The interior is spacious, bright, and organized! The displays are very intriguing, creative, and stunning! I was mesmerized by the jelly fish ornaments! Their translucent colors and wavy tentacles are so beautiful! Maren is the friendly, knowledgeable store manager. She explained the concept of the studio - which focuses on hand painted ornaments - vs. the store - where patrons can get a customized Christmas tree that is more realistic that regular artificial Christmas trees! This Honolulu location is the second one in Hawai'i. The first location in Lahaina has been doing very well... that's why this second location opened! The hand-blown glass ornaments are hand-painted and are unique to the location. For example, the O'ahu Shave Ice ornament can only be obtained at the Ala Moana shop. You can't even order it online! This policy makes the ornaments even more special! Right now, there's a special: get a free ornament charm with a purchase of a full-sized ornament... it was very tempting, but I decided to get several mini-ornaments to give as a gift. The ornaments were packed well - because I will hand-carry them to the mainland. Maren told me about the free gift wrapping service at Ala Moana's Guest Services (located at Center Stage). Just show a same day purchase receipt. They will wrap up to three gifts for you! I'm so excited to present this high-quality gift to my cousin! I was so excited when the bouquets arrived in my hotel room and couldn't stop looking at them the whole night!! Choosing what to buy was a real struggle because everything was just that cute! The store had two friendly sales associates up front, both welcoming and incredibly helpful. To top it off, they were running a 20% off sale, which was a wonderful surprise. When I asked how long the sale would last (thinking ahead to a possible second visit haha), they said there's currently no set end date - good to know! ;) Browsing thru the store brought back so many childhood memories. They had stunning glass honu (sea turtles) and dolphin figurines, wooden carved hula dancers, handmade quilts and handbags, beautiful picture frames, as well as both casual and designer-style dresses perfect for any occasion. I had some anxiety with the wedding and whole planning process especially with the weather conditions but there was consistent and constant communication leading up and their advice and suggestions/expertise really helped in making decisions. The day itself was difficult as it was really downpouring right up until the ceremony began but seeing the staff and Cindy and Jessica work so hard for all things to come together was really wonderful and you can tell they really worked hard to make everything come together. Planning a destination is not easy at all and as much of a difficulty it is making decisions, having this team really made it so much easier and you can feel like you can leave it up to them to get everything completed. There were a few hiccups with some items of course that you can expect with all weddings for sure but it was still such an amazing and easy experience that you don't even care about the things that didn't go fully right and just remember the amazing time and the whole wedding that it didn't feel there were any regrets at all. Cindy especially was so good at responses and answering all the nitty gritty that they are such a great team and Jessica really tries to take on the stresses for you so that you're not stressed as the bride.
