluminum capping which they form to the exact profile of your window trim, complete with mitered corners. They also use matching colored caulk, so that the gorgeous trim is seamless. Another great thing about these windows is the locking mechanisms on them, since they are low-profile and have a smooth feel to them. These 9000 series windows also have super smooth operating lifts in the sides, so they're easy to raise and lower both sashes and they also both tilt-in for cleaning. I only have wonderful things to say about this company and have never had such a positive experience with any type of home repair or renovation company.
