BEWARE! DO NOT USE THIS CAR WASH! We took our vehicle to Eclipse Car Wash in Edwardsville, IL. Upon entering the wash, they had a difficult time with the conveyor belt and mentioned it wasn't working properly and had to shut down the process to "fix" it. Once in the wash, the machine cracked our windshield - there was zero damage prior. Upon exiting, we stopped and showed the employees the damage. They had us submit a claim form and said they'd get back to us. Fast forward, they sent an email stating they weren't liable and went into a diatribe about how this is how "tempered glass works" (Windshields aren't made of tempered glass, they are laminated glass). When I pushed back and told them I expected them to fix it or pay our deductible they refused.I contacted my insurance company and they said that the deductible is $250 and it could potentially raise our insurance rates if I file a claim. They refuse to take responsibility. I have contacted the Attorney General, the Better Business Bureau, and will make sure to tell everyone to NEVER EVER TAKE THEIR VEHICLE TO ECLIPSE CAR WASH OR ANY OTHER CAR WASH THEY OWN (they own many). Buyer beware - this is NOT how you do business. read more

I wouldn't give these people a dime or time . My son and wife took there new car there and it ripped part of there bumper off . When trying to make a claim they refused to take responsibility even tho one of the workers said they would probably cut them a check for the damages. Absolutely the best car wash I've ever used. I have a membership and it's worth every penny. The water pressure is strong and does a very good job of cleaning the car both the top and underneath. My wife and I have subscriptions on both our cars. I drive a full size Bronco with a soft top and never had an issue. They have a setting for convertibles that seem to be working well( I haven't yet seen any damage). They did stop us while we were in My wife's truck to clean out the bed. We had some mulch that was loose in the bed. We pulled to the side and they provided us with a broom and hand held dust pan. After we swept up the bed and dumped the dust pan in the garbage can we went on to have the truck washed. Time after time Eclipse has always provide us with excellent service. The attendant having us clean are bed before going through the wash not only shows that they are taking care of the equipment but also assuring that no other cars will get scratch by flying debris. Wow! Our jeep was seriously dirty, with tons of bugs on the front and it came out clean! I'm impressed! They hose you off first to get things started and then you go through the wash. It's kind of fun too. After you are done, they have free vacuums to use! Great car wash! read more

I have been a monthly membership holder since the car wash opened. I had a white SUV a couple of years ago that left black marks. Almost looked like grease but no complaints. Except they asked me to take it through the wash again.I went there on September 9th with my black car and when I went through the wash I reported there being scratches on the right side pretty consistent with brush lines. The office manager told me she would follow up then didn't then I had to call again and she determined that no way her car wash could ever leave a mark on a car. I have multiple monthly subscriptions with this location and bring all of my cars in weekly. Last weekend the car in front of me had trouble understanding the instructions and kept braking. The workers were oblivious and kept loading vehicle's into the tunnel. My truck was pushed into the car in front of me. Long story short, after 2 hours of listening to the rude manager blame everyone except for the Eclipse's lack of safety controls even when the video clearly showed what transpired. I eventually gave up on dealing with her, and asked for the owner's information. She would not provide Jarrett's office number, but reluctantly provided his email. His response was to ignore the correspondence completely and not respond to my email. I guess it's their policy to just act like it didn't happen and avoid communication with any unhappy customers. read more

Water pressure way too powerful, the paint on your car is not meant to constantly experience that. Line always takes to long because they don't have a line exclusively for members so you are always going to be stuck behind a couple morons that can't work the machine. Two stars are for the vacuums and after wash stuff, other than that zero stars, won't be renewing my membership. read more

