He showed me pictures of both the problem areas and areas that appeared secure under my house. We then walked the house perimeter to show where the critters likely got in there during the recent snowstorm. I'm confident in the accuracy of his assessment. He'll be back in a week to check on the traps. I have needed a new vapor barrier down there so I will be getting a bid for that as well. All in all, the pricing was fair and the service exceptional. The man who came over told me we had a terrible infestation of rats and that the attic needed to be cleaned out and re-insulated. He quoted me $10k for the clean up! But there were no rats. They didn't trap one, and the bait wasn't touched. When I finally got the guts to go into the attic myself I saw about an 8 foot square area with old rodent damage. That was it.
