Probably the most inconsistent cleaning company. Never stayed with normal times, different cleaners each time. While they offered to come "redo" areas if they weren't up to par it was happening too often. Our final straw was having them request cleaning on a Saturday (kids out of the house all day, so they could do a nice thorough cleaning) and they never showed up, they never called it took my husband and I contacting them to find out what happened and they had zero explanation. The cleaning was arranged at the very last minute but they did amazing work for a very fair rate. Everything smelled fantastic and the sheets were tight enough to host competition billiards. The cleaners always did a great job. The owner did not. Not sure if she just devalues elderly folks but either way, she did a very bad job of managing schedules, calling us or texting back (for the most basic reason of wanting to schedule an appointment), each time kept changing the cleaning crew. Most recently, ignored messages from my very sweet (older) mom but was slightly more responsive to me. I hesitate to post negative reviews because people are just trying to get through tough times, but she never called back to cancel our most recent appointment - a no show - once again. Thoroughly impressed! I was SO SO SO pleased with the quality of service provided by The Cleaning Touch. After reading so many favorable Yelp reviews, I decided to give them a call to find out about their services and prices. I spoke with Miryan, who is the co-owner of the business with her husband. She was very pleasant to speak with and answered all of my questions. She came by my single-family home the next day to provide a free estimate ($130 for the first visit and $110 afterwards) and review what I wanted done. We then arranged a date and time for her team to come by and she even graciously confirmed this over text the day before the service was requested. When the two women came to clean the house, they had all of their own cleaning equipment and supplies, including a vacuum. They only kindly asked for a roll of paper towel and a garbage bag to dispose of their dirty supplies. Then - they got to WORK! They literally cleaned my home for almost three hours! They never stopped working. My husband and I were so amazed. They cleaned everything including wiping down the kitchen cabinets, all of our windows and baseboards. They even cleaned the glass windows on our front door including the top portion, which can only be reached with a ladder. The house LITERALLY sparkled after they left and smelt great! I also love, love, love how they use all natural products mixed with essential oils. I couldn't stop smiling after these ladies left. I almost hugged one of them when she walked out! The convenience of having someone else clean your house is so worth it. I am going to continue with The Cleaning Touch for a monthly house clean. We are so happy to find the Cleaning touch Miryan and Giovanni on yelp. Originally we would like to hire Miryan for just cleaning after one tenant left of our property in Silver Spring, Maryland. Then we found out her talented husband can do a total renovation for us including throwing away old furniture and etc, getting all material for us, do floor installation, paint all indoor as well as the balcony and many other tasks. So we hire them all together. The result is quite amazing. They are extremely kind, responsive and as a result we found a good tenant before the job is even finished. There was nothing at all in the apartment, so not sure how they missed so many spots! I asked specifically for the blinds to be cleaned...nope. Miryan and Gio are incredible human beings and we are lucky to be breathing the same air that they do. To be walking the planet at the same time they are gracing this earthly plane with their presence is a true gift. And that does not even begin to describe how amazing they are. I've needed a deep clean done to my apartment for a while now. I've always felt guilty hiring someone to do it since it's something I could indeed do myself. But I got over the guilt quick after weeks of not being home and also not feeling like cleaning when I am home. I say all that to say I'm not necessarily lazy but if someone were to call me lazy I might be too tired to refute it or care. I say all that to say my apt was in a certain type of shape - not gross, but certainly not in any type of order. Unopened mail mixed with dirty dishes with a dash of undone laundry (no, they don't do laundry) all with a coating of thin--very thin--coating of dust. Yes, I feel the need to defend myself a little but I also want to provide a good description of what they were walking into. It was a mess, to put it plainly. One that I didn't want to deal with for one more second! I hit up Miryan through Yelp and she promptly responded back to me via Yelp with a cell number to text her. We then set up a time for her to come and look at the apt before the cleaning date. I think this step is super key and I've never had that experience with another cleaning service. I was able to be very specific about what needed to be cleaned and what didn't need attention. Plus, I got to meet Miryan and Gio face to face, which is always good for peace of mind. During the initial walk through, M&G explained that they only use environmentally-safe products which I thought was awesome. I hadn't even really been thinking about that - just wanted my apt super clean - but in hearing that from them, I could tell they took their job very seriously. They also explained how they didn't wear shoes in the apt during the cleaning, both for cleanliness and out of respect. I also wasn't thinking about that but felt even better about the level of care they were taking. It was a quick visit and we set up a time later that week for them to come by. I live in a building with a front desk so I was easily able to leave a copy of my key there for them to pick up and drop off. Coming home to a post-M&G apt I have to say was one of the most exciting and incredible parts of my week - probably my month and year. It was THAT amazing. It was like walking into an apt that I had seen before and kind of knew but it was out of a catalog instead. Granted, I have a lot of IKEA stuff, but it's never looked like the picture. Everything was so neat