Just an update on this hotel. They are now called Harmony inn. after using google hotels search finding this room for $107 the next morning my bill reflected $139 I asked them in the office about this and I was told corporate sets price nothing they could do. seems to me like the bait and switch- beware The rooms were clean but the bed was awful - The bed was like it was set up on milk crates. Absolutely AWFUL! We arrived about 9 pm with a paid in advance reservation. We got the very last room available. Ok. That was all fine and dandy.... except there were people EVERYWHERE. We approach our room and have to walk through a wall of cigarette butts and smoke. The people in the rooms to either side had chairs out everywhere, even the recliners that belong inside the room, out in the walkway while drinking and smoking. I immediately had to turn on the AC unit to drown out all of the curse words and drunkin yelling from outside our room. Within minutes of the AC unit operating my allergy ridden husband was wheazing and unable to breath. He had to sleep inside out vehicle because something in the dirty ac unit was making him sick. 2 of children were coughing all night long from allergies in the room. I didn't get to sleep until nearly 4 because of the yelling, and door slamming around us. We may have had a wrestling match in the room next door. I wake up about 7, the usual time with children. Open our door to go get breakfast and there is a huge pile of pink vomit in front of the door next to us, within feet of my door. A few drips of vomit on the way to the parking lot, and another huge pile a few feet away. Flies buzzing away. Breakfast was ok. the waffles were fresh because we made them ourselves.... except we had to walk over barf to get to the food... As I was loading the vehicle (by myself, because my husband could still not breathe in that room), all the while walking over/around puke, housekeeping was working the building but no one bothered to try to clean up vomit. Fucking disgusting. I went to the office to check out and address the problems. However the front desk clerk and another person in hotel uniform were laughing it up and hardly gave me the time of day. Simply said 'receipt?' I said yes. She handed the receipt to me, turned around, and resumed her conversation. I have never ever had such a terrible hotel experience. Ever. We stayed on Saturday August 1, 2020. read more

We stayed here for three days as we visited friends in the area and checked out numerous outdoors activities in Valentine. The breakfast was excellent here - everything tasted good - including the biscuits and gravy. Staff was generally nice and attentive. Price was decent - not going to find anything super cheap in this area. It's also within walking distance from some good steakhouses/restaurants and bars. BTW, you can book a non-smoking, non-pet room if you wish. Look online. The upstairs rooms are non-smoke, non-pet. They have ashtray cans outside these rooms. We stayed in an upstairs room and had sound sleep. The only detraction is no pool - I would've enjoyed this as I had a extended stay here but Econo Lodges typically don't have pools anyhow. read more

Very nice and caring staff. Rooms were nice and the decor was very pleasant with wood floors and ceilings with matching furniture.

I stayed here in 2014 and was not impressed, they happily accepted pets so I stayed. Tonight (10/01/2015) I stopped in again because of their pet policy. Imagine my surprise when i opened the door to find: A recliner Hardwood floors New beds Samsung flat panel TV A 110v / USB port power strip / charging station New table New dresser. My room has been recently remodeled and they are in the process of remodeling all the other rooms. I am most pleased with this place and will stay here again for sure. The only downside is the wifi is unsecure. read more

Day 3 into our 8 day RV road trip we encounter a hiccup. Our Rv broke down in the middle of US 83. Our tow guy (Adam) came to our rescue and drop us and our RV off here. We go inside the lobby and was greeted by Alisa. She was super pleasant. Bottom line This place is awesome. Room was clean. Staff was super friendly. Breakfast was yummy. Price was right. Thank you for the great stay. If we ever make it back to Valentine , NE we will for sure come back. read more

It looked recently renovated with comfortable furniture and nice layout. It was quiet. Wood-like floors, fat pillows, decent wifi, adequate breakfast--a good value. Restaurants & grocery stores in walking distance; well everything in Valentine is within walking distance. There is parking for trucks & trailers. read more

A little dated, but not bad. Stopped in for the night to grab some shut eye. While the overall hotel looks a little dated, the place was very well kept and clean. The rooms had modern flat screens, but unfortunately a lack of outlets to charge your devices. They have a free continental breakfast in the morning, which had enough options to fill you up (waffles, toast, bagels, fruit, cereal, etc.). Again, this didn't knock my socks off, but for small town Nebraska it fit the bill. Overall, if I was in the area and needed a place to stay, this is certainly acceptable. read more

This is a pet-friendly hotel and is the ONLY reason we stayed here, but would NEVErR stay again. If a hotel room needs a plug-in to smell good then it may need some updating or a thorough cleaning. The plug-in was so strong we had to put it outside because it was irritating our noses and throats. I can't stand pet-friendly hotels that charge you a fee for your pet and then give you the worst room in the hotel. This hotel looks new and fresh on the outside, but the room we had was OLD and TIRED. Go a few miles in either direction to find a different pet-friendly hotel! read more
