My wife and I stayed here recently and I must say the stay was mostly pleasant however the elevator…read morewas out of order when we arrived and all the guests had to trudge up and down the stairs making for a rather cumbersome Friday night stay. To help compensate for this inconvenience, hotel staff did volunteer to help us upstairs with our bags. Also, the ice machine on the 2nd floor was not working forcing those of us staying on the 2nd floor to use the machines on either the first or third floors. Although there is a sign posted in the lobby stating that the property is smoke-free , the bench near the front door serves as a location for employees to hang out and smoke. So much for a smoke free property! Across the parking lot there is a a Best Western under construction so maybe competition will make this a better run Hotel. Parking in their spacious lot was free( there seems to be a trend towards hotels charging guests for parking) and our room was nice with a firm king size bed and microwave and fridge and a very capable air conditioner ; however our TV remote did not allow us to view a guide to see what channels had on at the same time ; we had to simply punch in channel numbers and watch what would come on the screen just like we used to do back in the 1970's ; unfortunately, the operation of our window blind was so bad that the cord snapped and we had to manually wrap the blind upon itself in order to allow light into the room. Getting something to eat was more difficult than it had to be. Yes, Braum's and Dairy Queen are ok; but so many restaurants in town have such petty hours of operation. Why open a restaurant if your only going to be open 3 hours a day? We decided on the Juba pizza bar on Sam Rayburn Drive more often than any other place simply because they're open seven days a week with a varied menu.

I waited for 10 min for someone to check me into the hotel.... I have to say it probably was not the ladies fault, she was cleaning up from leaks to the building from the rain. Then get to the second floor (after having to come back down to program my room key a second time), to the most awful smell in the hallway. Did get to sleep, came down to work out room and found some of the machines broke, no disaffection wipes to wipe down equipment with. Needed to print something for work and no ink in the printer. All in all a disappointing experience. I have to say it could be a decent hotel, just looks like poor management and training of employees.

In Dallas for work and decided to make a long weekend. We left hotel in Ft Worth on Saturday…read moremorning and drove 1.5 hours to Durant OK. This resort was amazing. It was my second time but my husbands first time. We checked in at the spa tower. Valet was included in our resort fee of 19.99 per day. Check in was easy and we went to get our casino cards. We walked around about 4 hours, even tho our room was ready when we arrived. Dropped our bags and left. We were on the 9th floor. Nice room and decent view. The casino is gigantic! So many games, slots and table games. There is a movie theater , concert venue, bowling alley, arcade, several restaurants and bars and a food court. We didn't make it to the pool but got wristbands in case we had time. Only there for 1 night. Casino: slots were tight but I played for most of the night on various blackjack and roulette games. My winnings were steady. There are plenty of machines. The only negative is while you are playing, bar service is pretty much nonexistent. I saw waitresses walking around the tables but not once at the machines and we were all over. Get your own drinks at a bar or cart before sitting or prepare to get up to get them. Food: we ate at Smashburger for lunch. I really enjoyed my burger and fries. They were smash fries with a nice sauce on them and truffle oil. The burger was flavorful. I got a caramel Cinnabon. Another great treat. For dinner we went to the seafood buffet. It was 55.00 each and we were excited. Every.single.thing was overcooked. Fried fish, shrimp, chicken and snow crabs, all overcooked so hard I couldn't finish one bite of any of them. That bad. The etouffee was good but the rice was crispy. I immediately called for the manager. She apologized profusely and offered a full refund. Yeah we couldn't eat there. Great service and I hope they took the feedback and made changes. Finally, I ate velvet taco and hubby had chicken strips from the hot chicken place , good late night eats on both fronts. Checkout time on Sunday arrived too fast but we got packed up to hit the road and got our free soft drinks to go. Got the valet validated and on our way. Excellent stay and we will go back. You do not have to leave once you get there.

If I'm paying over 50 bucks for a plate that I'm suppose to use more than 1x then I'd like to have did that. But it wasn't worth the extra plates. The crab legs were very skinny with little to no meat inside of them. If you need me to elaborate on the rest of the restaurants I certainly can. I for one don't feel like it's worth my time. I already wasted my money.

They have lovingly restored Carleton House and amassed a collection of antique musical instruments, photographs, and other artifacts displayed throughout the home. The very informative tour included music played by Karen and Steve. I can't say enough about the breakfasts; Karen is an outstanding cook, and she was very considerate about our dietary restrictions. We ate in the music room in front of a cozy fire on a different set of beautiful china each day. The attention to detail everywhere was amazing: rose petals and chocolates in the room, wide selection of shampoos/conditioners/etc., fresh baked cookies on arrival, I could go on and on. We will definitely be back!

