Cute little shop off of King St, near the Humane Society. Street parking and a spacious parking lot in the back. There were many selections to choose from and auntie was super friendly and willing to listen to what I was trying to find. I opted for the cigar lei for my coworkers last day celebration. Pretty normal/standard lei prices. She said she hand made em earlier today. I'll definitely come back to support auntie! read more

Literally brought to tears with how beautiful the arrangement was when i picked it up. I ordered the arrangement for a church service a couple weeks a head of time. I am a novice when it comes flowers and arrangements, not knowing what to ask or what kind of flowers. With a little guidance of what the arrangement was for, I put my full faith in the sweet ladies that run the shop. Rarely do I encounter a truly remarkable experience when I go shopping. A humble shop, the owner is a woman, who really knows her craft and cares about your needs. I went in to get a simple gift for someone I was visiting in the hospital on short notice and we were short on cash at the moment. The owner knew exactly what I needed based on the age and type of person we were visiting. She put so much care and time in helping me decide what to bring even though she had other things she was working on. Terri is very sweet and I would love to come back for any floral arrangement no matter what the occasion because of her kindness and care. I love her shop because of it's simpleness and quality of the flowers. She also worked with me to stay within a budget. I would definitely go to her for any of my floral needs. I desperately needed flowers immediately for my father's funeral due to miscommunication about holiday hours. I am SOOOOO lucky that Flowers For A Friend is in my neighborhood. They had already sold out of their premade floral bouquets but they were more than willing to make one for me on the spot. Didnt Want to give any rating!!!!My niece was born and raised here in Hawaii she now lives in Arizona and wanted to purchase flowers leis for her sons banquet. So my sister went to flowers for a friend being they ship out to states. They spent over $200 for leis. When they received it the tuba Rose Lei was deadThe ti Leaf leis was Smelly and slimy. My sister went down to flower shop and explained what happened they would not refund her any money was very rude and said it wasn't their fault how could this not be their fault aren't they supposed to know how to package flowers and ship being they do that.. now my niece is left with no lease for their ceremony and down almost $300. This is not a business you would want to deal with! read more

This flower shop on King Street is A#1. When FTD canceled my online pre-order last minute, I called around desperately looking for a quality florist ghat could help last minute for an arrangement for a special memorial service early the next morning. I was surprised and frankly ecstatic when Terrie called me back at 830pm on Thursday to let me know she received my voicemail and could help me out with a floral arrangement for a Friday Memorial Service starting at 1030am. She was so kind and generous to work late that evening to prepare a gorgeous colorful mixed floral arrangement so late so I could pickup at her shop early (at 8am) the next morning. And much to my early morning surprise, the arrangement was so beautiful. She called me to make sure I would know where to park and even met me curbside to ensure I didn't get a parking ticket and to help me get the gorgeous arrangement into my vehicle. I was asked by my son's school ROTC program to help get the best price for 26 lei's in less then a week ..... Terri the owner is AWESOME! Her flowers are super fresh and she always takes special care to be sure I am pleased when I pick up my orders. She takes the flower lei out of her prepared packages, gently shows them to me and places them back in with so much care. They are marked with each lei name and tied up, and ready to go. I love this flower shop! They can make bouquets of flower and leis. Also you can buy single flower as well. Some shops you need to buy bouquet of flower. But here you can buy a rose or just 3 roses The lady at the shop knows about flowers and plants very well. When I see unusual flower there, I always ask her about the flower. Bought flowers for my mom's birthday here. I had been looking at other flowers all day in Manoa and on King street and was about to give up, but found this gem of a place! The ladies here greeted me warmly and helped me to find flowers that were in my budget. They had a lot of options and a variety of flowers which helped me to make something special for my mom. They showed me all the different colors of roses and flowers they had taken the time to get to know me and understand me as a customer. The only thing was that I wished they had taken off the plastic wrapping on the carnations when wrapping it up, but I knew I was going to put it in a vase and take it off anyway, so not a big deal. This is a cutle little flower shop located in McCully (on S. King Street). It's run by a cute lilttle Asian lady who is so humble and friendly! I found this place by accident when I needed a lei for a friend and forgot to buy one. I think I ended up coming here at 10:00 p.m. on a school night and they were still open. The shop owner greeted me with such a cute smile, offered several options for leis, and was really sweet. I noticed that she was preparing some tuberrose flowers to make a lei later that night. She had been plucking off the old petals, and I stopped to smell them. The shop owner then gave me the extra tuberrose flower petals and put it in a plastic bag - all for FREE. The flowers are here...but the customer service is not. The two women at the counter were so focused on putting together arrangements, that they ignore the customers that walk in. It's a very small store, so you are practically at the register when you step in. "Yet, greeting could maybe still be missed?" I asked a question about shipping flowers, and got a "shipping 101" lecture about how FedEx lacks in keeping flowers refrigerated. My girlfriend and I came in on Mother's Day to grab some last minute flowers and we were happy to see that they still had some. Yes, we should've ordered ahead of time, but I digress. The roses were less than good quality and we were charged $52 for a dozen. On top of that, we asked for it to be decorated with some other plants (baby breath etc) and they refused to sell us anything other than loose roses or lilies. Regrettably we asked for the flowers to be wrapped, but all they did was wrap a paper around it and tape it together like I was buying a fish from the market. I can't say enough about my experience with Flowers for a Friend. Sadly, I never got to meet Cherrie in person. I found her on Yelp and Google and her reviews were excellent. So I took a chance. Last minute too. I called on Monday for a delivery to my hotel Tuesday - my wife's birthday. We agreed on a tropical arrangement and she quoted me a very fair price including delivery to my room and a tup for the bell desk person. Who even thinks of that? So it arrived and it was perfect and created exactly the sense of occasion I was . we were in Honolulu for 2 weeks and the birthday was on Day 3. On Day 14, "flowers day 11", they were still very pretty. Only the Bird of Paradise had its day around Day-7. Thank you so much Cherrie. You are top class. Best. Michael. read more

