Walking in viewing 2 dead plants, a man drinking a 5th of vodka in the parking lot & a young girl pacing, running & sitting in the corner of the parking lot we should have NEVER checked in. We did. The smell of smoke, the dirt near their "breakfast" area with towels catching leaking fluids, the caution tape on the elevator the hallways and steps with all the LIVE and DEAD bugs. Our room was dirty. No bedspread just a blanket with 5 stains on it and one was FRESH. This place needs shut down or cleaned top to bottom. Every single smoke alarm was broken or not even put together. Each floor smelled of smoke and mildew. I'm not sure how this place is even open! We checked out after an HOUR of trying to talk ourselves into staying. Didn't ask for a refund, but should have. But, I see no one gets refunds! This hotel needs attention! I'm sure like anyone who pulls into the parking lot there's a handful of reason to turn right around. So I went in to cancel my reservation due to the caution tape all over the building, the trash and broken down cars, pieces of fenders, and the guest sitting out front passed out in a chair. Once I went inside there were kids covered in dirt screaming and running around flipped me off and ran out laughing. I understand that guests children wouldn't be the hotels problem but they came from behind the desk so I feel it may be the hotels problem. Following that I canceled my reservation- didn't get my money back but did not care. I did walk upstairs to see the rest of the hotel and wow! The rooms to the door were wide open and looks ransacked and the few guests there that were walking around with no shirts on and one was smoking a cigarette just walking around. Our destination was upstate New York however we were driving into a blizzard on Christmas Eve/day through Erie Pennsylvania. I called to find out if they had availability, it was 3am on Christmas day. We were not expecting much but we got a very comfortable bed and extremely comfortable pillows. As well as a kind staff. Highly recommend staying here if you need a place to stay. read more

This is a terrible hotel. The hotel and rooms stink. The lights don't work, there's a constant screeching noise and they constantly flicker. The bed sheets were damp. And there was no blanket or comforter provided. Only a miserable scratchy piece of fabric. This is a very run down place read more

If I could give a zero I would because this place does not deserve even a 1! The staff was rude the hotel was disgusting and that's just the beginning! The first floor smelled that cat pee. The second floor smelled like cigarettes! The towels and sheets had stains on them! Then the bed was not even positioned in the right spot because the headboard was next to the bed and the bed and pillows where pushed up against the wall with exposed electrical outlets, like the are trying to set the place on fire! I recommend anyplace but here! Oh and definitely don't expect an customer service from the blond manager with absolutely manners and acts as if it is beneath her to help paying customers! Right off the highway next to Appleby's and a well lit gas station is this Econolodge. I stopped here late one night after a long day. I had called 20 min earlier to see if they had a vacancy. The desk man was terrific. Both on the phone and when I arrived. Professional. Polite. Efficient. Asked if I was AAA for additional discount. Pretty great. Room is tiny. Much smaller than other Econolodges I've been in. But fine for one person. Tight for two. TV is old style and a little on the fuzzy side, but I got in late so was not watching tv much. Here for longer than 6 hours of sleep it might be annoying. My room was non smoking but I don't think the whole hotel is. They have breakfast service starting at 6 am. We were 2 families traveling. This easily met our budget but we would try very hard not to stay again. Zero wifi. Free wifi advertised but it was impossible to connect. We tried a number of typical devices -- smart phones, laptops, tablets. Nothing. Good tv and very clean. We had 2 rooms. One of the rooms had a small washcloth labeled 'OOPS' which was kind of puzzling; the other room had a small paper explaining that the OOPS cloth could be used to clean up messes, but this room had no cloth labeled 'OOPS'. Good idea. Free breakfast with zero protein. We ate at nearby Perkins. There was a laundry room but front desk could not make any change and was unable to advise how many quarters needed for a wash. It was not the typical put quarters in a slotted device and push. Front desk kept insisting it was that type. read more

