NADCA certified or duct cleaning style is a must for us (air compressor vs brush that could break or damage duct). After 2 NADCA company evaluations, we decided on Pro-Duct because of yelp reviews,even if they're pricier. Happy with our results. Tal and team (Ryan, Dillon) were great at explaining, jumping into the work, and cleaning up after. It seems daunting at first, but rest assured, they'll vacuum their best after. But you'll still need to mop, dust and wipe down the walls to tables/anything underneath or near any vent yourself. My first time hiring any duct services in my life so don't know what to expect. There was dust and some tiny residual for next days to max a week, which I assume is normal. Must be impossible to expect no after effects after agitating 30+ year old never cheated duct system. - $0 diagnosis/evaluation - $389 duct cleaning for house of 1200sqft range, and - additional $100 for dryer vent cleaning. VS over $3k for a whole duct replacement which will need to do one day. Wish we duct cleaned before moving in furniture. Our ducts were disgustingly dirty with previous owners NEVER ever cleaned or replaced 40 year oldish ducts? Out of 10, we were rated solid 8 bad in how dirty our ducts were. Because of that, debri will fly away from the vent area no matter how much their fans try to suck it up. Tal was great at explaining the process, air flowing, and what to expect. He documented with pictures and videos of the work for better understanding. We looked like we were going through some type of remodeling but it was just duct cleaning. Great team work. Like secret service team for ducts....on the roof, in the house, ear piece head phones to communicate from different locations, watching via video, etc. Team will go above and beyond in their work. We had issues with one of our vent boxes being loose. They helped caulk it (48hours to dry) to keep it in place. Tips/Recommendations by me: - Access is needed underneath each vent in your house. Furniture needs to be moved. - Cover as many items in your house as possible. Put items away into cabinets and enclosed spaces. Expectations: - Expect it to be loud. Your place to look like remodeling project for the whole house is happening. - For really dirty ducts like ours, expect debri to cover more places than expected. The staff will do as much as they can in vacuuming the floors 2x. But your tub, sink, toilet, floors away from vents area, walls, ceiling, baseboards, tables, will still be affected? For someone who is OCD about cleaning or needing control, its tough. So prepare yourself. Still worth getting our ducts cleaned out! - The day after ducts cleaned, a little residual particles came out of some vents. Other: - HVAC will need to be turned off. - Staff will need to unscrew vents, screw on a piece to certain vents, and tape it. The rest of our vents were taped shut until time to put a small tube through it, then it required the unscrew of the vent. One of our vent's drywall is old and not holding, so they'll caulk or something to cover it. - They bring their own tarp to cover any furniture. Anything under a vent will need the tarp, which they provide and will do. However, their tarp still had particles on one side. And all of our stuff is white so I'm a bit more concerned. We were lucky we had a lot of party table covers to cover our beds. *TIP: Recommend getting your own covers. - They'll test out the outlet to make sure it can handle the voltage of their machine. Dryer Health Check and Cleaning (additional $100) - Roof and dryer access needed - Dryer gets checked for air flow. The dryer will be turned on, and will be sucked out from the roof. - After cleaning, if the air flow and heat is good, then the dryer is good. Our Dryer's Health: Our dryer's bird mesh or net was actually causing heat to build up and a clog. Tal was able to unclog, and make a change so birds won't come inside, but still be good for the dryer. Maintenance Recommended: - Duct Maintenance: Cleaning every 3-5 years depending on how dirty it gets. - Dryer duct Maintenance: Recommend cleaned every year. But could get away with 1.5-2 years depending on the air flow. Dryer Duct Cleaning is $160 as a standalone service, without whole house duct cleaning. - Filter Maintenance: The staff recommended our filter to be MERV 7 for ppl who have allergies like me. And to replace every 3-5months depending on how it looks. Overall our ducts were cleaned very well, and added with anti-bacterial fogging to help with allergies!!! read more

The main thing about this vendor is that they do what they're marketed as doing and they do it well. That's worth either three or four stars. They get five because they worked around our schedule. We had some construction going on. Can't clean vents until the dust stops getting kicked up, and the end day for our contractors got pushed back three times. They changed schedule for us each time. They showed up on time, were friendly and competent. I don't even care what it cost at that point. Great company! Very responsive, quick, and knowledgable. They clean HVAC ducts and air vents and air conditioners etc the RIGHT way. I am extremely picky about this due to asthma and allergies. They use big HEPA vacuums with 5,000cfm, and negative pressure, which is strong enough for almost any purpose. DO NOT USE any company to clean your ducts that is not listed and registered on the NADCA website here: https://nadca.com/find-a-professional. Companies not certified by NADCA just dump the crap from your air ducts into your house. That is horrible for your health! We've been scammed by guys like that in the past, but never again! DO NOT use any company that shows up with a shop vac or brush only. A machine for cleaning ducts and the HVAC system should be at least about the size of a human being, not a handheld vacuum. This company, Duct Pro, is top notch, uses proper equipment, and IS NADCA CERTIFIED. We ended up going with a company that uses slightly stronger equipment mounted to a truck because of a special need we have. But we would use Duct Pro in a heartbeat, and encourage others to use them as well as long as you don't need the truck mount system (most people really, really don't need the truck mounted system, and NADCA certification allows for the system Duct Pro uses, which is very good). One thing that really stood out for me is that when I cancelled on this company they didn't harass me AT ALL. They were totally understanding that I was going with another company based on a special need, and immediately cancelled everything and didn't bother me about it. They identified that the dryer was fine and the issue was in the air duct that ports to our roof and left our home without any direction. The dyer vent in our attic was spewing lint all over. I was hesitant about calling a duct pro for service because some of them rip you off. Duct-Pro was NOT one of those rio off artists. Others might have tried to convince me that I needed to replace the dryer vent at great expense. Duct-Pro was honest. They cleaned the plug spots on the vent, applied silver tape (lasts longer than duct tape) and cleared the vent so that it would work efficiently.