Booked the hotel stay Dec 23 for Jan 24th. Received an EMAIL the evening of Jan 22nd that it was cancelled because they overbooked themselves. Instead of calling to see what they could do to make it right, they moved us 12 miles away to a much lower rated hotel for the same cost....telling us the great news that we would get double points! (I don't travel enough for points to be worth anything especially with the large amount of points needed to get real benefits.) When we called for assistance they would not tell us why we were specifically chosen to be bumped from our room and would not offer anything else as but the extra points. I purposely booked this hotel because of it's location to an event center for an event. Needed the specific room because out of state people were joining us. It was all done on purpose as a need. This hotel chain did not act sorry. We only got the scripted "sorry, here's points and a crappier hotel further away"

AMAZING PLACE!!!!!! I have only been to 2 bed and breakfasts…read morein my life. One a few months ago in San Antonio and then this one. Me and my husband were celebrating our second wedding anniversary and wanted to get away for a romantic getaway and Davis on Morton was PERFECT! It had everything beat from the bed and breakfast we stayed in in San Antonio. The only downfall that some people might have is that it's just a bedroom and bathroom. The one in San Antonio was like an apartment. It had a full kitchen, dining room and living room. But we didn't use any of it once. Most people don't while on vacation. We stayed in the North room. It had a queen size bed and the bathroom was PERFECT for a romantic getaway or even just a getaway with your significant other. When we first walked in we were greeted with smiles. Glen was outside and opened the door for us and Doris was inside greeting us with a friendly smile. We brought in some fast food and they let us-actually so sweetly insisted that eat at the main dining room table downstairs to be more comfortable. We were soaked from being at Lake Texoma so I said no, it was fine because I didn't want to get those gorgeous chairs wet. So sweet Doris appreciated the thought so she said she can cover them for us so we don't get them wet. So we ate down there and talked to them. They are both soooo sweet and they make you feel right at home. They told us if we bring in a bottle of wine or something we are allowed to use the wine glasses and cork opener that they have downstairs at their bar. They just aren't allowed to let us drink the alcohol at that bar because I think there are laws regarding that. Like having a licensed bartender there if alcohol is being served to the guests. But we were welcome to use anything down stairs. I felt right at home! Before we ate our lunch we brought in, Doris showed us around upstairs and all the rooms. They are all quite amazing. The east room was the one we almost went with but the picture didn't look like the jacuzzi tub would fit 2 people. But it defiantly will! And you get the bigger king size bed in that one. Deloris was so sweet that she would have let us switch to that room but it had already been booked. (By people that didn't even show up or call to cancel) and they don't charge a cancelation fee which just shows their character and how sweet they were but if you're not going to show up, you should call and let them know because someone else could have looked at that room wanting a jacuzzi tub and couldn't book it bc both rooms with jacuzzi tubs were booked and if they had called and canceled, someone else could have booked it. It's not right to screw them over like that. They are such sweet people. Up stairs there is a hallway that has a mini fridge that has sodas and water next to it are chocolates that anyone can help themselves to. The landscaping outside is beautiful. The wrap around porch downstairs is awesome too. It has tables you can eat at, places to relax and plenty of areas to sit and enjoy the weather and having a glass of wine or a beer. One thing I really loved about Davis on Morton was all the incredible antiques. You will see some in the photos. I took a lot of photos of our room (the north room) because I did feel like I couldn't really tell from their website how great at actually was! And I took picture of downstairs. I meant to take pictures of the outside but I forgot. But they do have plenty of those pictures on the website. All in all I loved 99.9999% of everything about this place (comfortable beds, BEYONG EXCELLENT customer service, room size, even quality toilet paper not cheap thin toilet paper that you get at most places, and the breakfast in the morning....O-M-G best I've ever had at a hotel or B&B!!!) And that's all on Doris! She's the cook! And Glen serves us and makes sure we have everything we need or if we need anything else. I would rate it 100% but porcelain dolls freak me out and they have one downstairs that freaked me out haha. That would never make me give them less than 5 stars. I would give them 10 stars if I could. It's a great place to stay if you want to go to Choctaw and go to the lake. Or if you just want a romantic getaway. Thank you so much Doris and Glen! You guys were spectacular and you have an amazing place! Thanks for making mine and Eric's anniversary weekend so great!!!!
