While the crew arrived on time, I had several concerns regarding their professionalism. The initial setup took a significant amount of time and the crew spent more time talking than working. They were at my house for 3 hours, I believe the job could have been completed much sooner had the crew remained focused on the job. Jordan, Simone and Luis did an amazing job cleaning my air ducts, dryer vent and replacing the register that holds my ac filters! They also did a deep cleaning of each of my bathroom vents. All of the vents in my house were hand cleaned and reattached. They were professional, friendly and answered all my questions and concerns. I was given a window time frame of when they would arrive and they actually contacted me to tell me they were running 20 minutes behind schedule due to finishing up a prior job in the neighborhood. They give you checklists and photos of everything, they clean everything with detail even the vent covers. They cleaned up after themselves when they left. I meant to review them the day of but decided to wait a couple of days just to see the results I contacted Eco Home Heroes because I have been coughing randomly in my own home (I just moved in here). After consideration, I figured it wouldn't hurt to see if I needed my air ducts cleaned. Eco Home came at a great time - they contact you before with a rough estimate of arrival! Upon arrival they set to work, making sure to let you know what they're doing along the way. They even show you the before and after photos. Also advise if there is something they found out along the way (for example my ceiling frames were poorly put on). Hi. I just got my air ducts cleaned up yesterday. My appointment was set for Thursday at 2:00 p.m. I never received a confirmation call the day before, but I assume I still had the 2:00 appointment. On the day of I waited passed 3 pm. My husband called at 4:00 asking about our appointment time and what had happen. We are told that they would be here in 20 minutes or so. The fact that we never received a call explaining that they were running late or in route kind of made us feel like we were put on the back burner.Service took about 2 to 3 hours which wouldn't have a problem with if they had arrived on time. I had to cancel our evening plans due to their tardiness. They finally get to my house around 4:30pm They got to work in a quickly manner. It took awhile to get set up, which I understood The whole reason why I called this company was because my condenser was filthy, my HVAC technician told me to get it cleaned first before he can get to work on it. The center outer covering was cleaned poorly, I can see where they sprayed and wiped leaving streaks. The flyer that I received said that my package includes bathroom vents, which is just vacuum not a full clean since it's not HVAC air flow. Kinda confusing since I was under the impression that the exhaust would be fully clean. I asked them about the condenser upstairs for the blowout he said he would talk to his boss and when he came back he said there was a confusion on where the condenser was located. I'm my mind I thought why not do it now since your here and I have access to the roof. Since they were late and probably tired from the day I was told to call and make an appointment, which is an inconvenience because I need to get in contact with my HOA to reopen the roof hatch. They showed us photos of the main vent. But totally skipped on the bedrooms and the bathroom photos which kind of made me think that maybe my vents weren't that bad to begin with to get them clean,and just need my condenser. read more

He refunded my money and wants to talk over the phone tomorrow, which I promised to do. I didn't write this review to get a refund as I could have disputed the charge with my credit card company a month ago, but I believe one was due as my ducts were clean and my indoor air was still hazy. I'm really glad they stand behind their work, care about their reviews, and hope to feel more confident about this business after speaking with the owner tomorrow. I still believe they will get your ducts clean as I had a good experience before, but if you have stagnant drywall dust post-construction, I wouldn't pay anyone to try and remove it. -- I'm saddened to have to leave this company a bad review, but after the money I wasted in April, I have no choice. I had used them 2 years ago to clean the ducts of my newer home, and aside from some minor hiccups, the crew did a good job, and my HVAC filters were always white when I changed them after that. Flash forward to Dec of last year when I had drywall work done in my living room. The drywall dust went everywhere, and I couldn't get rid of it despite weekly cleaning and changing out my MERV 11 HVAC filters every few weeks. I called Emaan again to see if he could get rid of the awful white dust. He told me he could via another duct cleaning and airscrubbers. I was quoted $399 for a 1,700 sqft, single-story home. It's a lot of money, but I was desperate. The crew arrived on time on 4/1 and got right to work again. They brought one airscrubber (it's like a high-power fan that sucks in air and vents it outside via a duct), which was used in 2 rooms over the crew's 1.5 hours in my home, even though I was told it was a 3-hour job). The crew always has 4 people, so I try to stay out of the way between all the people, hoses, ducts, etc., but everyone was friendly and polite again. Jordan, the supervisor on the job, tried to upsell me on cleaning my AC unit, but I have it maintained yearly and verified with my HVAC company that they clean it out, so I didn't appreciate that. When the job was done, I had to alert Jordan to the fact that the master bathroom fan needed the cover put back on and to remove some film on a vent in my guest room before they left. After they took off, I noticed the big duct they used on each vent had scraped against two of my walls (on the corners) and an interior door frame, which required touch-up paint again. I feel that if they worked a little slower and had someone holding the vent that goes out to their vehicle, this could have been prevented. I also had greasy handprints in a few places that required some elbow grease to remove. I had to wipe down some horizontal surfaces and vacuum up drywall chunks that fell down when the vents were removed, as well. Someone on the crew needs to do a final walk-through and ensure the home is left how it was found. The biggest issue is that I paid so much money and dealt with all this for nothing. My indoor air was still full of a white haze for another month, and per the report I got, my vents weren't even dirty. They gave them 4 out of 5 stars due to my HVAC filters being full of drywall dust for months, so my filters, which I changed every few weeks, were doing their job. My ducts were probably 5 out of 5, but regardless, the crew shouldn't have cleaned already-clean ducts, and Emaan shouldn't have recommended these services if they don't get rid of drywall dust. I feel totally scammed, unlike my previous experience with this business. So, what does work to get rid of drywall dust? Waiting for a big spring windstorm, opening every door and window, and letting mother nature blow that junk out of your house. My indoor air is 90% better now, and it cost me nothing. read more

After contacting a bunch of different companies, I decided to go with Eco Home Heroes. I just bought a house a few months back which has a woodburning fireplace. The people I bought it from told me they never used it which was apparent, but I wanted a professional to come out, verify that everything was good clean and ready that way I dont burn my house down while trying to watch a christmas movie in the coming weeks. Emaan sent 3 guys to my house to do the chimney cleaning for $175 and $50 for a deep clean fireplace cleaning. I cant recall all their names, I believe Jamie was the lead, then a young hispanic guy, and another guy who was newer. The 3 of them unloaded their massive box truck and got to work. They were extremely professional, nice, and more importantly seemed like they were having fun while working which is a rare and beautiful thing to see. They wore booties in my house and taped off some plastic to make sure dust and soot didnt mess up my living room! After they told me what each of them were going to do and work on, I went into my office and continued working leaving them alone as they did what they had to. I went out periodically to check on them and see if they needed anything which they seemed to have everything under control. They cleaned the inside and showed me before and after pics which was a nice touch. Unfortunately, because the previous owners didn't maintain the fireplace, some of the stains and soot wouldn't come out. One of the workers stayed behind to continue deep scrubbing it and did as much as he could. It was understandable as my fireplace is 50 years old and would need magic or a complete replacement to get all that out. I appreciated that he stayed behind to keep working on it and was really happy with their service overall. read more

Is duct cleaning necessary? Is it a scam? Is it worth it? All questions I found when searching for duct cleaning information online. This company knows what they are doing and utilize all the tools they can to provide the cleanest air ducts, AC units and dryer vents your house has ever had. The prep work was professional and they cleaned up after themselves(big plus in my book already). They are efficient and well trained in their line of work to answer all your questions.