I'm not moved to write a review too often but my car wash experience did just that. After a 1000 mile drive of windshield bugs and other soot collected between Connecticut and Illinois, I noticed Eclipse down the street from our hotel. Automated check in kiosk made it easy to make car wash selection and pay with credit card. I was up early with family still sleeping so was able to take advantage of early bird special of $7 for the midlevel choice. I have a monthly pass at my local auto wash in CT and Eclipse puts it to shame. The tunnel was twice as long and much more thorough than my very good wash back home. I was skeptical that any auto wash could get the bug goo off the windshield in one pass but it did. As I pulled out it directed me to Free Vac stations. Sounded nice enough but that experience was even better. Vacs and air tools nicely hung and invitingly untangled for easy use on both sides of the car. (Air tools very helpful for getting small dust and dirt from seams, nooks and crannies so that vac can suck them up). Floor mat cleaning pad holder was very handy. I noticed nearby a free auto mat cleaner that i didn't take advantage of but I know how thorough those can be. I may not ever have the opportunity to go back as Im departing in 2 days and maybe the Connecticut shops are just in the auto car wash Stone Age but I have high appreciation for a well laid out, efficient and inexpensive operation. I may go back on getaway day just to experience it one more time. Great job Eclipse. read more

Usually I feel that all drive through car washes are about the same, however Eclipse seems to elevate the car wash to the next level. Possibly the best part of Eclipse is their vacuum stations, which include a vacuum on both sides of your car making it easier than having to drag a hose through the car just to get to the other side, and best of all the vacuums are free with a car wash. There are about 10-12 vacuum bays and a dedicated floor mat washing station complete with a roller/dryer, and just like the vacuum stations this is also free with a car wash. As far as the wash itself goes there are several options ranging in price from about $7 for a basic wash all the way up to $17 for the top of the line wash. Eclipse also sells an Unlimited Wash Plan for only $20/month, perfect for those clean freaks. One problem I had was with the service, when you first pull into the wash an attendant helps you guide your car and sprays a pretreatment on the car, that would be great however he was only spraying the driver side, and not the passenger side. Another issue I has was that they were not allowing much room between the cars, and I felt like I had to hurry out of the drying station in fear of the car behind me hitting my rear bumper. Overall this is a great car wash that offers a great value, but could use some fine tuning to make it perfect. read more

As far as automatic car washes go, they don't get much better. The wash itself is great, cleans our cars very well, the vacuums are powerful, and the floor mat washer is a nice free feature you don't see other place. We have had nothing but a fantastic experience every time we use Eclipse. The wash itself actually damaged my wife's brand new car, and Eclipse handled the situation perfectly. Stated by Eclipse: The wash had a malfunction because a driver exited the car wash without it finishing their wash. Again, as told by Eclipse, when this happens the wash does a full stop, this caused one of the cleaning arms swing into and dent her car on the driver side between the door front fender. She went in and talked to the employee, gave them her information and we received a call within a few hours. They paid to have the car repaired, and everything was resolved within a week. We cannot praise them enough for how they handled the situation and are still and will continue to be loyal customers. read more

This car wash is the king of all automative washes in the area. I never had any complaints with the quality of wash or amenities included with it. I have the solar hot wax membership package (the best they offer) where you have unlimited washes. I like my car to be consistently clean and well protected and that is what Eclipse has offered. I'll utilize the free vacuums nearly overtime. I have a large husky dog that sheds a ton so the ability to get all the fur out of my car daily is excellent! Unfortunately I am moving out of the area so I will no longer be a member, however I recommend it to everyone. Definitely get the unlimited packages, paying the single price can get costly. It pays it self after 3 washes. This way, if it rains the next day or if you splash in a big puddle, no big deal, just go back the next day! My husband and I have a membership to this car wash. It is about $30 a month but we can go however often we want. They do a great job keeping the place clean and up-to-date. I love that you can wash your car and then vacuum for an unlimited amount of time when you're done. It is the best car wash in the area. They have a machine to was car mats and a vending machine full of different cleaning materials you may need. They have about 15-20 different vacuum stations. read more

