I am soooo glad I met Mr. Gus! He was by far the best decision I made for my daughter. If it were possible to give him more than 5 stars I would. Mr. Gus was awesome!! I thought my daughter was pretty much unteachable and would need so much more additional driving time in order to pass the driving test. She is book smart, but with other things...wheeeew, I feared! But boy, was I wrong!!!! And I have no one to thank other than Mr. Gus. I knew from the first conversation that he would be perfect. Mr. Gus was so pleasant and welcoming. I could immediately tell that he loves what he does; it wasn't just a job for him. My daughter lacked a lot of confidence with driving and Mr. Gus made her feel that she could do anything. Mr. Gus could have easily told me that my daughter needed additional help, but he was very honest and gave her exactly what she needed. Afterall, he got me to see that my daughter's skills were far better than I had thought and she did not require any additional help. He was so encouraging, and the day of the test I will never forget. There were complications that almost kept Mr. Gus from being at my daughter's test, and she really wanted him there! When we arrived to testing, we knew Mr. Gus couldn't make it. When it was my daughter's time to be tested, she literally froze and would not bulge. No matter what I said, nothing helped. Then by the grace of God, Mr. Gus called and said, "Let her know I'm here. Send her out so I can talk to her." I don't know what he said to her, but all I know my daughter was so calm, got in that car, and not only passed the test, but she aced it!!!!!! I could not have done it without Mr. Gus' help, and now I understand why he is highly recommended. I do and will continue to recommend Mr. Gus to anyone!! As a matter of fact, a parent at the testing facility noticed his interaction with my daughter an had to get his number. I looked into several schools- and I know what to look for since I am a DUI/ Defensive Driving instructor- and Mr. Gus is who I chose. Absolutely no regrets; nothing but thankfulness!!!! read more

I moved to Atlanta, GA from Washington, DC. I had taken some driving courses (and got my learner's) in DC, but had to take more in Atlanta because the ATL road test requires additional things (i.e. reverse driving, parallel parking, etc.). I practice with Mr. Gus about 4-5 times. The lessons are somewhat expensive to me (because I'm a broke college student), however they were 100% worth it to me. Each lesson consisted of driving for 2hours (I did time it myself because as I said I'm a broke college student and need the services that I pay for). Not once did Mr. Gus try to short me! I swear each lesson I learned something new! Mr. Gus seems to be a little picky, however he is very experienced and tells students exactly how the rater will score during the road test (rater's are VERY PICKY DURING THE ROAD TEST, ESPECIALLY FOR YOUNG DRIVERS). Even if you don't use all the picky driving skills that Mr. Gus will teach, definitely use them for the road test (If you want to pass). A couple of days before the road test, the person who was going to let me use their car fell through, and I called Mr. Gus and he was willing to wake up at 6am to meet me at the DMV!!!! Simply because I was his student and he felt that I was ready to drive (without wrecking his car)! That morning Mr. Gus was on time and all the required paperwork, gave me a good pep talk, we practiced the day before, and I PASSED THE TEST!!!! Mr. Gus is somewhat talkative, but I attribute that to southern hospitality, plus if you're sitting in a car with someone for 2hours on several occasions, why not build a relationship. I would say that I did take up sending reminder texts/calls to Mr.Gus about our appointments. Life is busy, and sh*^ happens! I would say that I'm 100% pleased with Mr. Gus services, and would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs to pass the road test asap read more

Mr. Gus is the best driving instructor out there! He was referred to me by a couple of my friends in high school who raved about him. At the time I was a very nervous, and not to confident individual. I met Mr. Gus and all of that changed for me. I remember my first lesson with him, and I experienced first hand why my friends spoke so highly of him. His patience, personality, and timing is impeccable! Thank you Mr. Gus for teaching my 18 year old daughter how to drive and using defensive driving skills to keep her safe! Mr. Gus came to our house in Douglasville to pick her put and within 2 lessons my daughter was able to drive our cars without being scared. She got her driving licence on the first attempt. We are enjoying the money were saving on car insurance just because our daughter completed driving ed classes prior to getting her licence. Again Thank you Mr. Gus for the wonderful experience! Mr. Gus is a amazing driving instructor. His style is very old school and helpful. i had 5 lesson with him and we when through everything i needed to know about the road. He was on time every time he pick me up. Mr. Gus made me feel comfortable.We had a great time on the road he told me many funny stories about his life. I love Mr. Gus! He really helped me become comfortable behind the wheel, and when I was a few days away from taking my test, he made time for me to come and work with him. He showed me some easy ways to parallel park and park backing into a spot. He is a great instructor and I would recommend him to anyone looking for an instructor. Mr. Gus is the BEST driving instructor in the world! He is very funny, optimistic and on time every session. Me being in a high school, he made it very convenient for me to plan lessons on the weekends. Not only did he teach me but he also taught two generations in my family.