My father brought a huge corporate account to Cindys, which they made A LOT of money from. He had a personal relationship with the owners, which kept us loyal for decades. After my father passed, the company cut tie with Cindy's. I was devastated and didn't understand why. Cindy's always gave us the best service. Recently I found out why relations were cut. Cindy's has really changed and no longer provides the great customer service they once did. I placed a very important order for an event on the mainland to be shipped out and arrive a day before the event. I placed the order over a month in advance and was promised it would be just fine and well taken care of. Well, when the week of the event came, I called every day, multiple times a day, just to confirm everything. They won't answer their phones. I sent emails and messages through their website. Those also went unanswered. I even went to the store in person before work at 6am, nut it wasn't open yet. I had no way of getting in touch with them and wondered if they had shut down. I had to go on the faith that they have always provided us stellar service in the past. I was so wrong. Cindy's completely forgot to send my order at all, and left me without anything, the day before the event. The amount of stress I went through trying to find a florist on the mainland to provide lei was insane. Cindy's finally answered my many messages the day before. They said they could try to overnight my order that they forgot, but there were no promises it would get there on time, since the event was on a Saturday. I still have not been sent a receipt from them, which I asked for multiple times, or confirmation of the mailing. The lei did go, and my credit card got a huge charge, but without the receipt, I don't even know what I paid them for. And really, after all they put us through, they should have comped the order. My dad would be rolling in his grave to know how far downhill the company that he loved to support has gone. As for me, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I do truly hope they can get it together and grow back into the great company they once were.

Up until now, they've always done a great job, but this recent experience for Mother's Day was extremely disappointing. First, the delivery driver brought the wrong bouquet. I paid $209.41 (including delivery), but my mom received a bouquet that was clearly not what I ordered later confirmed to be a lower priced arrangement. I had to call customer service, who then contacted the driver immediately. While I appreciate that they responded quickly, it still took about 47 minutes for the driver to return, take back the incorrect bouquet, and retrieve the correct one from the truck. When the correct arrangement finally arrived, the presentation was still off. The vase was too short for the flowers, making the bouquet look unbalanced and like it was falling out. For over $200, I expected much better attention to detail and quality. On top of that, the company advertised "free delivery," but that only applied to very limited areas on the island. I still had to pay a delivery fee despite the initial mistake being entirely on their end, which felt misleading. Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience, especially for a special occasion like Mother's Day. I've had good experiences before, but this one really missed the mark.

Located on the corner of 3rd Avenue and Waialae Avenue, across from Chaminade University/Saint Louis School, Patty's Floral Designs is a local business that has been around for decades! The quality is outstanding! I looked at Patty's Instagram posts and was blown away by the colors, varieties, and beauty of her creations! She has a good eye and is very professional! I just had to meet her after passing by the shop all of these years! We were picking up lunch from the restaurant next door. The free, small, shared parking lot is much appreciated! I went inside initially for the air-conditioning. Then, I met Patty - she is so sweet! She showed me a lei po'o (crown of flowers for the head) that she just finished... ooh! It holds its shape because she winds the flowers around a wire! Smart! I've read reviews by my friends, Kelly K., Paul M., Nicole, Holly, Ric C., and Lyn L. They were all happy with Patty's work. I'll come here next when I need a bouquet or two!