Hotel continues to deteriorate over the 4 years I have stayed here. Parking lot is crumbling. Not clean. Dead bugs all over the place. Standing water in hallway from our room to back entry door. Holes in bed spread. Some of the towels were grey even though they were "clean." Bed was like sleeping in a hammock. Did have a/c and hot water so I guess it was better than sleeping outside, but what a dump. read more

Below are just some of the issues we had during our stay. 1. Light fixture fell on my sister's head 2. Asked to speak to a manager, was told there was no manager 3. Ask to have maintenance fix the light fixture was told there was no maintenance. 4. There was a bag of weed stuffed in the window sill and a half-used q-tip 5. Ashes along the headboard that were never cleaned up. 6. Sister had a family emergency and needed to leave early but we were told that the person at the front desk did not have the authority to do that (he was the "manager") 7. I was part of a group that stayed here over this past weekend from 09/22/23 to 09/24/23. In total, we had 4 rooms across our group. When we arrived, one of the rooms we were given to us was occupied. The next room that was given to them smelled strongly of Marijuana, as if someone had been smoking in there just recently. The floors in all the rooms were so disgusting that all of our socks turned brown/black just walking around. The bathroom sink in one of the rooms took 15 minutes to drain, there were "Little Tree" car scent things attached to the air ducts in the rooms which is something I have never seen before. The lighting in these rooms is pitiful at best, and some lights were actually strobing. One of the comforters in a room was full of cigarette burn holes, and many of the towels were stained/ browning. If I could give a 0 star rating I would. I would never recomend anyone stay at this location. If your trying to save a few bucks I would recomend going to Dunhams nearby and buying a tent or some sleeping bags and sleeping in your vehicle before going here. read more

This was the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed at. You can hear ever conversation from rooms around you through the exhaust vent in bathroom. Ever time someone shuts a door it sounds like it's being slammed. Would've got better sleep in my truck than at this hotel. The bed was not comfortable at all. I travel about 3 weeks of every month. I stay at Choice Hotels as much as possible because of their price and rewards program. I prefer Comfort and Quality Inns. I'm hesitant to stay at Econo Lodges but this location was very simple and clean. Will stay here again my next time in the area. read more

If there was lower than one star i would put it. The hotel was run down, under staffed and dirty. I was there because we had to go to a funeral. The diary room they put us in had hair in the sheets and then in the bathroom. We asked to be moved and they told us were sorry they didn't clean that room. (So you put me in a room that you know was dirty?) Then they moved us to a second room that was worse then the first. There was mild in the tub and the room was dirty. The sheets where changed but that was it. Complained again and they said oh well the sheet says it was cleaned. (Really as a manager you don't check on your staff?) I cleaned the bathroom myself after taken pictures. Tried to change hotels but they already charged my card without my permission before we even got there! I was stuck. The beds where so bad that my Dad had to have help to move and get up for the day. He had trouble even getting to the bathroom. When we checked out i filled out the card. Complained to the head manager as she asked me how my stay was. She said to me "Now that's not nice." Really you don't clean and the hotel is horrible. The food you serve looked to bad to even try and it's right in the lobby where people coming in are coughing and blowing there nose. So in sanitary! Will never stay there again! Was so grossed out the whole time I was stuck there and at such a horrible time for my family. I have that feedback card a week ago and no one has reached out to me. Room was small and a used tissue (not mine) was by the side of the bed. The a/c was so cold that it was miserable in the room-and there was no way to change it! The people at the front desk had no idea. this place is a rip-off. tried to book 2 rooms thru there website, got bounced to a site called book-it, had to go thru this site to confirm reservations. econo lounge charged my card in a matter of minutes, did not put a hold on card but charged it. had to cancel reservations due to family crisis, cancelled a week before confirmation date, no refund, they charged my card but went back on book-its policy of no refunds. ripped me off 319.00 and chances are rebooked the rooms i cancelled. not a nice business to deal with. read more