Just had my truck washed and the right side has thousands of scratches lined in it. It's is severely damaged. I saw an attendant who I notice regularly and point it out to him. Do NOT go to this car wash. First of all I applied for a job and they never returned my call for that. Second, I'm glad they didn't call me back because I went through the car wash one day last week (I believe Sunday). I went to vacuum the inside but when I walked over to the passenger side the door molding was hanging off. I made a damage claim and the lady told me my car was already damaged. I watched the video and there wasn't any previous damage. Also, when I got home the piece was completely GONE. She said the owner said that they were not responsible because of previous damage. I have been to MULTIPLE car washing in this town and in Chicago but this has NEVER happened before. During this process they would not return my calls, I kept getting the run around and I was told that the lady sent me an email but I never got one. 0 Stars. Do not take your car here unless you want to take a chance on their equipment damaging your vehicle. On 5/12/17 I entered Eclipses automatic car wash. Upon exiting I went to their vacuum area and proceeded to dry off my vehicle. While I was drying I noticed a large sweeping scratch on the front driver's side door. The scratch was very obvious and in a location that would be nearly impossible for any other situation to cause. As soon as a noticed the scratch I went to inform an employee that was on site. While walking to inspect my vehicle, he noticed it when he was still approaching the car (it was that apparent). Once again, it was on the driver's door, right under the side mirror, if the scratch would have been present before the car wash, it would have been spotted immediately. I filled out a damage report claim while the employee took pictures. Once he got done taking pictures he proceeded to try and look at their camera footage to see if the scratch was present before entering. He said that their cameras were not cooperating and that someone else will review them at a later time. After completing the report, I asked how this will be handled. He said that when his manager comes in tomorrow (5/13/17) she will review and get back to me. I received no call on 5/13/17, 5/14/17 or 5/15/17. I called numerous times and left messages, because no one answered the phone. On 5/15/17, I was able to get ahold of someone, but all he could do is pass along a message. On 5/16/17 I finally received a call to inform me that their equipment could not cause the scratch; that is was impossible. From the reviews I have read, this seems like the common answer to any claim made about their business damaging a vehicle. When I asked if they had used their camera footage to verify that the scratch was present prior to my vehicle being washed, they said that did not have a clear enough image to make a determination. When pressed even more about the business not taking responsibility, I received the same response of, the car wash can't produce that type of scratch. read more

Overall it's a good car wash. It does it's job and the vacuums are a really nice addition. The one thing this car wash is lacking on a huge level is dryers for the back of your car. My hood and windshield and even doors are usually pretty dry, but the back window and the back of my SUV are always sopping wet when I leave. It's frustrating because when you leave, unless you dry it off with a shammy right away, it leaves water marks all over the back. read more

I had damage to my car two or slightly more weeks ago and I had gone in to cancel my wash club membership and they did. When I received my credit card statement the car was billed one day before. I called and they said I could not receive a refund on an auto billed card. What a bunch of crap. I will never go back there and I highly recommend that you do not because they didn't even want to talk about damage to my car that was not there before I went through the car wash as I keep my cars clean and you can see any defects in the paint with no trouble. I went on 6/6/15 to get a car wash. My car was especially dirty and my front bumper was covered with bugs from a vacation trip. While i was pulling in and out of the car wash, i did notice a man watching over all the cars entering, he must have been some sort of management. When i exited the car wash, he was also standing there at the exit. He was looking at my front end and i was worried something was wrong. He followed me out and flagged me to stop when i exited. I rolled down my car window and he let me know that the wash did not remove all the bugs on my bumper. He wanted to give me a coupon to go thru again and get it all washed off. I let him know i was in a hurry and wasn't really worried about it. He asked if i was sure? I let him know it was no big deal and it was definitely full of bugs! He said he just wanted to make sure that everyone is happy with their wash and had a good experience. I wasn't real concerned. I pulled over to use the free vacuum. He then walked over to me and let me know he would give me some tokens for the vending machine for bug and tar removed cleaner. I assured him again that i wasn't worried about a few bugs. Over all.....very good experience and the manager made sure that i was happy with my car wash. I will definitely continue to use Eclipse. read more

Went back to the Eclipse car was at 8:47 AM on Thursday, June 17. I purchased the best wash for 14 dollars. The attendant guided me into the wash and then proceeded to only pretreat half of my truck. He only bothered to pretreat the drivers side he never went to the passenger side to spray the tires or windows. When the wash was over I noticed that the hood of my truck was still dirty and so were the windows. I pulled out and into the vacuum area to look for an employee but couldn't find one and needed to get going. As I was leaving I called Eclipse customer service and had to leave a message. I left a detailed message and asked them to call me back. When they finally called back three and a half hours later I wasn't available to take the call. They left me a message saying " Sorry we missed your call if you have any questions please call us back". Any questions - really I left a detailed message about why I had called. I called them back again it was about 30 minutes after they called me and again I got voice mail. They still haven't returned my call and its been about 24 hours since I left my second message. read more
