ECJ did a great job cleaning my studio apartment! They were running a little late from another job but Emely was very communicative via text throughout the entire process. DO NOT HIRE. I hired this company to do a significant amount of work on my house. Owner Emely Juarez over-promised in order to secure the work over other companies, agreeing to the following: In 2-3 days, for a total of $3,600 - $4,250, ECJ could insulate the attic, caulk the windows, service the furnace and AC, install new smoke detectors, address the water heater back drafting, fix the loose siding, and address the exterior cracking/seal/waterproof paint the interior block. I was then informed, much later, I'm that, after paying $3,800+, they would not be covering three very important tasks out of a total of eight that they agreed to do, one of which was the most important task of all, and that's addressing the exterior cracking around the house/waterproofing. They continued to tell me - over the course of several weeks - that their techs were simply waiting for warm weather before they could come out, and when it did warm up, suddenly indicated that they had no intention of doing this work at all, ever. As if this wasn't bad enough: When I had the house inspected, it turned out they didn't even complete what they said they did - replacing out the smoke detectors and servicing the HVAC. They also then took it upon themselves to inform my prospective homebuyer that I needed x, y, and z additional work done on my HVAC when the buyer got in touch with them to ask about the work. Now looking into legal action, BBB, MD Guaranty Fund now. Hope that ripping me off was worth it. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. 6/17/21: I was just threatened by the owner of this company that she would sue me if I didn't take down this honest review right away. That's pretty scary - hiring a company, paying them, having them fail to do the work they are supposed to, and then threatening to be sued when you post a factual description of what happened. I called ECJ on short notice and was extremely happy to find that they could accommodate me. I was moving from a rental home to a new home and needed a post-move clean up. Emely and an assistant showed up and did such a thorough cleaning of the place that it was almost unrecognizable. They wore masks to the appointment and after a few hours, were finished. I booked for bathroom cleaning only. Loved that they showed up with mask as safety during Covid is very Important however there were a few things that I found error in. The baseboards in the bathrooms were not cleaned and neither were the light coverings. We have glass doors and the metal part still had soap residue on it because it was never touched. There were a few spots missed for the caulking which was my main reasoning for booking. read more

Yesterday, my husband and I bought our first house. It was for sale by owner so when we arrived the kitchen, bathrooms, and the house had not been deep cleaned. There is never an opportunity to really get a place clean-clean like when it is empty. I was feeling overwhelmed and called ECJ Cleaning as a hail mary to see if they could come before the moving truck arrived. Same day, with only a few hours notice, Emily and a crew of ninjas showed up and cleaned our house from top to bottom...while movers were unloading! It could have been chaos but the team from ECJ were efficient and thorough pros. They moved through the home like a team of synchronized swimmers. Impressive doesn't cover it. I would not recommend calling anyone in panic and requesting a move-in house cleaning without much notice but, I would recommend ECJ for any project.