and tidy - they really found a place for everything. I had a ton of laundry and instead of just leaving it, they bagged up all the clothes and neatly placed them in the closet. Not only did it make everything so much tidier, but the bagged clothes are so much easier to tackle now while doing the laundry - win, win! I can't overstate what an incredible job was done. Price-wise it was great as well. I have a one bedroom, one bath and it was $120 for a deep clean. When they come next month, they said it would be $100. I really feel like I got my money's worth and was able to tip generously for their amazing work. As I come to terms with my messiness, I'm learning to accept that there are just some things I need to leave to the experts. The schedules are very flexible, the cleanings are thorough and my apartment always smells great after they're done. I love the smell of natural tea tree oil after I come home from work after a cleaning. Miryan is extremely nice and very responsive. If you notice the negative reviews, they aren't due to the service - they're due to people attempting to contact Miriam (undoubtably requiring IMMEDIATE assistance) and providing inadequate directions to their home or something. Miryan was so wonderful when she came out for our quote - very nice demeanor. Berta and Michelle did an AMAZING job on the house!! They were meticulous, detailed and went further than expected. We honestly don't have any concerns. The only request is for them to keep our trash and paper recycles separate, since we saw that they were combined when they took the trash out. For someone who usually likes to handle all the house chores on my own, I really felt like it allowed for more free time with my kids this weekend which never happens and that is priceless. An excellent and diligent business run by a husband-and-wife team that frankly deserves more than five stars, as they do everything they can to fully earn each and every star. We were in a bind: huge house party in less than a week meets many years of accumulated dust and the inevitable messiness that comes with a family of four (including two teenagers) with a high tolerance for disorder and no time (or should I say, desire to prioritize?) cleaning. We won't even dwell on the admitted avoidance of cleaning bathrooms or unfortunate fear of spiders (haven't opened the windows for literally years ....). I turned to Yelp to send out an emergency call to cleaning businesses ranked four or more stars (love you all, fellow Yelpers!) - the amazing Miryan was the first to respond. She and I chatted over the phone - she suggested a walk through on Tuesday to provide an estimate of the job, unfortunately that was the only day I could accommodate having cleaners come to the house. I confessed to Miryan that I was quite desperate. She and I discussed it more, with me describing the house and its state. The upshot is that she agreed to send a team to the house on Tuesday. I was soooo happy! Tuesday arrived: Miryan and her team arrived right on time as promised. They started with the master bedroom and began working their way through the top floor, slowly but steadily. Let me tell you, The Cleaning Touch is an incredibly diligent, honest, and genuine business. At 3 in the afternoon, they were still laboring over the teenagers' bedrooms on the top floor, with two more rooms to go before even moving to the main floor. I texted Miryan to get a sense of when they might finish - she promptly called me and let me know she had assumed the team could come back the next day. Unfortunately, that wasn't going to work - so she agreed to ask her team to stay later, plus she and her husband would come to the house at 6 as well. Did I mention the many many years of cleaning neglect? Did I mention TCT's meticulous attention to detail? Did I mention Miryan and Gio's commitment to excellence and caring? *NOT* just to your home, but to their staff ... around 6:45pm, Gio approached me to let me know the ladies couldn't stay to complete the house (which created a problem for me since I don't really have any options to finish the house now except to stay up super late and trade sleep for housecleaning - argh!) because they had to pick up their kids. I didn't say it at the time, but honestly, even as I was trying to work out in my head how to finish cleaning the rest of the house, I think it's *FANTASTIC* that Gio and Miryan understand and care about the impact on their employees. I also appreciated their honesty. Gio and I discussed the price, the work done (amazing, amazing, amazing), what remained, and agreed on a compromise. Note: they absolutely would have come back the next day to finish - but it was my schedule that couldn't support them doing so. Long story short, The Cleaning Touch is an absolute pleasure to deal with. I will definitely use them again (I'm thinking on a more regular basis though, not once in ten years!!) We hired The Cleaning Touch crew to clean our place after the arrival of our new born. They did an outstanding job of cleaning our place from top to bottom! We live in a high rise with a great view of Bethesda and DC and I was unaware of how great our view is until the folks from the Cleaning Touch throughly cleaned our windows! She will personally check to see if the cleaners did a good job. Cons: They don't take credit cards, only cash or check. You have to haggle for an estimate. I am responsible for this because I didn't thoroughly check, but still...the cleaners missed cleaning some basic spots like the bathroom mirror had streaks. After waiting 40 minutes past the scheduled time for the "owner" of the company to come to my house to give an initial estimate, for which I had to reach out to them to find out where they were and whether they were coming, it was pretty clear that the double the going rate for my one level , small 4 bedroom house was not of interest to this company. Apparently my asking for the wood floors to be cleaned and polished was a bit too much. Careful of wasting your time on this company.... quoted double the going rate for a one level 2000 sq. Foot house. They must have so much business that they didn't bother to work with me to get to an adequate and fair price. The kicker is I would have used them had they been remotely fair and accurate with an initial price. Not impressed.
