Items were removed from our home without notice, I had to hound them for updates once a week even though daily updates were promised in the job quote. Prior to payment, responses were fairly prompt, usually within 24 hrs -- after payment, the rep (Jacob Darden) stopped responding to my emails except to argue about why I shouldn't receive a refund for a 2 month late hygiene report that came back showing soot still in the house. I called Jacob to explain why a refund was warranted and received a verbal confirmation that a refund would happen. This was followed by continuing to ignore all emails over the course of 2 months of attempting to get a response. This kind of customer service is unacceptable. I would advise anyone to avoid working with PuroClean.

We hired Total Exterior to remove and replace 116 linear feet of 8' wooden residential fence. Part…read moreof the project required removal of a large fig ivy that was intertwined with the fence which was included in the pricing. The quoted price was competitive but not the lowest. Comparable projects take 3-5 days from start to finish. This project took three weeks despite good weather. They usually worked the job with one person. Sometimes they had two people working, far too little manpower for the job. They started work each day at mid-day, never early in the day, and did not have adequate tools and equipment to get this job done in a workmanlike manner. Each evening during the project, despite repeated requests to clean the site, they left the area scattered with vegetation debris, scrap lumber, dirt, rotten wood, nails, and general trash. We ended up cleaning the site ourselves, almost daily, to control the dirt, dust, and debris that surrounded our house. The pace of the work was too slow and the constant irritation of a seemingly unending yet relatively basic project made the experience unsatisfactory. This is ironic because the fence itself is a nice product and we like it. Had it been done within a reasonable time and in a workmanlike way, the overall result would have been much better.

When it was time to start the work, there was 1 guy (2 if you count the dad who just tidied up) and it was going to be done in 1 day. Surprise to me but he said after they assessed it more, that was all it was going to take. Fine, I don't care as long as it's done and right. Katy Paint Pro wasn't the cheapest quote I got but also wasn't the most expensive. Turns out Jason had subcontracted the work out, which again, I don't care as long as the job is done right. Unfortunately it was not. Granted, they did do a good job in some areas, but not so much in others. It was late in the evening and seemed like they were rushing so they could leave. They were free handing transitions from ceiling to wall and not covering things up to protect from spilage. There was paint and spackle everywhere. I later called Jason to have the guy come up and finish and clean up the mess. He would contact the subcontractor but that guy would just give me the run around asking for more time or not answering. Tried calling Jason a few times and the same thing. I expected he send someone else to finish the work or something but same run around. Cross your fingers with this one.
