My husband and I were doing a short bike trip in the area and this Quality Inn is fairly central to all of the trails. Its exterior looks a bit dated--probably 1970s-1980s but don't let that fool you. Our room was clean and comfortable, the staff was pleasant, and the breakfast was fairly typical, with a decent variety. Check-in was fine. The staff person at the front desk (shoutout to Karen) was very friendly and helpful, informing us about breakfast and a local restaurant next door to the hotel. Immediately upon entering my room, it smelled old and musty; flipping on the fan cleared the air in a few minutes. The rooms themselves were fine. Obviously, attempts at updating have been made (paint, carpets, plugs for electronics, coffee maker, etc,.) You could tell the rooms and furniture were old, but perfectly adequate. About half a hour after we got into our rooms, we received a call from reception asking if everything was ok, and if we needed anything. Shortly thereafter, while using the bathroom sink, it wouldn't drain. I called down to reception, informed them of the problem and that I was going out for a couple of hours. Upon my return, the problem was fixed! Before checking out, we received a letter under the door, hoping that our stay was fine and to let them know if we weren't satisfied. Checkout was at the reception desk and was fine. The included breakfast was ok. They had a lot of options: multiple juices, fruits, yogurt, pastries, cereals, granola bars, make your own waffle machine, your own hot oatmeal and toast, plus scrambled eggs sausages and bacon on a hot tray. They have a couple of vending machines by the elevators which carry soft drinks and snacks. For the location and being only two blocks from the center of Franklin, this hotel serves its customers well. They really go the extra mile to make people happy during their stay. I remember the hotel when it was built in the 1960s. The hallway to the elevators have pictures of old Franklin and the Oil City area, "back in the day," even before it was the original Voyager Inn. Now, it seems to be mostly an overnight business hotel; the parking lot fills up each evening and empties early the next morning; it's nice to know it's still around! read more

There is an old odd smell, but I assumed it's the ac and heating, The building seems old but that's no worry for me. Morning food was good and the morning staff are very friendly. Karen at the front desk the day I arrived was so very kind and helped me get some businesses listed that are open on Sundays and helped me get something warm to drink at night. She also talked about the history behind the town and local festivals! I will be returning so it was very good to hear about! read more

We recently stayed here for a friend's wedding. The room was clean and comfortable and we didn't have any issues though my husband did complain that we were at the very end of the hallway. No big deal to me though - I need the exercise. But, access to a stairwell would have been nice. The grab and go breakfast was okay. I can't wait for Covid to go away so we can have a better hotel breakfast! Overall we enjoyed our two night stay. The staff was great - professional and friendly. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in town. read more

Hands down, the CLEANEST hotel in the Choice Hotel group. We love this place and have always chosen it over newer hotels in the area when visiting family. The staff makes a point of greeting you every time they see you. Beds are extremely comfortable. Parking is easy, hotel is quiet and accommodations are spot on for this award winning property. Kudos to the owner who has done an outstanding job of renovating this property. The restaurant is an added bonus. Food is quite good and a hotel guest discount is offered at dinner time. Here's what the Quality Inn of Franklin has going for it: price, location, a yummy hot breakfast, and fantastic customer service. It's situated on the main drag through Franklin, PA, so if you're headed to Titusville, Oil City, Warren, or any other parts of the Allegheny National Forest, it's right on your way. And the town is way cute, so you might want to make Franklin itself your final travel destination. They have a bar and restaurant on site, although the restaurant closes early at 930, with the bar staying open later on weekends. However, if you arrive past the restaurant's serving hours (which I always do), you're just a short walk down the street to the Commons, which serves food later. You're also very nearby a 24-hour Sheetz and a handful of other bars and restaurants. The location of this Quality Inn is great. And the staff is the best. So friendly and helpful! On my most recent visit, I could not get my computer to log into the WiFi, no matter what I tried. After half an hour of struggling, I called the front desk for help, and Steve had me bring my laptop down (at 12:30am no less!) and had me online in minutes, while still multi-tasking to check in 2 other guests with a smile. Seriously, SUCH great customer service! Free hot breakfast (eggs, breakfast meat, bagels, waffles, etc.) included in the morning. But the building itself? Well... it's seen better days. Don't get me wrong: the rooms are spotlessly clean, but they are OLD. Not 'charming old Victorian hotel' old, but 'please corporate offices, reward the staff for the awesome job they are doing here and give this place a makeover' old. Old-style yellowish lightbulbs, 1970s tile in the showers, and a heating/AC unit that sounds like it might take off and fly out the window at any minute. Not all of the rooms have desks, so be sure to ask if you are planning to do some work while you're there. Still, you are stocked with three-prong outlets (right by the bed for your phone charger) and a flat screen TV. (We couldn't get the one in my room to work on my last visit for some reason - but again, the awesome customer service came through and they offered to move me to a different room that had a working TV if I wanted.) To be honest, my rating of this hotel goes between a 3 and a 4. If half-stars were allowed, it'd be a solid 3.5. But the staff rescues this hotel from any of its negative attributes, so I rounded up. If you're staying in Franklin or one of the neighboring communities, this Quality Inn is a solid bet for your lodging. Even if the building is a little outdated, the attention of the staff will make you feel like you're family. read more

Really not a bad place to stay in a town this size. They typically do a good job of accommodating my mother's mobility issues and the service is pretty good. Breakfast tends to be good with at least some variety. I've spent a number of nights and holidays here since my brother lives in town. It works well enough and it appears they've upgraded a few things since the last time I visited. read more

We have definitely experienced better, but the customer service/concierge at this hotel was phenomenal! Kim greeted us with a smile and was extremely friendly when we arrived. She proceeded to make our first 30 minutes even more pleasant after she called our room to see how everything was. Thank you for caring Kim! If we every find ourselves in Franklin, PA again I would stay at this hotel because of this experience. Mediocre accommodations, terrible management. I needed to book a stay for work and did so while at work, not realizing at first that I had booked the wrong dates. Honest mistake. The manager was very rude due to me accidentally reserving the wrong dates for my stay and needed to change them. (Apparently people are supposed to be perfect and never make mistakes). She would not give me a receipt for my stay and was very condescending. Will not stay here again, and will definitely tell everyone I know not to stay there either. That's just not how you treat people, especially when they've paid to stay at your establishment. Zero sense of customer service. read more

I have been driving by this place for years and my partner booked us a room here so we could have a night on the town in Franklin for light up night. If I could give this place zero stars I would or not review at all, however, since I can't I'll just do one. To start, the manager is completely 100% without a backbone. If you have a group event I would not recommend due to the fact that they are completely rude and will most likely call your group disrespectful. I gave them a second chance two years later and nothing has changed. If they know you are a part of a large group, they will threaten to kick you out of the hotel if you get "too loud" or "too rowdy" even if there has been no reason given, especially if the group has a demographic of a majority of under 30 year olds. Overall, if you have the option to stay somewhere else, do so or literally just use this place to sleep and do NOT host a large group here. read more

Out of all the hotels I've ever stayed with, this Quality Inn is the worst hotel hospitality I have ever experienced. The staff was indescribably rude and unhelpful from the moment me and my fiancé checked in. At one point, I heard them threaten another couple and say they would kick them out if their television was too loud. I was honestly appalled. Older property seriously in need of updating. Room was clean, but small bathroom had outdated shower with separate hot and cold handles, instead of modern integrated handle for hot and cold. Smooth check-in with Ashley, and same with check out by Kim the next day. All staff says, 'hello', to guests, a nice touch. OK for a one or two night visit.
